Legal Remedy is located just outside the main street of downtown Rick Hill. we like to take our kids to the childrens museum, then come by here for a bite to eat and a brew. Ive been half a dozen times now and feel I can give an honest review. Im having a hard time deciding if I should give 3 or 4 stars, Ill give it 4 because the beer selection is large and all of the beers are delicious. Also, the food there is awesome! Think smoked meats and fried moon pies for dessert (paired with the white chocolate stout...omg!). All sounds great, right? So why the debate over 3 stars? Here we go:. I was really impressed with this brewpub our first visit. Everything was great, from service to food to drinks. The second time started out well, but the server forgot about us half way through our meal. We would have had another beer, but he was gone for so long and we had kids with us, so we had to go. The third visit left a poor taste in my mouth, figuratively. I ordered a kid meal for my son and I was asked if he wanted chips or fries. I ordered him fries to go with his $6 grilled cheese. Then I ordered a sandwich and was asked what i wanted for my side. I ordered green beans. Fast forward to receiving my bill. I was charged $1 for his french fry upgrade and $2 for my green beans. Apparently all dishes only come with chips and everything else is an upcharge. The server failed to tell me this, nor do I recall seeing this on the menu (maybe I missed it?), but the kids menu definitely reads talk sides with your parents not chips are free, well charge you for anything else. While I probably wouldnt have changed my order if Id known about the extra charges, it really upset me that the server never said anything about it and offered up other options like they were all equal. Its unfortunate that the service, or lack thereof, is bringing this awesome place down.

Legal Remedy is an absolutely wonderful establishment, and I love being able to say that without adding the "for Rock Hill" qualifier. Legal Remedy has something for nearly everyone. It really does. The beer is adequate. What they lack in quality, they make up in variety. Thats not to say the beer isnt good, but we have dozens of breweries in the Charlotte metro area, many of them making fantastic product. Despite this, they offer styles for every taste. Double Indemnity (double IPA) remains my favorite, though I also recommend the White Mocha Stout (tastes like a stout, pours/looks like a pale ale). They always have seasonal rotation, and expect the menu to change week to week. However, with typically 10+ beers on tap, you can expect to find something youll like. Where Legal Remedy really shines is the food. I have no issue saying that Legal Remedy has the best food in town. The best food in Rock Hill is served at the brewery. Everything is made from scratch, and you can usually smell the smoker going. The Pub Nachos with house-made potato chips are a favorite, as is the chicken sandwich (with super thick bacon), the house-ground burger, and the chicken strips (yea, I said it). The patio area is covered, and most of the seating consists of picnic tables. Expect to be social during busy times; they fill the tables up. There are also a couple of high-tops, and lounge chairs. Legal Remedy is family friendly, although they often run out of high chairs. As of a month ago, you can expect a (potentially significant) wait during peak times. I stopped by for a beer and snack with my family Saturday evening and the wait was a full hour to sit either in- or outside.

Great food and great beer most of the time. We recently showed up on a Sunday (which is the only days wed been able to make it in the past) and found out they they have a summer Sunday menu change or something to that effect. So instead of the promised bar pretzel that our kids love, they had tacos, tacos, and more tacos. So that time we had to leave. Based on a NORMAL day this place is easily four stars. Seriously, though. We were kinda pissed. There wasnt any information on the site about them changing it up (still isnt) and apparently its all summer. So if you look at the menu and think "I think Im man enough for The Judge", look at the calendar. If its Sunday, find something else to do or hope you like whatever random food isnt listed on the website (maybe its on social media, I have no truck with that) My main problem here is that itd just be nice if the kids menu had more than two options. Or maybe they could condescend to make a smaller cheeseburger or something so we dont have to buy a full meal for a kid that, like his parents, loves cheeseburgers.

This is a great place to grab some local suds, and great food, with friends and have a great time. They offer a state of the art futuristic facility that has robots that serve the brew for you. This place is entirely ran and operated by robots. A robotics technician comes by every once and a while to make sure the robots are operating correctly. I am here to tell you that this place may be ground zero for a robotics invasion. You have all seen the Matrix and Terminator and know that the machines have the potential to take over the human race. This place is contributing to the robots taking over the world. You all think it is a brewery, it is actually an assembly line, robots making robots who will make more robots. Pretty soon there will be robots everywhere. That is what I saw a bunch of robots plotting to kill us all. At least they all had good customer service skills. Maybe I was on too much of an "illegal remedy" called LSD when I was there. I am sure that when I return sober I will have a different experience.
