Went there for lunch today around 1145. They were not busy, it took like about 10 minutes to acknowledge us and get our drink orders. We then ordered our food and I ordered a drink off their menu Ive had before. When I received this drink it looked nothing like it did in the past. So I sent it back, and he brought me another one. Again, looked nothing like it was supposed to. I could tell it wasnt even made with the mixers listed on the menu. I could understand if I asked for a random drink, but this drink is on your menu unacceptable. So I said something about it again, hes kind what is it missing. Its supposed to have blended strawberries and coconut cream. He was like I dont know what coconut cream is, I added coconut rum. The driver K doesnt call for coconut rum. I agree with the other review, they need a legitimate bare tender. He then took the drink told me it was okay, that he would drink it and take it off my bill. I mean seriously, if you dont know what your doing either ask or say I cant make that or we dont have the ingredients to make that. Well moving on to your actual meal. I ordered fajitas they bring out the food, no tortillas for the fajitas. So I sat there for 10 minutes while my food gets cold waiting to see another employee, now again they arent busy. So we finally flag one down and he response is were out of them. At this point Im furious with the whole drink ordeal and now this. So I said if thats the case someone should have told me before I ordered my food. He responds with Im just joking. Well it would have been a funny joke had I not just sat here for 10 minutes waiting. If you really want to eat at Charandas go to the one in Fort Mill, much better customer service and they know how to make a drink!

Want to wait 45 minutes before getting served chips and salsa? Would you like to wait another 10 minutes after that and still no waiter? This is the place to go! Ive been to this location a few times before and Ive been aware since the first time of the subpar service. Ive mainly gone back because I enjoy the outside patio and the fajitas are good (you cant really mess up fajitas unless you dont cook the meat properly). This past time that I went will be the last time. I was seated by a hostess (or waiter?) in the outside patio. I timed after 5 minutes went by to see how long it would take. I was doing work which is the only reason why I stuck it out. After eating my free salsa and chips (after a 45 minute wait as I previously mentioned), I went back inside and spoke to a waiter standing, looking bored at the hostess podium. I told him how long I had waited, and he said, "Oh, we knew you were outside. People are in here...so yeah. Im not busy now. I can serve you." I almost laughed in his face. I chose to remain nice. I curtly said no thank you, and I am going next door to Jing Jing where they are actually kind. No more giving money to cooperate chains who do not give an ounce of sincere care or respect for their patrons. Plus their food isnt really THAT great. Its subpar Tex-Mex. Its not real Mexican (go to Mexico or New Mexico for that) and its barely Tex-Mex (go to Texas... these are all obvious comments). Rock Hill is a joke town for real, authentic, cultural food.

MANAGEMENT THERE IS HORRIBLE I have been a customer of Charandas since I can remember. I grew up in rock hill and I always loved the service provided. However, last night when I was in the restaurant with friend, and two guys at the bar decided to make some sexiest comments. The guys were friends of the bartender, but somehow my friend and I are the ones that are ban. I do not understand how this could happen. I felt that I was a valued customer as I have been coming for several years. The manager, Raul, came outside where I was crying and stated that he saw my tab and how much I had to drink, he did not believe that I should be allowed bc I caused a problem. I just walked outside because the guy was making SEXIEST remarks to me. I had one medium margarita and two shots we were there for three hours. Again Im not sure how I was out of line. But I can assure that after getting treated like this I will never return or recommend this restaurant to anyone in Rock Hill. I know this has nothing to do with food but the customer service was horrible.

The food and the service are pretty good, and they match the prices. The only problem my family and I have is that when the place is even half full the noise is really a problem. Its not the music but the echo of the chatter of all the people in the place. When the place is crowded it can sometimes get to where you have to shout across the table, and if you get seated in the bar area, forget it. There are televisions there tuned to the various ESPNs and a lot of drinkers. If they got some sound baffling put up in the place I think it would do some real good.

We sat at the bar as there was barely anyone in there. Youd think that you would get better service. Youd be wrong here. The female bartender spent nearly all of her time in the lobby talking to the waiter who wasnt doing anything either. The food is way over priced compared to what you get for your money. Even with that said, we were going to order something else but couldnt get service. It even took over 10 minutes to get the check after we informed her we were done. If you want a drink then ok. If youre hungry then go elsewhere.

First of all they need a bartender. I said I wanted a top shelf Margarita that cost 19.95 it was really expensive mixer also I told them I wanted the best Margarita they could make but not over 12 dollars. Then the 2 person fajitas that come with everything they were trying to charge us for sour cream and lettuce that comes with the meal so check your receipt watch what they charge you because they will f*** you 4 condiments. I just felt cheated and robbed. Good luck to all. If your thinking of going think Taco Bell

This place is awesome!!! Good food, good service, lots of parking, and you can eat outside! The authentic dished are the best and you cant get them at any other in Rock Hill. Carnitas, Charro beans and mole are out of this world and the Soupa Azteca is awesome!! omg.Im going to go get some take out now!!! My only problem is the noise but Im also an introvert. If you are sociably adept then you will love it here. It is always crowded which, to me, signifies a good restaurant.

We were among the few customers in the restaurant for Sunday lunch. It took 10-15 minutes for our waiter to take our drink orders. We then waited a while longer to actually get our drinks (two margaritas). When our waiter finally delivered our food, he completely forgot to bring us the queso that we had ordered 20-25 minutes earlier. No sense of urgency among any of the wait staff. Dont know that we will return to this restaurant.
