Whenever we go to "the Island," we always try to include a visit to Truffles Café in Sea Pines. The menu is somewhat limited, but the service and ambiance are superb. The prices are a bit high, but what restaurant on HHI isnt a bit more expensive? And unlike many restaurants there, diners can converse without having to yell over noisy tourists, probably because this café is in Sea Pines, which tends to have more locals and regulars than the places on Highway 278.

When you walk in the decor strikes an interesting contrast. Almost everything is modern, clean, and simple, but hanging from the ceiling are hundreds of woven baskets. A juxtaposition of old and new. A look at the menu will show you that this is a theme. Many items on the menu are familiar dishes with an unfamiliar twist. I started with a Caesar salad (with anchovies) and for an entree I had the pork tenderloin with green beans and sweet potato fries. It was fantastic, so good that my wife actually stole an entire piece of tenderloin, exclaiming that if she could cook pork like this wed eat it a lot more often. Her dish was the New Orleans pasta with shrimp. Fantastic, creamy without being too heavy and lots of different flavors and spices. We ordered a blondie for dessert and when it didnt come quickly enough it was on the house (we werent even upset, they just offered). Service was efficient, friendly, and competent, too. Prices were fair, $3.50 for a bottle of domestic beer. Entrees were $15-$30. Overall, you just cant go wrong, give it a shot and I think youll agree.

Great food, even on low season staff and food where amazing. Our waiter Phoebe was happy, helpful, diligent while non intrusive, and happy to be around. The food... Great! My husband had a chicken pot pie, which I had some of course. The pastry was crisp and savory, marrying the filling without becoming soggy. I had the mango salmon, wonderfully cooked with an amazing balance between the spicy peper and mango chutney like sauce. All I can say is that this is great place with great food to make amazing memories.

One of the best restaurants Ive ever been to! Our server, Brandon was absolutely fantastic! We asked a lot of him, and he handled it with a smile and a "yes sir." The food was fantastic, I ordered the crab cake, and it was the best Ive ever had! Taking all of this into consideration, it isnt the cheapest place to eat. Starters are in between $15-$20. Entrées are all over the board, but range between $23-$69. However every server and staff member seemed friendly, and the food was the best around! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We have been here many times over the years, but lately we have been very disappointed. The seared tuna was dry and had no flavor at all. The BLT Bibb salad only came with a few crumbles of blue cheese and no bacon, so I paid $14 for lettuce, four cherry tomatoes and blue cheese dressing. Overall, it seems that the food has declined and is incredibly overpriced.

I used to visit this restaurant when it was in Atlanta. I visited this location when I was on vacation and was not disappointed. I had the seared rare tuna and was surprised at how good it was and how large the portion was considering the price. I felt it was good food and a good value. Will definitely keep this place in mind when I am back in town.

We have been going to Truffles Cafe for 20+ years. The Chicken Pot Pie is the best I have ever had. I was elated to see it come back on the menu. The prices are reasonable and the food is outstanding. Always consistently good. The booths are somewhat uncomfortable, so I would suggest a table as opposed to a booth. The service is outstanding!

We happened upon this restaurant by accident; it is truly extraordinary. Everything is made from scratch daily. Excellent ambience, excellent service, excellent management. The BEST Key Lime Pie Ive had in my life (yes, better than Key West). Will always recommend & always return. Truly a Hilton Head gem.

Beautiful place and great for early dining. Had the Santa fe salad and it was uniquely great. Others had posts and was pleased. Prolly not the best place for kids as the kids menu was to expensive. Anyway. Great place and would go back without kids next time. Enjoyed the orange spice tea as well.

Atmosphere was fantastic. Felt upscale but was also not "snobby." location was great it is close to Harbor Town which was great for us. Food was out of this world. There was a mistake in my order but it was fixed before I even was aware of it which was much appreciated.

Service was incredible and the food was delicious. I personally rate service as the most important factor wherever I go and almost always the SERVICE reflects on the purchased product quality. Truffles by far exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend!

A hidden gem of a restaurant inside of Sea Pines on Lighthouse Road. Innovative and delicious food at a reasonable price. They do great take out, but have a wonderfully elegant yet casual dining room, and a nice bar with good craft beer selections.
