Though the cashier was nice and helpful( I did not get her name, though I do know she was blond), she explained the difference between the pike blend and the bold blend. Sad to say I havent really paid attention to the differences unless it was Mocha or something else. So not upset with her. The problem lies with the Barista making the orders. Lets begin with the standard expectations shall we. When an order is ready you are supposed to call out the persons name or order correct? (This from my understanding is what I have come to understand the normal operating procedure) This was not done. Not only was it not done, but when the orders came up. She did say what they were, but did not know which order belonged to which person. The barista had an attitude when three people asked if the cups that were up at the end indeed their order. Her answer, with a cynical glare, to each person was yea. Oh by the way one woman ( I think if I described her. it would make this feedback move into a different category that includes a lesson on teaching employees about diversity and respect for different cultures) had placed an order before I walked in and asked very calmly if her Pumpkin spice order was indeed done. Considering that I ordered two beverages after her and received them before her. I thought she was very calm in her demeanor and very humble the way she inquired about her order. To which the Barista gave her alook of disgust and replied rudely that she has yet to make it. Now just based off of my past experiences with Starbucks (I have been to nicer ones) and my interactions with people (I have dealt with some rude people in the past and I am going to deal with more in the future). I would have to say this has been one of the most disorganized, rude, disheartening experiences I have ever had with Starbucks ever. Not only do I feel like this is a bad reflection of the Starbucks franchise, but I believe this is also a bad reflection on the type of people that Starbucks hires in South Carolina.

Driving through over the weekend as I was taking my daughter to camp in North Carolina, we stopped at the state Capitol Building for a quick tour and to check out those protesting the Confederate flag. An old brick building, this is the most nostalgic Starbucks Ive ever visited. Clean inside and out - I even had a chance to check out the restroom facilities. Clean and no offensive odor. The staff were friendly and made my drink - a tall Flat White - perfectly. I found parking right on Gervais and had easy access in and out. This was a casual visit as I saw the Starbucks sign on the way to the Capitol and visited on the way out. The sign on the door says they open at 5 a.m. /s/ William E. The employees are friendly here and actually smile & hold a brief, polite conversation with you as they are preparing your request!! The cake pops are my favorite, especially the pink birthday cake pops and the chocolate cake pops with the crushed peppermint coating!!! Im addicted to em...I had to go back and buy the rest of them in the display case! The store is clean and pleasant to the eye. I love the downstairs sitting area and outside table & chairs...so theres adequate seating if u want to stay for a second if it doesnt get crowded during lunch. The worst part is actually the snobby and rude customers....but hey, thats not Starbucks fault! ;)

My mom and I went to Starbucks on Sunday night to relax and wind down. We were surprised they stayed open until 11 pm because most businesses close around 7-8 pm on Sundays. When we got there, the atmosphere was very welcoming. Employees are friendly and patient. There are two levels to this Starbucks, which I loved! I enjoyed reading Hamlet on the lower level, which has a nice, cozy couch. The lower level provided a quiet retreat from thoroughfare. I will most certainly be visiting this location again soon!

The staff behind the counter were singing. Or should I say trying to sing. It sounded like they were killing a small cat behind the counter. Plus, they didnt put the names on our cups so our drinks got mixed up with someone elses. Which wouldnt have been that big of a deal, except for the fact that the couple our drinks got mixed up with were really rude about the entire situation. This Starbucks is good for a quick in and out trip, but other than that I wouldnt stay long.

Great location but parking is a major problem but thats true for all of the vista. This use to be my favorite Starbucks back with the older crew (Matt, Rachel, and Jordan) this new crew is very lacking with the exception of Blair and Lauren that were the only ones that made it seem even remotely like a local coffee shop. its mainly due to its proximity to my work and the aforementioned Lauren, Blair and Alex that I come here otherwise id be at drip

A satisfying Starbucks. While passing through Columbia, I was pleased to run across this quaint little Starbucks, nestled in an equally pleasant neighborhood. The coffee was good, and I had a nice lunch on its patio. I had no problems during my dealings there, and would probably stop by again. Wonderful! My thanks goes out to all associated with this business. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service. Keep it up!

The coffee was great but the tall black guy at the register when moving my cup to the next step decided to move multiple cups and gripped mine with his greasy ass finger inside my cup! I watched him wipe his sweaty face and then stick his finger inside my cup where my coffee was about to be! That is 100% unacceptable and not sanitary! I hope management will correct this issue before my next visit!

I stop on my way to work in the mornings and they are very efficient. One day when I got to work my cup was only about half way filled and I call and spoke to Kristen the manager. She said she wanted to take care of it next time I came in. No one is perfect but the people at this shop work well together and take care of their customers and I will continue to return!!

Starbucks is Starbucks no matter where you go. This one has entrances from Main street just off the square and also coming in from the Hyatt that it is attached to. Its pretty quiet and felt a little under staffed but they got our orders out quickly and correctly . Stop in after getting some ice cream at one of the 5 ice cream places on main street.

Great place to study. There are a lot of seats: one huge table for groups, nooks and crannies, and a little wall bar to spread - out on. Feels like you can hide, not as open or small as the Starbucks at 5 points. Most of the staff is good and helpful. They are always very busy, though, so be prepared to wait unless you catch them at a lull.

This place is so insanely crowded that I cant give it more than three stars. It is also haunted by laptoppers who take up whole tables for their nerding. Coffee is Starbucks coffee so of you like that, go for it. A guy who worked on a coffee farm in Costa Rica once told me Starbucks coffee isnt great so I dont drink it.
