My family has been going to Hope Street Pizza since they opened. I love their food. Ive never had a bad meal there. It is a family restaurant - for families and run by a family. As a regular, there is a real feeling of being part of the family whenever we go in. Most of the employees have been there for years. It is a Greek pizza joint which is definitely different from an Italian pizza joint. I hope Im not revealing a trade secret but they use a combination of cheeses on their pizzas that includes some cheddar and it really is great. Im not a big fan of feta but theirs is awesome. Their salads have been a fantastic mesculun-style incredibly fresh mix since way before that became the fashion. Their gyro and slouvaki are yummy. The marinara sauce on their pasta dishes is really good and their calamari is just right. Sometimes they have specials that arent on the menu and they are always great. Seriously, the best filet mignon Ive ever had have be there. One of the things I love most about HSP, is that it evolves over time (even as the seasons change). They try out new things on the menu, they change up the decor, they bring in different beer and wine. What can I say? I love the place. We go there for family get-togethers. We bring people there from out of town. And the prices, especially in light of the quality of the food, are very reasonable. For a dine-in pizza place, there is no better place than Hope Street Pizza in Providence, RI.

What?! I dont know whether previous reviewers have no taste buds, have never eaten decent food, or what, but the service and the food here was downright awful. I (from out of town) came in with a local friend expecting a relaxing lunch, only to have my eardrums assaulted by the owners drunken, relentless, audacious, vuvuzela-blowing. Personally, I dont care if youre the pope, but you wont ruin my meal with your World Cup shenanigans. My friend and I walked out, but was convinced to at least dine al-fresco, because I thought I could give the food a shot. The pizza was small for the $8 price tag (about an inch bigger than a Celeste pizza for one) and GREASY GREASY GREASY! The waitress wasnt even courteous with her apology that ruined out meal. It was like WE had inconvenienced HER because we ordered and we couldnt stand to listen to this stupid noisemaker, just because he was "the restaurants owner." Well, learn to have a little respect for your customers, because some people want to relax and enjoy their food, and not have their ears accosted with bullshit noise.

I liked this place. The pizzas are really good and tasty. Hope Street Pizza and Greek Pizza has a soft crest because of the tomato, but they taste great! I suggest Greek pizza between them. The place is not fancy or even cozy, although the bar has nice seats. The servers are okay, and if you dont want anything they dont bother themselves. The manager is a really nice and happy guy whom come and ask about the food. He obviously cares about your comments.

One of my favorite places on the east side. Stella on tap, large TVs to watch any game, and excellent food. The staff is great and really gives it a good family atmosphere. I recommend the hope street pizza or the chicken parm dinner. The baked ziti is pretty good too, but add a chicken breast to it.

Cozy old-fashioned Greek pizza parlor with hot sandwiches, salads, gyros and the whole family working from the kitchen to the front of the house. Boisterous and fun.

Popped in here twice during my stay in Providence. First visit was just for a drink, second time we ate. Both times were pleasant and the food was good.
