Well for one the service was very good that was the very best thing about this Restaurant. Now to the food I had the chicken marsala it was ok at best but i was very disappointed in the amount it was not enough at all. I had to order a pizza to fill me up. But that was a mistake because the pizza wasnt good at all it was far to chessy the cheese was veey overwhelming the best thing about the pizza was the crust it was so bad i ate a couple slices and let them toss the rest. My girlfriend whom is Italian had the gnocchi she was also very unsatisfied with her meal so all in all we paid about 80.00 for food neither one of us finish. Its safe to say we wont be back. If your looking for authentic Italian this isnt the place.

I have been going to Trieste since I was a kid and still love it to this day. There was a time when the food was not a great a it was but boy how things have changed. The Spicy Maryland Crab Soup is amazing and is one of my favorite soups around and I have traveled all over the world. Anything with Marinara is a win in my book. I dont know what it is about the marinara but it has that little zing that you expect. My friends tried the Rosa sauce and were also raving about it as well. Please dont change anything unless it is something new :-). It is so nice going back to a place where I know I will get a great meal. My parents who now live in FL came for a visit and were so happy I took them to Trieste.

We visited Trieste in November of 2012 and were not impressed. Based on the reviews, we were excited for excellent traditional American Italian food. What was server was sub-par cooking. My spaghetti (mushy) and my daughters fettuccine alfredo (pasta was overcooked; sauce was overpowered with shallots) were not cooked right; my neighbors had the chicken parm with slightly burned cutlets server over mushy pasta. If this is the type of Italian food you are used to, its probably pretty decent. If you are from Northern NJ, Id recommend trying your luck elsewhere as there has to be better I have no idea how to justify the Zagat 27 for food.

I was here for a graduation. The food was delicious. The staff was friendly and fun. The menu was huge. The prices were reasonable. We came in with a party of nine with couple of picky eaters and everyone left happy. This place is well ran from top to bottom but if I had to highlight one thing other than how good the food tasted it would be the selection. I had to choose from several things that looked good. I get the feeling I would eat here a lot if I didnt live halfway across the country. We couldnt have made a better choice.

After receiving sub-par service at a chain restaurant during my stay in Philadelphia, I decided to find a place where the locals go. I happened onto this place by chance as I was scanning the map of the area. I am glad I did. The owner was very nice and even convinced me to stay and eat versus taking food back to my hotel. Very glad I did. The service was nice and the food was equally pleasing. When I am back in Philly I will definitely be returning here for a good classic Italian meal.

I get to travel all over the country and try many different restaurants from all over the place. While the service was great the food was average and nothing that really wowed me. The restaurant itself feels stale and very dated. The outside of the restaurant speaks a similar story. The desert compared to many other Italian restaurant dessert portions are extremely small. I ordered the rum cake and it was a half inch thin, it can be compared to about the size of a slice of bread.

Trieste is hands down my favorite Italian restaurant. The food is delicious, the staff is nice and quick, Im a huge fan of the atmosphere, and the owners are lovely as well. I think the prices are fair considering the portions you receive. I suggest ordering the homemade gnocchi in rosa sauce, my favorite!

Overrated....place is dated, and barely held together by old decor. Creamy white sauce was too thick....place needs an upgrade all around. Staff is nice and attentive, but food left much to be desired. Flies were buzzing around.... disappointed with the food and atmosphere.

Best Family Owned Restaurant around. This was my favorite place to eat growing up and still is. My favorite dish is anything with the marina sauce yummy. The secret family sauce will make you crave going there once you have tasted it. I always get a side to go.

My hubby and I have been going to the Trieste for almost 25 years. I find the staff friendly and competent. The food is good and there is plenty! Their tiramisu is so good it was the first soft food I had after throat surgery.

The food was fresh and delicious, generous portions, very good and super friendly service, all in a nice family run business. I travel a lot on business and its nice to find such a gem while on the road.

Billed as classic Italian. Service was friendly and adequate. Food was poor. Im no goomba but Ive had plenty of good Italian food in Baltimore and even in York Co. PA. This joint is a pretender

The best Sunday Gravy Ive ever eaten in my life. Ive had lots of great Italian food, but this was almost the best (the absolute best was in Salt Lake City). Great spumoni, too. Fantastic!

Local. Cozy. Friendly. Delicious. As a Delco local (although currently displaced elsewhere and fer the last 20 years), it belongs here for as long as it can manage.

Great food. Used to work here in the kitchen. I recommend the baked manicotti with rosa sauce. Best meal or also the lasagna with meat sauce.

I havent been in two decades and wanted to redeem them. Service took too long and wasnt even busy. Salad looked bad and food took an hour.
