You will have to try out this historical place!! While this charming place has all of the ambience of the times past, their up to date menu, has an amazing variety for whatever you palate desires. While famous for their Lobster bisque and the most delicious buffalo wings, the menu also still offers som great old times favorites! You have the option of dining in the quaint restaurant section or in the cozy bar area complete with two fire places For those, with a taste for beer, they have rotating imported and local craft beers. This is one of those places that if youre a local, you get treaded as "where everyone knows your name" but if this is your first time here, you are welcomed with open arms! And by the end of the evening, they probably do now your name!! Maybe, Im a bit bias about this place, because I am one of those. were they "do" know my name! :o) There are not many places like this left!

Great staff, great food, great drinks. Love the history of the Inn and the stories from the locals at the bar. I am need to update my review. Everything for the most part has been a great experience. Staff and food are still great. But my experience last night was a complete downer. We stopped by the bar and had several drinks. Our bar tender great as always. We placed an order for snacks one being a basket of cheese fries. The basket was to be a very large basket with cheese whiz. When it came out it was 75 percent smaller at the same price. I thought it was a joke. But it wasnt. I was told that this is the new size. Very big disappointment. We will be passing this info on to my friends. We are here one to three times a week. I will be cutting back on how often I go here from now on.

My boyfriend and have dined many times at barnsboro inn and have always enjoyed the food, the staff and the atmosphere..until this past Saturday...we rode on the motorcycle to enjoy a dinner and drink on the patio..we sat at the bar and ordered drinks and our drinks were served...we were then told we could not stay because my boyfriend had a sleeveless shirt on...number one we should have been told that before we even sat...number two it was 90 degrees and we rode a motorcycle and we sitting on the patio not inside the restaurant...i feel this was very rude and embarrassing...we were dressed neatly and clean...there should not have been an issue..women wear tank tops and undressed and Im sure they arent turned away..we wont be back...

We came for the buck-a-shuck night, and the oysters were delicious and perfectly shucked, no bits of shell in them. The only thing Id say to watch out for is if you order the burger. If you normally like tomato/onion on your burger, expect to be charged 75 cents for a small slice of tomato and another 50 cents for an even smaller sliver of onion. These extra charges were not listed on the menu and our server, who, although friendly and attentive, never mentioned this when he asked if I wanted the lettuce tomato and onion. Other than that we liked the corn bread poppers a lot and will most likely be going back for the oysters but will probably not be ordering any tomato or onions with any future burgers.

Been going there for years and always had a good meal. Love the cozy atmosphere. Service was excellent, food terrible. Move to Florida 10 years ago and was looking forward to some good crab imperial while visiting. Crab imperial is supposed to be wet with a white sauce. This was crab meat put in a casserole dish and broiled. The crab was dried out and tasteless. Three members of the party had the imperial and were disappointed. Another the crab cakes and said the same thing. Another the stuffed flounder with crab, same thing. All three couples said they will not return. Maybe the chef should go to the Franklinville Inn and see how to make good crab imperial.

We recently began to frequent the Inn again. The food is superb and the menu has something for everyone. We cannot say enough about the service - professional, friendly, fast - just a pleasure. The atmosphere is pleasant, low lighting, quaint. We never feel pushed to eat and leave; its family-friendly but dont feel like you cant sit outside or at the bar for a more grown-up experience! Be sure to reserve a seat on Tuesdays for the half-price burgers, its a deal worth experiencing. It was so nice to interact with the owner who is simply down to earth and wonderful.

We didnt go away for 4th of July, so decided to stop at Barnsboro Inn. Like the new rewards program. We received a free appetizer for dinner, stuffed oysters. They were very good. I also had my raw clams; they were clean not like some places where they are sandy. I did order the chicken salad and the waitress brought me the wrap, but she politely corrected my order. My husband had filet mignon , which was perfectly cooked. Really enjoyed my Lemon Drop Martini. Havent been here as often as usual, but hope to get there more often in the future.

Went on an off week night. Food was good. Split some calamari with a friend and a steak dinner. The place has been around for a very long time i believe revolutionary. As expected it has a very rustic theme but i enjoy that type of thing. Did not try the bar connected only dining area. I requested Glennlivit 15 but they only had the standard 12 which is fine but thought i would mention it for the Whisky drinkers out there. All in all had a very good time. Wait staff was very friendly.

Weve periodically visit Barnsboro Inn and generally we had a nice experience. Entrees were delicious however with this recent visit some side items that were plated were cold (rice pilaf). Generally service was very good however this time our server forgot my lobster bisque order and it was too late to say or do anything as entrees came out. This restaurant could go from good to very good or excellent if they paid more attention to details.

On April 12th, 2016 we had a wonderful dinner here. My girlfriend and I were visiting from Texas to see my family. Our waitress was Angie and she was very polite and professional, and all the food was delicious! I had made a note in my phone to leave a great review after we got back to Texas, and I never got around to it. Anyway, Angie was excellent and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal with a cozy environment!

Barnsboro Inn suffers from not knowing what it wants to be. I went in there 15 years ago and it tried to be upscale, but lately it has a "dive bar" section and a decent dining area. The food was decent (but it is pub food, make no mistakes) and the servers were really nice. I often overlook Barnesboro Inn, but its pretty good. They just need to let go of the remains of their upscale image and play towards the masses!

Loved this place! We went on a Sunday night and sat outside. The live music was very entertaining and not too loud, and the service was great. We got our food very quickly and it was all delicious. The cajun calamari appetizer was just spicy enough and the spinach salad was fantastic. I found the prices pretty comparable to other bar & grills. I would definitely go back.
