My boyfriend and I decided to go to the Great American Pub in Phoenixville for some apps and drinks for my birthday. We went to the inside bar and sat down. A women bartender gave us a warm greeting and asked what we would like. We order drinks and some apps (dumplings and the chicken quesadilla). Both of which were great for the price, it was happy hour. We were talking and the bartender heard it was my birthday and immediately wished me Happy Birthday and offered a free drink. That was an unexpected treat! After a bit we decided to go outside since it was such a nice day and I was having a few friends come out to meet me for Birthday Drinks. We sat at the outside lounge area near the fountain. BTW: the outside area is a great area to hang with friends; it’s just fantastic and fun. As soon as we sat down a waitress came over to ask us what we would like. At this point we had drinks but we told her that we will be having a few more friends join us and asked her if she would mind if we pulled some of the furniture over to make our area bigger. She was so nice and said “absolutely, not a problem”. As soon as some friends arrived our waitress ran over to see if we need anything. Before you know it we had about 15 friends join us. I thought we would be overwhelming to the waitress but she was right on top it and even had a big smile on her face. She didn’t seem to mind at all. The food was 5 stars and so was all the service we received. Keep up the great work, we will be back!!! p.s. They have a smoker that they use to cook some of the items on the menu. So the next time I go back I will be ordering one of their slow roasted sandwiches, which look awesome.

Food and atmosphere are great, but the service was awful. Nobody greeted us or even told us where to sit when we walked in, our waitress never gave us her name (I found it on the receipt), brought us water and just asked did you want other drinks, so we said can we actually have some menus? Checked on us maybe twice in passing, had to call over for service like drink fill ups and the check. Not the best experience

We chose the pub for our daughters bridal shower...couldnt be more satisfied with our decision...the staff helped us carry all our boxes, baskets, balloons, etc to the second floor...and a special thank you to meghan, our personal bartender...she is FABULOUS...i highly recommend and cant wait to go back for a leisurely dinner...thanks again...

Food is good. They smoke some meat that is good. Cherry or apple wood, but not sure. Good variety on the menu. Friend had a tomato pie that was large. Cool outdoor area with unique seating areas. Downfall is they dont serve alcohol outdoors after 10. Kinda strange. Id go back again.

Great outdoor seating. This is a great place to eat outdoors when weather is permitting. The beer selection is limited, but they have some decent choices. The food is above average. They smoke their own brisket on site and it is indeed tasty. The wait staff is friendly and attentive

Great outdoor seating area. I like this locations menu better than the Conshohocken location. My only complaint was we ordered their "pretzel bites" as an appetizer, but they were definitely not pretzels. They were more like garlic knots. Still tasty, but mislabeled.

The staff was great - top notch bar tenders but the steak looked and tasted like they bought it on sale for $1.99/pound. The whole meal was very, very bland tasting. This was our second time there and same experience the first time. Go for drinks and apps only!

The food is OK. This is the first time we ate inside. As a comparison, we prefer Iron Hill down the street. Where this place shines is in the summer months. The outdoor swing tables are great! Love sitting there with a beer and family, enjoying the weather.

Was not a fan of the food. Tasted frozen and microwaved. Atmosphere is AWESOME! Sat outside and if we were just out for drinks, would have been a 5 star review. If you eat first, perfect place to end up, meet up with some friends and hang out.

Great beer, great scotch. Delicious vegan options - try the chocolate shake. Outside seating is a plus. A nice, quiet place where you can have a conversation and hear eachother, but not dull or sleepy. One of my favorite bars in the area.

Very good food. A little inconsistent in serving sizes from one entree to the next but the food, service, and atmosphere here are excellent. Really awesome, modern-style outdoor seating also available. Definitely check it out.

Iove the GAP! Delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and plenty of varied outdoor seeing make this a prime spot. The nearness to the canal along with the outdoor seating make it a perfect place to grab lunch after a kayak trip!

Come here in the Spring and Summer. This place is killing it with the outdoor bar and seating. This is my spot to come to when I want to relax with some friends and have some drinks. Food is decent but could be better.

Great American is great during the warmer season when the outside patio is open. The food I decent, standard bar fare, and they have a nice selection of beer on draft. I have never had a bad experience here

We had my sons rehearsal dinner here last October. The food was great and the service was exceptional. There were 18 in our party and they couldnt have done a nicer job!!!!!!!! A totally enjoyable evening!

Big, spacious, lots of bars and places to hang out. Outdoor seating is neat (covered benches that roll on a track - you have to see it to know). Service is decent, and food is tasty with good variety.

Cute outdoor seating in little covered swings that look like carriages. Great ambiance as the sun goes down and they turn on the fire tubes or whatever theyre called. Delicious apps.

Great American Pub is one of my favorite places in Phoenixville. They did a beautiful job with updating the Columbia Hotel. The outdoor seating and back bar were a great addition.
