I am an Indian and I know good Indian food, but this is a far cry from what good food should taste like. It was way too oily, over priced, very low quantities and missing spices to give it the real taste. Baingan bharta was not charred enough and tasted raw. There were only 3 koftas in the gravy. Tandoori roti did not taste very much like one. Paneer tikka was not marinated properly and was not cooked/grilled. It was all white and bland from inside. There was not one dish that was good and we ordered two appetizers, 3 veg and 1 non veg(lamb) dish. Sorry banjara, you need to up your game and not fool people by the decor you have in there

My husband and I enjoyed Banjaras limited menu for Chestnut Hills Restaurant Week. This little BYOB Indian bistro is tucked away in a commercial building right on Germantown Ave, so eating there felt like we were on the far side of town (which we loved; it felt more private). We enjoyed sampling one anothers goan paella and fish and shrimp kasaundi. Although we thought we were full by the end of the second course, the apple jalabi with custard was too good to pass up. Our waiters were charmingly attentive; the type that ensures a perpetually full water glass but are never in your face.

Excellent Indian food (and were very picky!)! We are so thrilled that Banhara is here! (We tried Biryani Bowl on Willow Grove Ave. and were deeply disappointed.) Highly recommend the chicken Tikka and Palak Paneer. We are slowly making our way through the menu. Navratan korma was exceptional! They also had a special blue cheese naan during one of our visits that was out of this world. Weve gone for both lunch and dinner and the menu is always consistently good.

Was a big fan of this place since it opened. This Sunday the crew had their phone off the hook, so drove to order. Little interest in taking my order. Two employees present and staff rolling in while I awaited my order. See how it goes. Hopefully the great staff that has served us well over the past year isnt losing out to the Sunday crew. Likely hit Tiffin for the next few months. Candid feedback is support of keeping a great local eatery in business.

Excellent, well-prepared Indian food served by a friendly and professional staff in a handsome, comfortable setting. The biryani is very delicious, but I have never been disappointed with any selection. Highly recommended.

Excellent Indian food overall, with perfect Naan, and lamb curries with generous portions of lamb (many other places skimp on the lamb)! This place has earned its spot as one of our favorites.

Food was good. Ambiance was good (a little too dark) . However service was hit and miss for a big group. We were a group of 10 and the waiter(s) kept confusing our orders. Parking available.

The food was really good, but the delivery guy was pretty rude. I like their food, but am unsure if I should order again.

Shan is the sweetest weiter, the food is excellent, fresh and for Indian food surprisingly light.
