Good beer. Bad hostess. Had 2 beers at the bar which were pretty good with a friend. We had 4 more friends join us so we moved to an open 6 top by the bar. The hostess immediately came over and told us there was a 20 minute wait for a table and we could not sit there. There were 8 open tables with a total of 50 open seats when we were told this. Undaunted, i put my name in for a table for 6. 10 minutes later, with 0 additional people entering the bar, we were offered a table in a remite corner of the dining room. Noone wanted to go to the back corner of this side room where no other people where at. I informed the hostess we would not be sitting there and would be leaving. She then offered the still open table we tried to sit in earlier. Everyone was pretty put off by her attitude attempt to put us in a corner so we left and went to Eulogy Tavern across the street. Great service and people at Eulogy right across from this place. Yards brewery also much friendlier. Stay away from here if u can, lots of great places with much nicer people all over.

Didnt have any beer but I had a great meal! The biggest fried chicken sandwich youll ever see smothered in tasty mustard and topped with fried pickles. The pretzel bites appetizer is crazy good with the house made cheese sauce and mustard. Dessert was also great with a chocolate lava cake. My once criticism would be that the service was somewhat lacking. Our server was friendly, just infrequent in her visits which was surprising since we were one of three tables late on a Sunday night. I give them a pass since it was the night Pope Francis left Philly; Im sure they had minimal staffing on hand.

Ive been to 2SB many times before and had a good time. Tonight, a waiter spilled an entire cup of sauce onto my friend - ruining his shirt. We were met with a glass of club soda and response that we can come back to the restaurant with a dry cleaning receipt. When confronting the Manager Joe about it, we were greeted with a very unprofessional response - youre telling me how to do my job. Totally left a sour taste in my mouth. I will never be back to this establishment.

Had a great beer and delicious nachos as a break from my 6 hours of walking around the city. Was very impressed with what I was tasting. But...The bathroom situation is weird AF. Theres a bunch of individual stalls with sinks and everyone just waits in line for a stall to open up. While somewhat weird, the really odd part is their decision to go with frosted glass. I really dont like seeing the shadows of people as they move about in their stall.

Came here with a large private party (350 people at the convention, easily 150+ at the reception at 2nd story). The beer is non-offensive but tasty, and all craft. The servers are very friendly- even knowing that we were paid for and not tipping then directly. The hot wings are quite spicy. I know spicy food, and theyre not spicy by suicide wing standards but spicy by hot wings. The other apps I had were quite good too.

Shame. Good beer and good food...but terrible service. Waited 20 minutes for drinks after being seated, and an hour for food. Waitress didnt smile until she handed me the check. Also, if youre going to have just 4 "craft cocktails" on your menu, make sure the bartender knows how to make them. Ordered a Moscow mule, got vodka and lime juice in a Collins glass that was undrinkable. I wont be back.

This place was comfortable, easy to find, and not very crowded. The food selection was plentiful, and I decided on the Adult Grilled Cheese (which I always said I would never do). In summary, it was a great decision. The food was amazing. But the main item here is the craft beer. Good variety of styles and each one that I tried tasted great. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting.

2nd Story Brewing was EXCELLENT!!!! I was able to call ahead and reserve a table for my large group on a busy Friday night, that was really great. They have delicious beers, and you can get a beer flight to try the flavors. Their food is delicious!!!! We celebrated 3 of my friends birthdays here. Excellent place to gather a large group of friends or family. 10/10 would go again.

Didnt realize the brewery was only open for a week when I went. The beers were good, the Adsultim IPA was delicious. My shrimp BLT was good as well. There was a band about to go on as I left. Three TVs at the bar, I was able to watch the football game. The servers were nice and ready to help you. I would definitely go back!

Much better vibe than when it was Triumph. Looks like they removed some seating to make it feel less cramped, and removed some of the pretentious vibe. The beer is also a significant upgrade. Enjoyed the pilsner and kolsch as light refreshing summer beers, and look forward to trying what they come up with in the future.

This location cant seem to catch a break but another good (better than the previous!) Microbrewery opened here with plenty of room and an improved menu. The beer is very good and there is usually plenty of room to grab a beer... more open room then a place at this location and this good of beer should have!

Food is reasonably priced, staff was nice and very approachable. Our waitress joked around with us and even picked up on a Simpsons reference one of our party and responded in kind. Beer selection was really good. Their flights were a little confusing but as long as the beers are good. Im in.

We showed up with a wedding party of 50 people and the bride was treated like a monster for bringing in a large group of people to an empty bar. Then during the Kentucky Derby they refused to put on the sound for the reason people were drinking at a bar. Keep walking to another bar.

So glad we found you for lunch yesterday before heading to the Seaport! YUM. Loved the fig and pear salad and pea soup. Husband enjoyed the shrimp BLT on toast rounds. Asked for more bread with the pretzel and fondue and they brought us a load. Good beers. Will be back!

Second story has a rotating selection of delicious brews. In addition they have a great food menu that pairs well with the beer. The laid back atmosphere and unisex restrooms make this a great spot downtown to catch lunch or happy hour with coworkers or some friends.

Excellent beer, really cool atmosphere, and delicious food. Had the arancini as an app and it was great. Burgers taste like they are fresh off the grill. Service was also excellent with a very attentive waiter. I cannot fine any reason to give any less than 5 stars.

John had been nothing less than amazing the entire time we have been at the bar. Any question we might have, any request he has been there. Anyone looking to come here should and hope that John is their bartender because he is wonderful!
