Whats good: The breakfast is actually pretty darn good and can be ordered any time of day. Lunch is okay if you stick to burgers and fries. What needs improvement: I would recommend staying away from dinner as a lot of the food is either canned or pre-prepared. They usually have a buffet most of the time and its usually a pretty good value to get food in your stomach, but low quality food. Issues they could work on: -Use fresh in-season vegetables when available. Ill pay a few dollars extra. -The decor is also an issue, I dont mine tables with benches with tears on them, stuff happens. What does turn people off though are the ceiling tiles that look like they havent been cleaned in 20 years. This makes the place feel dirty. -The concrete out front also is in need of repair (lots of cracks and big chunks missing). Ive been going to this place since my family moved to Oxford, PA back in 2012 and pride myself on supporting local businesses. Ill continue to go for breakfast, but will take my family elsewhere for dinner.

I started going to the Post house back when it was an active bus stop, when my grandparents were still alive and living in Oxford. I can remember driving up there for dinner when the only thing they ever had was hamburger steak with brown gravy back in the early 70s. I fell out of touch until relatively recently when we went up to meet a ham radio group that meets for breakfast once a month. since then weve taken the hour drive from Wilmington a couple of times for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast bar is good but a little pricey for what they offer but the salad bar for lunch is the best deal in town, or anywhere around that Ive found. If we are passing by on Rt 1 around meal time, we always stop in.

The owner has been spending $ trying to fix things up, hes done a lot and it shows. However, we used to eat breakfast here often. Lately they been messing up our breakfast. Eggs OE (over easy) does not mean raw and uncooked, as in liquid whites that can be poured off! With HF (home fries) does not mean 8" in diameter 2" high and hard so they crunch! Buttered toast does not mean a little bit of butter in the center only. We will stay away for a while and try them again after a couple months - repeat until we give up.

I have been eating at the Post House on a regular basis for over 15 years now. They have a large selection of entrees, reasonably priced and the service is fast & friendly. Since Ive been here awhile, Ive learned which menu items are pretty good and which ones to stay away from. Overall, its not too hard to find something to satisfy your hunger. At any rate, if youre looking for 5-star cuisine at a local restaurant, you aint too bright, is ya?

I finish every meal every where I go but I didnt finish my meal here. I ordered the crab cakes and they were okay at best. The sides were completely flavorless. Fried mushrooms and mashed potatoes were some of the worst Ive had. They reminded me of a middle school lunch line. The area doesnt have much so next time I will just drive further from it for something decent

Nice restaurant. The staff was friendly, the food was good, the prices were fair. My brother did not like his burger, however my sister liked her cheesesteak, another sister liked her chicken fingers, the pancakes were delicious, we liked the mozzarella sticks, and the fries were wonderful! Overall, a great experience!

I Love The Post House, My fiancee Matthew and I come here ALL the time... We Love it!!! The food is delicious, reasonably priced and the portions are very big. The service is friendly and welcoming and even when its crowded you dont have to wait long for service. I highly recommend The Post House to everyone.

The breakfast buffet has everything you could ask for and is very good. The service is friendly and fast. Ive stopped in for take out a few times and everything was excellent. The decor is very old but I am one who loves the old mom and pop places over chain restaurants... this is a great, homey place!!

Good Local Dinner, Friendly Staff, Daily Specials, Good Food. Great Breakfast, try the Scrapple Omelet the best around! While not Retro, it is a Modern Restaurant but you can still sit at the spacious wrap around counter and enjoy a delicious meal but there are plenty of booths & tables as well.

I had the worst cup of coffee in my life at the Post House. The breakfast sandwich was okay, but nothing special. I dont recommend the Post House to out-of-towners looking for "local flavor."
