I found everyone working there -the hostess, the waitress, and the cashier to be very pleasant. No complaints there. What I had a problem with was the food. Worst breakfast ever. My husband wanted an omelet. There are NO omelets on the 3 page menu. He doesnt like grits or gravy and every egg dish came with them. So he ordered a breakfast sandwich with hash brown casserole. The sandwich came with tomatoes and mayo on it. Huh? No meat. The hash brown casserole was like mush. Hash browns are supposed to be crispy and buttery. Nope. This looked more like a rice casserole. Honestly, the Egg McMuffin is a better sandwich. I had scrambled eggs, grits and biscuits. I cannot believe the eggs were fresh. They reminded me of the powered scrambled eggs I got in my college dining hall. The grits were unseasoned (ok, maybe the seniors demanded that), full of lumps and not creamy at all. They tasted like they were made with water, not milk. They had no butter taste at all. And for the money, I expected a bit of a larger portion - Id say they gave me 1/3 cup grits. The biscuits were not bad, ironically a tad salty. We just sat there, wondering what is so special about this place. I dont get it. But the place was packed. There are so many better places to get breakfast in Shrewsbury. Ill never be back.

Have nothing bad to say about the food. It was the service... terrible! Waitress should write orders down, seriously she had to make 4 trips. If she didnt forget it, she would bring the wrong thing then she charged us for something that came with the dinner and then stopped by our table several times to ask us if everything was ok even after we finished eating. She definitely needs more training. Didnt know the menu or what comes with what dish. Management should not be so quick in putting someone out on the floor. This does a disservice to her and her customers. She needs to build more confidence in herself. Management she is a reflection of you. Help her not hurt her. She wont get any tips worth surviving on, get discouraged and then quit.

This was the worst restaurant it gave cracked barrel a bad name ad I known how tremendously wonderful the other cracker Barrel are I would have never returned. The waitress came to our table only once , the food took 1 hour to come out, we had to grab bus boys other waitress to handle our drink refills ask for bread and when I told the waitress how very sad I was about this experience mostly for my kids who were starving she started to argue with me get offensive so if you can avoid this restaurant I would definitely drive a future distance then be back at this one ever

I was very disappointed with my dinner last night. I ordered the roast beef platter which is usually delicious. It usually consists of a nice slice of roast beef, my platter last night was a pile of shredded beef that was dry and tasteless. I also ordered a bowl of potato soup which was good but missing the croutons that are delicious on top of the soup. I understand that they run out of things as the day goes on, but they could give you the option to choose something else if you are not going to be served what you ordered.

Somehow served unsalted beans. I order this dish every time, but when asked politely they said that salt is not added to the dish. I imagine someone added too much water to boil and poured the excess off. The greens were also bland with no noticeable acidity (i.e. vinegar) - some Cracker Barrels add it directly and the rest give a little vial beside the dish. They were as polite as could be and didnt charge for the dish but their cooks need to shape up to match other Cracker Barrels.

This location is by far the worst Ive been to. Their cooks cant seem to get a medium rare steak right. They always always always overcook it. They have a few good waitstaff, but the good ones usually work during the day. Theyre night time waitstaff is horrible. They dont get orders right, they take forever to get refills and they push the bill on you as soon as you get your entree. Ill just drive up to York if I want Cracker Barrel from now on.

My wife had leftover food held by cashier while she shopped in your store. When she arrived home she noticed the food was not in her bag. She called and asked for the manager and explained what happened to the manager. When my wife asked to be compensated in some way the manager refused compensation and stated "if I I did it for you I would be doing it all the time". This is unacceptable and should be noted.

We usually eat at two CBs in Missouri a few Sundays a month. The Tiffany Springs location (near the KC airport is our usual haunt and its usually pretty good...our occasional CB is Columbia, MO and it is usually below average.) THIS CB in New Freedom was GREAT! The service was excellent, the food came out hot and fast and my husbands BLT was packed with goodies (That NEVER happens at other CBs)!

This Cracker Barrel is much like any other Cracker Barrel. The only reason I posted four stars (vice five) was due to the wait. Ive been to Cracker Barrels with long lines before this time, and it always went fast. This particular restaurant could benefit from some efficiency training. Overall, however, the food was great, the wait staff was kind, and the prices were very reasonable.

We stopped here every time we come through Pennsylvania. Staff is always Pleasant very nice atmosphere they get you in and out food is always good. We just stop in for dinner on August 23rd 2017 around 6:30 p.m. and our waitress Robin C w was nice and cheerful and polite our food came out quick and correct

They were out of a few sides. My wife ordered the steak and the Chef doesnt know his temps. Medium does not = raw. Then I was served half my meal and had to wait 5 to 10 mins for the other half. Not to mention it was 32 degrees. Had to get a blanket for my 3yr daughter in the middle of August. ugh... wont go back.

Love their customer service and hospitality. One of their servers saw my disappointment when they discontinued my favorite pancake/french toast topping and gave me a fabulous idea. They sell the topping in their store, so I buy a jar and they take it back in the kitchen to warm it up and put on my breakfast.

Was 9 minutes late opening this morning. Okay, not a big deal except when the manager opened up he didnt even apologize. Didnt say a word about inconveniencing his customers. Decided to go to the next Cracker Barrel instead (only 12 minutes up the road) Hopefully theyre open as I love their pancakes.

Food was very bland. Had to put heavy amounts of pepper and salt just to get a decent taste. Service was ok, but our server seemed to forget about us. I have had great experiences at other cracker barrels, but this one seems to be on the low end.
