I drive all the way from West Chester PA to come to this restaurant. The Mexican food is the best Ive had in both my area and Delaware. We go so frequently in fact the waiters know my girlfriend and I when they see us. I usually get the appetizer sampler as a meal but almost never been disappointed with anything I ordered. Only complaint is sometimes the service is a bit lacking, but all in all great place to check out.

HORRIBLE!!!! I ordered Taquitos as an appatizer, and it was burnt. The underside was pure black, it tasted worse then burnt toast. I also ordered a Carne Burrito and they were disgusting. The pork inside the burrito was also burnt. How do you burn the pork- (it was black crunchy pieces of pork in the burrito). The only good thing about my experience is it came with free chips. NOT GOOD!

Have never left not FULLy satisfied! My attempt to try a different item on the menu each time I go is always thwarted because I want to order the item I had the last time I was there, cause it was that good! This is the go to Mexican dinner place when I come into the area to visit my girlfriend, who is a sure bet to order the delicious chimichanga each time.

Had the Shrimp Ceviche and Camarones a la Diabla. A little milder than I used to being from South Texas. Both were very good even if I did add a little heat at the table. Service was good. Not the best in the nation, but very good for the area if you are looking for Mexican. Prices were higher that Im used to, then again, Mexican food is cheap in Texas.

We ordered the homemade guacamole--she let us taste and we asked for more heat. It had barely any tomatoes and no heat and way too.much salt. Our meals were very good, but the service is horrible. We told out waiter about the guacamole and didnt see him again until we sat for 15 minutes after we were done our meal. He did take it off our check.

Definitely the best Mexican food Ive had on this coast! The chiles poblanos were amazing, stuffed with potatoes and cheese and slathered in this delicious red sauce. The rice was well-seasoned, and the refried beans were the perfect consistency. Their service staff is friendly and attentive and very kind to small children.

We ordered guacamole and that was delicious. There was cilantro in it that was the whole cilantro sprig, little hard to chew. The entree was a quesadilla with shredded chicken. One of the bites into the quesadilla was hard and I pulled out a bone from my quesadilla. Overall it was fine, just could have been better.

While maybe a bit too flamboyant in its decor, they definitely depict a South American style. The food itself is also top notch, have eaten several times getting a variety of things from burritos, taco, salads and friends eating others, no ones ever had a single complaint when we went and its always been delicious

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Waited almost 20 minutest to place order. 2nd round Drinks were ordered, but never delivered. Server came back only once in 30 minutes and we waited for another 15 minutes for bill. Only saving point was the food was good. However service was so BAD, we will never return.

Had dinner with friends on 06-30-16. Excellent food and service. The Thursday night Mariachis add to the festive nature of this good Mexican restaurant. Special thanks to Manager, Wilmer, and Waitress, Monica, for excellent service. I will be back.

I just returned to La Tolteca for the first time in 15 years and it was worth the trip. Their lunch specials provide great food for a great price. The portions are large and the service is fast. perfect for a lunch break away from the office.

I cant even rate the food, because I cant forget about the roach crawling across our table or the other roach stuck in the cheese on my sons cheeseburger!!! YUCK!!! This place is downright NASTY!!! I will never go back!!!
