Scoops Ice Cream & Grill Monday August 29, 2016 The wife and I went there on Monday August 29, 2016 around 1530 hours for a late lunch and to use a Local Flavor coupon I purchased for this business. Overall the dill pickle was crispy and tasted good; everything else was pretty lousy. The guy who waited on me said they are known for their cheese steak sandwiches and their menu picture on the front of the menu portrayed this overflowing mound of steak sandwich meat which filled and spread the hoagie roll wide in all directions. There were several pictures of French Fries pictured on the menu all portraying the regular frozen fries and fried to a crisp golden yellow tone. OK, here is what we received. I ordered the Scoops Cheese Steak and the wife had the California Cheese Steak, each with fries. Both tasteless steak sandwiches had so little meat within the roll it only came about one-third up the roll and the fries were pathetic. Not the type advertised in their menu, we were served a frozen type with skins on them and they were overdone and very brown looking. I hate these type of fries and would never have ordered them if Scoops Menu was accurate with truly what type of food they were serving. The fountain soda was terrible and we tried several flavors; no syrup, no fizz, just flat tasting carbonated water for each. I have one more coupon left and I will use it only to buy ice cream which should be good seeing they serve Turkey Hill Ice Cream. If you like lousy over-priced food and dishonest menu advertising, then Scoops Ice Cream & Grill is for you…

Last years owners were terrible, but there is a new owner this year (2010). The menu is back to burgers, hot dogs, wraps, chicken tenders and fries. The new owner is really nice and welcoming. If you were turned off by the last owners, give it a try again this year. I am sure you will like it! The ice cream is great and you get a good serving size for the cost. I know I will be going back multiple times during the summer for dinner and ice cream!

This review is about the Miniature Golf Course ONLY: My wife and I stayed in Lancaster over the weekend and asked the front desk where a good miniature golf course was and they suggested here. We LOVED it! The course is fun and immaculate. Its actually the first course Ive ever seen with actual fresh water with real living fish in it, not that fake blue toilet water. We had a blast and it was semi-challenging.

Excellent made-to-order food and delicious ice cream. Always friendly service. The place is PACKED on hot evenings (a sure sign of a good spot) so plan your timing accordingly. They have a miniature golf course as part of the property, so add some time to your stop and take in a game, as well. The owners are incredibly personable and will often come out to talk to customers if they can pull themselves away.

Nice casual place, I walked from Rutters since im a trucker, (this town needs some sidewalks) the person at the counter was very nice and friendly, menu was mainly beef burgers but the reason I made my way over was for the veggie burger, which was very good and filling with a side of great fries. Ice cream was good as well. If youre looking for a casual stop for a meal and a treat this is a good one.

Good fast food, I had a honey chicken sandwich. Fluffernutter sundae was yummy! However its Turkey Hill ice cream and Im partial to homemade... I would come back if looking to get dinner and ice cream but I prefer pineview dairy for their quality of ice cream!
