Placed an online order.. Said 8 minutes until ready.. I showed up in 10 minutes.. And waited another 20 minutes.. Worst of all though.. Hostess was incredibly rude.. She seemed put out by every person that came through the door.. I saw her seat multiple different people, no smile, just a monotone voice saying "just 2" or "how many". No hello, how are you, just plain rude over and over again.. Oh and she definitely did not seem concerned that I had to stand and wait for my food to take more than double the time quoted.. My experience of waiting couldve been so much better if it seemed like one worker in this building was even mildly concerned with getting my order or just being friendly in any way.. A smile or a hello.. Anything.. But nope.. Just got stared at and walked by over and over again.. The staff seems really good at one thing though.. Making people feel incredibly uncomfortable for waking through the door.. Businesses thrive because of their customers yet this staff seems like theyve been extremely inconvenienced by customers coming to spend money at their restaurant.. Whoever manages this particular staff.. an attitude check seems in order.

Food is pretty good but the alcohol rule they have is beyond stupid. Im of age and ordered a beer to go with my 9 after 5 deal. Im with my girlfriend whos 19 and obviously wasnt going to drink but I was denied my beer because she isnt of age despite Im the one purchasing and she wasnt even going to drink it. I asked my waitress what the reason behind it was and she said its a restaurant rule and I asked "is this all restaurants?" And she said "yes". Thats a complete lie cause we went to Bufords Kitchen down the street and didnt have this issue AND we went to the primantis in the South Hills and they didnt deny me a beer there. Waitress was a moron and she messed up how much the check was and I had to correct her about it. While the food is good, the service is pretty lousy - I do NOT recommend this location to people my age. I looked up the drinking laws in PA and couldnt find a single law or explanatiom saying I could not drink despite being 21... Because of this waitress, theres a good chance I might not come back. Never have I encountered a rule so stupid in all the restaurants Ive gone to...thanks a lot Primantis

I was in the Pittsburgh area on business and in need of a dinner option the first evening in town. I checked with the front desk and they recommended Primanti Bros. I was unaware that Primatis was a Pittsburgh legend, but Im glad I stopped in! The first time I visited, I had the pizza. It was pretty good, but I was later informed by several locals that this was not a good choice-- I needed to get the Primanti Bros. "Pitts-Burger" sandwich. So, I headed back a second time during my visit and I was very impressed! The Pitts-Burger is considered the #2 best seller at the restaurant; if you want a good laugh, ask them whats #1! As an added bonus, there are plenty of TVs showing just about any sporting event being broadcast at that time. While thats not unique to Primantis is is a nice feature, especially when the Penguins or the Steelers are playing. The next time Im back in the Pittsburgh area, Ill definitely stop in at Primantis!

Had to visit Primanti Bros while we were in Pittsburgh since theyre an institution. Im not a huge meat eater, and my daughter is a vegetarian, so we were already going in somewhat less than enthusiastic. That said, we had a decent meal. My daughter had the double egg and cheese, which she thought was pretty good, and I had the Cajun chicken which was not bad, although a bit light in flavor. We werent fond of the bread, but the way the sandwiches were put together was tasty. Cheese fries were good, but the spicy pub pickles had no spice at all, and so were a bit disappointing. Overall, glad we tried it but unlikely to come back. Would have been 3.5 stars, but service was very good, so worth the fourth star for that reason.

The food was OK. I wont say it was bad but I cant say I was blown away. From a chain I have only heard about because of food network, I assumed I was going to have a great experience. My sandwich was a bit on the dry side. The hot sausage had very little flavor. The Cole slave topping was probably the redeeming piece but since it was heavily vinegar based and not cream it did nothing to help the rest of the sandwich. I didnt care for the atmosphere which was Semi sports bar, semi local hangout. My wife in the other hand said her sandwich was decent. Perhaps it was just a poor choice of meal. Overall we have no desire to return in the near future

I would rate it a zero if possible. Every time we go there, service is ridiculously slow! Bad enough that I always want to just leave. Well tonight was the final straw! About a half hr wait with plenty of open tables and another 15 mins of sitting there waiting for a waitress. When we got up to leave, workers just looked at us like nothing and didnt say a word. The past 4 times have been that way and when attempting to complain to the so called manager, he tells me to wait a minute before I can speak to him!? This place has gone downhill and needs actual management in charge again.

Ordered over the phone and went in to pick up about 2 hours ago. Really wanted to like it since they have many high reviews, but the "black angus" sandwich was horrible. Maybe it was just a bad night, but the steak had absolutely no flavor and was super tough to chew. I took the sandwich apart to see what was going on and the meat wasnt even cut thoroughly. The fries were super brown and were over done. I would have taken the food back had I not been so tired from traveling. Too bad. First time in Pittsburgh and Primantis was

This is one of my favorite Primanti Bros. to go to, just because of the history I have with it! To be honest, this is another one of the "Family Restaurants", to get the "real thing" aka the original, got to go downtown or to the strip. But those locations dont serve burgers or wings or any of the extras, just the sandwiches and fries. I dont know if its chain-wide yet or not, but they did change the wing recipe, so they definitely are not as good. They dont have the same crispy battered outside they used to.

The pizza was the best in Moon. The Lamb Gyro is great. The Chili cant be beat for value. Im not so fond of their famous sandwiches though. Good happy hour prices on beers, and they have a nice selection. Update August 2013: They changed the dough that they use, and my pizza today came out about 3/4 to 1 inch thick with patches of uncooked dough. Theyre not thin and crispy any more, so they are no longer the best pizza in Moon. I had to deduct a star for that.

your wings are terrible I do not know when you changed them they used to be good the last two times I have ordered them they taste like they were cooked in a microwave and taste like chemicals thats the only thing you guys had I liked, Ill never go back unless you get the wings you used to have I dont understand how anyone would eat them I wouldnt eat them if I was starving and homeless get to how you used to be, almost famous? is that a joke
