Located in Lincoln Court shopping center in Malvern, Buena Vista is somewhat of a hidden gem. The restaurant is on the small side, and not visible from Rt 30 (but anyone visiting the QVC outlet will be directly facing the entrance upon exiting). The restaurant was formerly in a different strip mall on Rt30 (this section of Rt 30 seems entirely composed of strip malls). There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. The interior is cozy and colorful. Everything that comes out of the kitchen shows good attention to detail and looks, as well as tastes, appetizing. The complimentary chips are made from flour tortillas not corn (a nice change). Jalapeno poppers were made from scratch and huge. Sopas (which most Mexican restaurants in the area dont have) were very filling (a singe sopa is good appetizer for 2 people). Burritos / chimichangas are huge. There is frequently the option to get homemade drinks (either horchata or watermelon juice when I visited). My friends swear the cream of crab soup is the best.

ilove this place i had try many mexican restaurants in the area also in norristown not not one compare with this place autentic home made food the chips are fresh made so is the salsas hot sauces they dont have liquor license but the beer store is next door and the wine store is in the front to enjoy your fish tacos or try their home made drinks horchata wich is made of rice i order the chiles rellenos wich is fresh stuff poblano peppers with cheese and rice and beans and flour tortillas and for desert a freshly made bunuelo the portions are generous dont need to spend a fortune to eat a good mexican food ...buen apetit

Today, the food was not as good as before and there was no homemade drinks this time. Even the chips seem overcooked and the salsa was OK this time. Maybe it is a different chef this time. The grilled tilapia that I had was good though. The staff was friendly. My main motivation to post this review was that they now charge an extra 50 cents to split orders even between just two people. Ive never been to a place that does that before. First annoyance for me in general was the minimum order for credit cards that most places require, but this is a new level of extortion that I havent seen before at any restaurant.

Not good value-for-money here! (for 10$ you can get much better food nearby) - Food was delicious but portions were small (and I even dont eat that much) - Took quite a long time for preparation (although we were a larger group, one hour is way too much for business lunch) - Staff was not well organized and forgot orders, water on the table and silverware - Not appropriate for business lunch since preparation takes long and menu does not offer a wide variety (3 main courses, small as entries)

If I could I would put zero stars!! I made a order to pick up and my sister accidently also placed a order, I walked in willing to pay for both, but the OWNER!! Rudley threaten to call the cops on me if it happened again, she said it has happened before!!! Which i totally inderstand i just though as proffesion she should have never threatned me that way she didnt let me talk! So RUDE!!

The restaurant featured a nice menu but not sure how "authentic" it was. I was impressed by the fast service and the food was mostly good. However, the fajitas were $13 which came with perhaps 1/4lb of thin over cooked meat. The flavor of everything we ordered was spot on, besides being over cooked. The portions were rather average for the price if not small for the price.

The cheese dip was bland (yes, it was called cheese dip on the menu). I guess I should have known when she gave me the "are you sure?" look. The tortilla chips were extremely thick, not a fan. Also, I asked for an entre recommendation to which the waitress immediately responded "The burrito!". I took her advice this time and was sorely disappointed again.

My family and I decided to try this place out and are very happy we did! We became weekly customers now. Delicious homemade food, supper friendly staff, small cozy place. Everything is good here! Would definitely recommend the chipotle chicken, mole and chipotle sauce and guacamole! Dont forget your wine, its BYOB!

My wife and I tried Buena Vista Mexican Restaurant for the first time. I was impressed by the size of the food portions for the price. Most lunch meals are $7 to $10 and are very filling. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. This place is well worth trying.

Best Mexican food in the area! I moved from California about 3 years ago, and have been disappointed with all Mexican restaurants I had tried...until I found Buena Vista. It is the only one that comes even close to what I used to eat out in CA.

Salsa was tomato sauce / ketchup. Vegetarian burrito had broccoli and carrots. Need I say more? Service was fast and waitress was sweet tho.
