Ordered 2 sodas, 2 sandwiches and 2 side salads for delivery from conshy menus... they managed to get one sandwich correct. The 2 sodas were both not of the type we ordered. One "chicken sandwich" was literally just a piece of plain, dry grilled chicken on bread. One side salad was completely missing and the other was just a tiny amount of wilted lettuce soaked in ceasar dressing. I called about this and they tried to justify it by saying they ran out of vegetables... so they intentionally messed up my ordered then proceeded to charge me full price. After some discussion with an employee/owner who had a bit of an attitude they agreed to refund my credit card. They of course never did and when I contacted them again several days later they offered to give me $8 back (of the $35 order) for a salad valued at $4.25 and for the missing parts of one of the sandwiches valued at $2.75. I think thats whats called adding insult to injury. I decided to let Brunos keep their $8... its a fair price for never having to deal with them again.

The split pea soup was horrible. It was thick as wallpaper paste, and tasted like it was pea puree. The server also gave me a bowl instead of a cup. When I told her it was terrible, she told me she had it earlier and agreed it was awful. She took it off the bill. There was only 1 waitress (I was there a little after 7pm on a Saturday evening), and she seemed overwhelmed. I wanted to read the news and my emails on my phone while I ate, so I asked her for the WiFi password. Although she told me several times shed write it down for me, she never did. As I was finishing up, I saw that the password was written on the board near the cash register, but it was so low that I had to walk over to see it. It did me no good, because I was unable to learn the network name, and it wasnt very obvious.

Ive been to Brunos countless times. The food quality and the friendly atmosphere keep me coming back. They make some of the tastiest and generously adorned hoagies that Ive had in the area. The food is simple and no-nonsense and the ingredients are of high quality. For me, a huge part of a great sandwich is the quality of the rolls or bread. Brunos nails it with fresh baked rolls that must be delivered daily to taste as good as they do. People who complain about a little grease are missing the point of this place. This is short-order food at its finest. You can sit at the counter and chat with the owner while he mans the grill. Hes a little wild, but a lot of fun. Go for a little hike along the Wissahickon and stop by for lunch. It makes for a great day!

I live around the corner from Brunos and we went back for breakfast after years of avoiding the place thinking that perhaps it had gotten better. Well we were wrong. My wife described her pancakes as the "The worst Ive ever had". My sausages tasted terrible, burned oil, flattened, and the eggs were just horrible. Oh, and the coffee was disgusting, neither one of us finished a single cup. The people who work there couldnt care less. Die Brunos die. If you want a good cup of coffee and some good pastry try Chestnut Hill Coffee, or the French Bakery, both at the top of the hill. CHCoffee has soups for lunch too.

The waitress was horrible and clueless. We asked if they had sweet tea she said yes brings us the tea and tells us were the sugars at to make it sweet, the ranch for my salad was watered down, when we finally got our food my brothers was hot around the edges and cold in the middle. Mine was Luke warm not hot at all. The Alfredo sauce looked like it had been sitting a while because it was think and chunky. If the food would have been made fresh and not pulled out of the freezer and thrown in the microwave I think it would have been better.

We have celebrated so many things here from surviving Race for the Cure, Mothers Day breakfast, graduation brunches, etc. Not fancy at all but the best vibe and fries. Dont miss the Chestnut Hill hoagie. And you can take a hike or ride in Valleygreen to work off the calories or treat yourself after a good workout. Dogs allowed on the patio which makes it even better in the warm weather.

Dont know what happened to the place but it is just not the same as it was 10 years ago. The waitress was nice ... thats about all I can say that is positive. The food was not good, the place got dingy, its like theyre winding down and just dont care anymore. Either step it back up a few notches .... or retire already. I wont go back.

My parents and I recently ate at Brunos and we were not impressed. The food was OK, the service was terrible and the restaurant itself was extremely dirty. There were cobwebs and bugs everywhere, it looked the place had not been cleaned in a long time. Would not recommend anyone to eat there.....there are much better places in the area.

Ordered a few sandwiches which took 40 minutes to arrive. Food was marginal at best. Waited longer to finally get silverware. I know its crazy, but the napkins are terrible. I guess I forgot why I hadnt been here since high school. I can re-cross this off my list.

Brunos is a decent place. Kind of like a diner, but not really. The food is good and I find the prices reasonable. This is a good no-nonsense place to go to with friends. The rotating art is really nice and they are BYOB.

Old fashioned! Great atmosphere! Lovely waitresses! Very diverse! The cooks are a little off but the food isnt bad at all. The waitresses are sent out a little too often to check on things, but very friendly and warm.

The owner treated everyone terribly. No one was wearing gloves when dealing with deli meats and the counter was filthy as well as where they were preparing food. Ordered a chicken sandwich and got food poisoning.

The only GOOD thing about Brunos is that it has outdoor seating. The food is mediocre, the service is terrible and out of 6 times we have come here, they seem understaffed and nobody knows what they are doing.

The cook issues a steady stream of commands to keep the waitresses hopping. The decor is a bit run down. But more important, the hoagies, grinders, coffee, and milkshakes are always excellent.

Delicious pizza steak and fries. Black cherry soda too. Hit the spot on a cold January night. The service was excellent. Our group of 8 got everything we needed. Will be back for milkshakes!

I suggest heading here after spending time on Forbidden Drive. There cheesesteaks and milkshakes are excellent. Reasonable prices. Outdoor seating.
