Both dining rooms had an assortment of visible litter on the carpets. I thought the staff would have cleaned up the lemon wedge on the floor next to our table but that didnt happen. The vacant table next to us had food litter and such underneath it. This kind of stuff is expected in a restaraunt of course but the issue was no one cleaned it up and it looked like it had been like for a x amount of days. I felt very uncomfortable eating my food in an environment like this. The food was very pricey for 2 people, especially for the quality. We could have ate somewhere cleaner and cheaper.

I do not understand the popularity of this place. Twice my food was not cooked properly. Chef seems to love sauces, as he put steak sauce on my prime rib, probably to cover the overwhelming propane taste. Extra star, as my gf liked her chicken, but it was not as expected. Not exactly the cleanest place,table was wet/sticky, but it is off the beaten path, and it was not so bad I was afraid. Food ordered to go, was not ready at specified pickup time, was actually ready 20 minutes after specified time. Servers were friendly.

Waited to be seated, then waited to be seen....then decided hunger was overwhelming and moved on to somewhere where the wait staff is aware of the customers. Wanted to eat, but, they are focused on the drinking crowd, not the restaurant. Want to eat? Sit are the bar. Also, they know the local crowd - same ol local menu, American fare, with too much Italian.. at least, thats my sense, looking over the menu. Recommend checking it out before you go. The juke box was blasting inside - bring your ear plugs.

Lots of problems in the kitchen making the waitresses having to apologise for many mistakes. Ordered french fries and got pasta instead. Ordered breaded pork chops, they werent. Didnt get our drinks til after we finished eating our salads. Waited forever to get the check, then their credit card machine died and they took $5 off the check for paying cash. Waitress was great but near a nervous break down.

Waitress was friendly and fast.. food was cold once we got it. Lots of chaotic yelling from kitchen which was uncomfortable. New owners do not have the appearance of professionals and were not friendly. Can tell They cater to the locals they know at the bar just by watching how they interacted. Not impressed and never again

Went for a nice weekend away. Decided to stop here for dinner. Wings were great. Dinner never saw. Chicken Marsala with green beans on it but ok started to eat and it was raw. Terrible food service was very slow could had got quicker service at the bar. Would not recommend.

Im still waiting for my food its been quite a while now. The menu isnt that great and it is so hot in here that I am sweating so bad. It is so uncomfortable. The chairs are like sitting on boards. Im ready to scream cuz its taking so long an I just want to leave. Never again

Walked almost a mile here for a pizza.. they gave me a frozen pizza, ya it was cooked but you can tell its not freshly made or hand tossed there.. seriously couldve went to Walmart and got this crap for like $3.. not happy, no wonder theyre closing down!

One of my favorite places to eat in Honesdale. So many choices on the menu plus a variety of daily specials. Ice cream for the kids. The taco salad is my favorite unless I get a steak. Roomy with great customer service.

The family and myself quite enjoyed our times eating Dinner at the Halfway House. Food was very good an service was friendly and had good timing. Definitely looking forward to going back.

Not cooked my chicken wasnt cooked.....in addition we waited an hour for napkins. They screwed up two orders and delivered a salad drowned in water. If you want a nice meal dont go here.

Restaurant is very clean, Staff is always great, however I just cant say I have been impressed with the food. I would still recommend this restaurant to people to give it a shot however.

Food was good, but 6 dollars for 5 wings is a. bit pricey. Youre paying a dollar a wing. Place could use a makeover as well. The wait staff was good and polite.
