Our experience was indescribable! There is no way to give a rating and review of this place that does not lack in description and praise! I hate mushy reviews...I dont ever give 5 stars because nothing is perfect....well I have revised that viewpoint today. This is one Steakhouse that has outdone itself. The staff are phenominal. Not only that but they are GENUINE!!!! They truly care about their customers. Attentive and courteous, Friendly, and not that fake friendliness but a genuine emotion. They give the atmosphere a comfortable, "down home" feeling. Now, The food. There can be no justice done to the food by my meager descriptions. This is one instance where you just have to experience it to understand it. The Chef posesses an amazing palet and combines flavors both clash AND COMPLIMENT each other at the same time. Now, I have eaten steaks at some of the best steakhouses in America and elsewhere, and I would be hard pressed to find another experience where the Chef has been able to blend flavors like this. An almost perfect sear and range of colors inside a rare steak show that this Chef is on the ball. A delicate cut such as Filet Mignon done almost flawlessly. My daughter loved it so much she wanted a picture with the Chef. My steak, my wifes steak....for lack of a better term, flawless. There is a reason this Chef has won local awards...and it is my opinion that he could win much more if he wanted. Thank You, Chef Dougie, for making our evening out so memorable! If I lived in Pa. I would eat here as often as possible.

I needed to find a place for Easter lunch that was a good half way point (we live 2 hours away) to see our daughter who is in College at Shippensburg and I stumbled across some of the reviews and thought Id give it a try. Im not from the area so I didnt really have anything to go on..... but the website had a menu that looked good and most reviews were good as well. We got there a few mins late and were seated right away. Our waitress was perfect....seriously. She gave us time to catch up with our daughter without making us feel rushed to get our orders in. She was always checking on us and gave us great recommendations for food based on what we told her our likes and dislikes were. She nailed it and the food was amazing. I have to say....I am a steak lover.....and these cuts of meat were some of the best I have ever had. We had Bison tacos to start and they could easily have been a meal all their own. We all had a different cut of meat and I cant pick one that was better than the other. We finished off by sharing the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie and it was to die for!! This restaurant is now on our map for future visits. Our daughter has 3 more years at Ship so we might become regulars.

I am 21 years old, not the usual atmosphere for Dodge CIty, but I must say I felt like I was at home. My boyfriend and I were seated immediatley following entering the western styled restuarant (very cute btw.) The appetizer we tried was delicious, fried cauliflower, and the amazing selection of wine made it hard for me to choose what I wanted. Dont worry men, they have many selections of beer for you! Big selections of large portions dinner entrees. I myself had the filet mingon, only 20 dollars!!!!!!! My boyfriend on the other hand, tried their home made fall off the bone ribs that were smothered in tasteful sweet and tangy sauce. Because of the large portions we didnt get to try their homemade deserts, but next time we go for a date night we will make sure to leave some room for those fudge filled cookies! I would also like to mention that the servers Doug hired are more than courteous to please your every need. So stop on in, Doug (the owner) always has time to talk with every guest and cater to your every question, concern, and need to give you the best dining experience any restaurant can give.

this place is horrible!!!! the decor was nice after being on the show. we werent greeted very well and i didnt even know who was waiting on me and my boyfriend because there were to many people at our table. i ordered the house salad which was good. i ordered the hanger steak which it says on the menu marianted in balasmic ving. and has a red wine demi glaze. well i got my food and it looked like a college kid made it. it had the steak which was way too acidity.. it tasted like a balasmic ving syrup. then in the middle were orange slices??? really??? then the blue cheese orzo was fair. this plate costed 18 bucks. my boyfriend burger costed 10 bucks. then the manager i guess.. came to the table and asked us how our meals were so we told him.. he said well we dont hear that even often.. and offered us free dessert.. um your food stinks dont try to make me stay longer.. then he said sorry and literally ran off. so i had to go to rite aid to get antacids. someone needs to bring chef irvine back asap!!! his work is not done.

My husband and I had seen the Restaurant Impossible episode a few times and last night we finally made it for dinner. Wow! The food is fabulous!! One of us had the bone-in rib eye with the blue cheese mash potatoes and the seared scallops with mango sauce app (both dishes completely gluten free). The other had the hanger steak with orzo and the bison sliders app. We finished it off with the creme brulee. Everything was excellent in presentation, cook temperature, quality of meat cut, freshness and flavor. We will definitely be back! The decor was nice and looks just the way it does on the show. 5 stars based on the food--which certainly puts this restaurants food up there in the top 5-10 restaurants in the area (better than the Progress Grille and Flinches, a bit below the complexity and flavors of Mangia Qui, Bricco, Golden Sheaf, and Tavern on the Hill). Also--I was very pleasantly surprised that this place did gluten free right especially since they werent completely sure.

My husband and I were traveling through the area on our way for a clergy conference in Lancaster and stopped here for lunch. We had seen this restaurant on Restaurant Impossible and were touched by the owners story and transformation. The atmosphere and service were great. My husband order fish and chips, and I order the manhattan clam chowder and side salad. The food was fresh, hot, and delivered right on time. My only single complaint was the chowder as it tasted a bit on the watery side but still flavorful. The rest of our food was absolutely delish cooked perfectly, especially the batter on the fish and the fresh cut fries. This will be our routine lunch stop. It was also great chatting with the owner about his reality show experience and Robert Irvine. Its great to see his business doing so well! What a blessing!

Easily my favorite steakhouse around. I first started coming here post-makeover without knowing it was on "Restaurant Impossible" and thought it had a warm, modern-western style. The servers are all friendly and attentive and makes for an unpretentious place to eat, nice and relaxed. Doug, the owner is always so friendly and attentive, you can tell he truly cares. The steak is fantastic, the best feature being the taste of charred, smoky wood in the flavor. You wont get that at any of the other steakhouses around here, not that Ive found. They have variations on things like mashed potatoes, offering them with jalapenos and other delicious ways. The dinner rolls are slightly firm/crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside. Ive always had a very pleasant experience here and always look forward to visiting.
