From the moment my girlfriend and I walked into this place it was busy. Very busy. The hostess said it would be at least an hour wait. We took this as a good sign. They had a bar so we decided to grab the two open seats and order a drink while we waited for our table. The bartender asked us if wed like a menu to order an appetizer. We said not just yet (we had an hour just until we got a table). But my girlfriend decided she was hungry and could use a snack soon. The next time the bartender came near I asked him if we could see the menu now - he blatantly ignored me, did several more tasks, passed out menus TWO more times before he came back with one for us. He made it clear we were being punished for our iniquities. We ordered an appetizer - it was an enormous basket of fried food. It tasted just as any deep fried food would - no better - no worse. We decided to just remain at the bar to order our entrees. I walked over to the hostess and told her she could cross our names off - that we would be staying at the bar to eat. When we finally got the bartenders attention again (the bar is small and you can easily talk across it) we attempted to order our food. He proceeded to scold us in the Loading Dock Etiquette. He told us that there is a wait to be seated at the bar just as there is for tables. But since we were there already we might as well stay. Are you kidding me? First of all I have never seen a restaurant in all my life that you are not allowed to wait at the bar for your name to be called to a table. And if this is the case why did he wait until after drinks and appetizers but before meals to inform us? And why is there no sign stating this? My steak tasted like it came out of a freezer. My girlfriend ordered the vegetable pasta Alfredo - it was HUGE and OBVIOUSLY FROZEN. It was clearly something like Birdseye Frozen Steamer Microwave bags. YUCK. Basket of fried fat, four absolute & tonics, one steak and one steamer microwave bag - our total came to $150 before tip!!! Seriously, people wait out the door to be over charged for terrible service and worse food. I just do not get it. Here is a tip: smaller portions and balance the cost into quality food.

Great food with a rather large yet basic menu and huge food portions; fried apps, salads, burgers and fries, hot sandwiches, and entreés such as rack of ribs and many variants of chicken. I had the chicken scampi over penne. The beer menu is very large and constantly changing, with an awesome digital beer menu up on the TVs that show the type of beer, glass, price, and how much beer is left in the keg. Pretty cool! Very nice contemporary seating and dining area, looked brand new to me give or take a year. It tries to be like one step up from a general family restaurant but could be so much more if they tried. Did I mention the portions were huge? We brought home five takeout containers between the two of us, even the side salad was huge! Needless to say that it was a good experience and we will be back.

There is nothing special about this place that sets it apart from the rest. Soups, sandwiches, basic entrees, just like everywhere else. You can tell by tasting the food that most, if not all, is purchased pre-made and not made in-house. I simply cant understand what the appeal about this place is. There isnt much decor to speak of - its not a sports bar, its not a fine-dining establishment, its not a pub. It looks like a place to eat in a big open space with a bar plunked in the middle. The time waiting for a table was ridiculous. When we did get seated, there were crumbs on the table, obviously because it wasnt wiped down. It took a long time for the food to come out, too. The portions are large, but if thats your only criteria for "good food"...

I was extremely disappointed with my experience. We were excited to go because we had heard good things about the restaurant, however I was not impressed. We arrived at 3:20 and I, with food allergies, attempted to order their steak and shrimp entrée, gluten free, not realizing they didnt serve them untill 4:00. Not only did they not make an acception, but the owner came out to help me make the only other option of wings, which I did not really want. Then I returned from a trip to the restroom to find that my food I had not finished yet, was already taken and the table was cleared. Needless to say, I will not be going back there to eat.

Chicken Parm hoagie - never again. It was made with over-fried popcorn chicken and a boatload of cheese globbed onto the top of the bread. Threw over half of it away. Seafood Bisque - Way too thick and not many seafood/vegetable ingredients. It was more like spoonfuls of super thick buttery gravy. Stood my metal spoon up easily. I only ate about half. Hot Garlic Wings - Very tasty if you like very spicy butter garlic wings. Crab Cakes - decent flavor, not enough crab. No way worth the price. I honestly dont know where the great reputation is coming from. I could easily make better and Im no chef.

I came here for lunch around 1:20pm or so. Not too busy. The staff were continuously cleaning and our server was very friendly. I hadnt read the reviews and was here on a recommendation of a co-worker. I wanted a burger and ordered a mushroom Swiss hamburger. My two friends had sandwiches that both looked very good. My burger lacked flavor, like the meat hadnt been seasoned at all. It was a perfect medium rare and the fries were perfect, but the hamburger was just not there. Very bland. There are a lot of choices on the menu and this place warrants a second try, but it was a swing and a miss for me.

Went here on December 5th (My Birthday) Calling it great would be under-selling . The Food was outstanding, my steak was the best Ive ever had, as was the service. This place is beyond clean, and well run . The people in charge seem to care about what comes out of the kitchen , and it shows . Wait time to be seated was a little under 5 minutes and the place was packed . Our food arrived in a timely manor , with more than enough space between salads and appetizers. All in all, The Loading Dock is beyond good, and a real value for your money , Ill be back, often .

Way beyond my expectations! This place delivers on all fronts, from some of the best service Ive ever encountered , to the custom made food I ordered... Thats right , I wanted a buffalo chicken quesadilla and man did they deliver a masterpiece. It was loaded with crispy buffalo chicken , cheese , and an outstanding chunky blue cheese dressing. If you happen to pass through the Dunmore , PA area.... Do Not Hesitate! You will be happy you stopped. Oh and I forgot to mention , great prices as well! I Give this place 5 stars +++!!

I have eaten here a few times and usually very good. Tonight the food was horrible. It started with me having to wait 20 more minutes after arriving for a pick up they estimated at half an hour. They were busy so i was like OK they are busy. I got home with my order to find my bacon burger was soggy covered in fries. My wifes stuffed mushrooms were undercooked and the crab meat had shells and a really fishy taste. If your going to make a customer wait longer than originally estimated than make sure their food is at least good.
