We normally have a good experience when we eat at Texas Lunch, but this evening was the complete opposite. My husband and I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu. When we received our meal and starting eating the Chicken Cordon Bleu, we noticed that it was still RAW. We told the waitress, she apologized and took it back to get it fixed. While waiting for the meat to cook we ate our potato dish. Needless to say by the time the meat was done we had our side dish ate. I was to full from my salad and french fries that I just couldnt bring myself to eat the meat. I guess I was still thinking/looking at the Chicken Cordon Bleu that I could not bring myself to eat it. The manager NEVER came out once, what a chicken s**t. We ended up paying full price for our meals. Wont beckon their door again.

Not what it used to be. Change isnt always good. We miss the way it used to be. Have been going there for years. The server that I have never seen before started off by saying the chicken would be about 30 mins, which is fine bc it was our favorite, WAS. The feathers kinda grossed us out. My wife, son, and I usually eat here when visiting my home town, but the new changes in some of the food changed that for us. And the prices went up.

Was "greeted" (if you can call it that) by a very rude server several minutes after arriving. I had ordered food and was told i couldnt get it because "the cooks dont want to make it." What kind of excuse it that?? Worst part is, all I had ordered was two plates of their signature dish (Texas Style Burgers). This was not the first time I have had bad service here, but it will sure be the last.

The hospitality is very exceptional, they treat you like you are part of the family but I probably just had the worst cheese steak of my lifemy lady and I went to have a nice good quiet dinner and ended up leaving more than half our meal because the cooks wanted to rush the food. They need fired or at the least take some cooking lessons.

Though the name is "The Historic Texas Lunch"... There is nothing Historic about it... They have photos of the town as well as photos of celebrities. It seems as if they are trying to give the impression that those people have ate there... However they have not. The food is very good and I look forward to my meal every time I go there.

Came here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Easy to grab a table, waitress was fast and attentive, and the food was super satisfying. Cash only seems to keep the prices down, and it may not look like much to people coming from out of town, but its comfy and the food was delicious.

Cool throw back restaurant. Nice staff- never let me see bottom of my coffee cup. Ordered cream chipped beef with home fries both were average, not much beef or flavor, but not bad either; huge portion though. Would go there again and try something else.
