The Manor House Restaurant is set in a beautiful stone house with an impressive main room and balcony and parlor seating with huge fireplaces. The house is the oldest part of the property which is a very charming Bed and Breakfast. It’s the place to be on a chilly night with your special someone, really romantic! As far as the menu is concerned -not cheap but is totally worth the price. From appetizers to dessert you can tell they use only the best and freshest ingredients. The Chef shows detailed care to not only flavor but also to preparation and appearance. They have three, four and five course dinners, from $65.00 and up pp -the 3-course is plenty to fill you up. The wine choices are varied, most on the high end price range, but truly worth the price. Finally the best part of the meal -for me, at least- was the dessert which came with the chef and owner of the restaurant. He spent a good twenty minutes to get a good feedback from our dinner experience and also to get to know us which we thought was great. I haven’t seen many reviews of this restaurant but I think everyone that’s looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion should definitely give the Manor House a try.

My husband and I had dinner at the newly reopened Manor House Restaurant and enjoyed the beautiful drive from Warrenton out to lovely Casanova. The grounds at Poplar Springs were so beautiful and peaceful especially at sunset when we arrived! The restaurant itself struck us as breathtakingly old world in style. The huge ceilings were hung with chandeliers and the walls were old stone. My husband and I both felt as though we were very far away, somewhere in Europe several hundred years ago. Servers were excellent and knowledgable, ready to fill your glass the second it was empty. The drinks were very innovative and remarkable. The Casanova Iced Tea was my favorite for a summer day. We ordered the sun-dried tomato and lemon Gnocchi and the jumbo lump crab cakes for appetizers, perfectly cooked rare filet mignon for entrees, and vanilla Pannacotta for dessert. It was all perfection! We didnt want to leave. The lounge also looked very enticing although only my husband went in for an after dinner bourbon. The prices were surprisingly comparable to other nice restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back as soon as possible!

Despite a few miscues, this was the best dining experience I have ever had (anywhere). The atmosphere is secluded and rustic and the food is as unique as the atmosphere. (The Virginia roast pheasant was unbelieveable.) I finally understand what they mean when they talk about balanced flavors. The only things I will say could have been done better were the steak (good flavors, but too tough along the outside) and the deserts (not on par with the rest of the menu.) It is definitely pricey, but you get what you pay for. I cannot wait to try this place again.

What a wonderful experience our family just had at Poplar Springs Manor House restaurant. The service was excellent. All of the wait staff were well dressed and attentive. We were there for brunch and could not believe the amazing offerings that they had. From huge shrimp, fresh oysters, and salmon to an omelet station and prime rib cooked to a perfect medium rare. The deserts were out of this world too. We topped it off with a stroll around the peaceful grounds. I highly recommend this to anyone

Management throws server under bus. When asked about special dessert ordered 2 weeks prior, told to speak with server who had no idea what we were talking about When manager finally surfaced, he admitted that staff had dropped ball but said we could still order off the menu. After 5 years of being loyal customers this is how our concern was dismissed. Management only after dollars not returning customers.

Fantastic setting. Had Sunday Brunch which was wonderful. Sat outside on a gorgeous day. Loved the stone buildings and the whole regal environment. Will be back!
