We hated this place. The ambience seemed nice at first. But it was a little dark with small spotlights that point to odd places around the table instead of, say, where the menu and food go. Then we noticed the flatware was dirty. The wonton soup was standard fare broth with two small wontons and a few shreds of undercooked vegetables. The coconut shrimp soup had one shrimp and so much curry (not spicy hot) that no other flavors were discernible. The spare ribs (four) were small, with very little meat, and completely burnt sauce. The seafood dumplings were flavorless and served in hot oil, which is spicy but does nothing to give any flavor. The mango chicken entrée was so-so. The mustard coconut shrimp entrée was appetizer-sized; it seemed like the coconut was an afterthought, as if the shrimp had been cooked and then rolled in a few strands of coconut. We were given a small cup of rice for five people. No tea or noodles or anything. The waiter rarely came to our table, pretty much only to bring what we ordered, and never asked us how we were enjoying everything or if we wanted anything else after the initial order. This was our first time here. We had intended to order more after the first round, but were so dissatisfied with the food and service that we left hungry and ate elsewhere later.

This place is amazing, was here 6 years ago when we lived in the area. And still has the same amazing food and amazing service. I knew we were good to go when we walked through the door to see the same familiar face of the host. The drinks are on point and well presented. The wonton soup is to die for and so tasty, the wontons are succulent and tender with nice vegetables to accompany the wontons. OMG let me tell you about the golden crab meat purses. If you are a crab rangoon lover you will never want normal Chinese again. Yang ming is the place to get goons. And let me finish by saying the general tso chicken is a favorite. I dont get how they can make such a classic dish so delicious. I love this place and people should try it regardless of history. The media always sheds bad light on gems like this place.

We organized a family birthday party for 11 adults, 1 babysitter and 4 grandkids last Saturday night. They gave us a large room on the first floor at the back of the restaurant. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The service was really outstanding! The room was set up and ready and we were allowed to decorate it however we wanted. We had enough space to set up a play area for the smaller grandkids, a table for the adults, a table for the kids, a table for cake and gifts another for drinks, one for starters and one for a TV with picture show. The food was delicious and the price tag was impressively low. I would give Yang Ming restaurant my highest recommendation for any family celebration. They make it easy, pleasant and yet elegant.

Best catering and dining service ever! We booked Yang Ming for our wedding reception. Not only the food was beautifully presented and extremely delicious, but the manager Allan was super capable and responsible. To make certain the service excels, Allan initiated and visited the reception site several times. Our reception was a huge success due with a big part to Yang Mings food and service. I also have dined there with friends and family. They have authentic Chinese dishes and their creative fusions are so unique that you cant find anywhere else but so delicious! Highly recommend for private dining to formal catering. Best in town!

I have always felt that Yangming was vastly overrated and overhyped thanks to its plethora of questionable (fake?) rave reviews. I am super happy that Yangming has been exposed as the fraud they actually are. Not only have authorities discover millions(!) of disgusting cockroaches there, but they have also uncovered spoiled/leftover food that was being re-served to their trusting customers. Thank god that the local government has indefinitely closed Yangming. I had never heard of the police getting involved to inspect and monitor a restaurant; Yangming must have been incredibly filthy for that to have happened!!!!!

I was served an entree that had a live giant roach moving on top of the food!!! I summoned the waiter & he shrugged his shoulders & told me I would not be charged!!! I asked for the manager, but no one came!! Other diners near my table SAW the roach moving on my plate & continued to eat their dinners! Shame on them! As my family & I left the man at the entrance acted as if nothing happened!! I am relieved that Yang Ming FINALLY has to answer for these egregious health & sanitation violations! Needless to say, since Im a discriminating diner, my family & I WILL NEVER RETURN to this FILTHY place!!!

I have to say, this was my family, and Is FAVORITE restaurant! Until, this week, we were informed by the news that this place was infact significantly INFESTED with roaches. A customer claimed to have found roaches in their food. They hadnt been inspected since 2013. And, when an inspector went in, a peice of tape was on the wall, and when the tape was taken off, roaches came pouring out. Reportedly some long as two inches in size! I am totally disgusted to hear this and ashamed to say I was a regular, loving customer here. I will no longer be eating, nor wasting my money on this food again!

The food was less than mediocre. The service was even worse, I had my credit card information swiped (most likely on a cell phone) on a device from the waiter and it the information was sold to a credit card fraud ring. Someone in California with a fake credit card with my information on it charged products to my card. Worse yet, when I called the manager about the issue letting him know that someone at his company may be doing this, his only concern was defending his workers. He did not care to investigate the matter further in order to protect future customers! I do not trust Yang Ming.

After hearing this was the # 1 Chinese restaurant in America, I had to see it for myself. The dinner entrees start around $12-13 and the portions are very small. I would say half the size of a usual Chinese restaurant. The quality is pretty good and my wife and I ordered 2 soups, scallion pancake, orange beef, and mango chicken. Our bill came to $50 which I thought was a little steep considering we were still pretty hungry. Growing up in New Jersey close to NYC, I have pretty high standards for Chinese food.

This was my first time at Yang Ming and I was very disappointed. I heard such good reviews and was expecting a nice dinner. Unfortunately, our waiter was rude and we had to physically find him multiple times throughout the night just to get more water. Very poor service! The food was average. I was unable to finish my entree and asked for a to go box and the waiter boxed only half of what was left on my plate. I would not recommend this restaurant nor would I go there again.

I have only tried Yangmings chicken, beef, and seafood dishes. I was not impressed at all, as none of it tasted truly fresh. It had obviously been frozen ages ago and then reheated. Yuck! And cockroaches are hardly Yanmings only problem: read the Inquirer article "Yangming to get three citations, may reopen soon". Then again, do not read it unless you have a strong stomach! I shall never return to Yangming. I do not want their food if it is free!
