Our service was really poor and uncaring. The food was mediocre at best. For example, I ordered vegetable tempura and ended up biting into chicken. When I told the server Im vegetarian, there was no apology and she came back in a minute after obviously taking the chicken off. She also forgot some dishes and we had to wait -- again no apology or offer to repair the situation. They really just dont care and cant decide whether to make Thai or Japanese food. Also, this place is not cheap for what you get. Save your $$ or go to Ginza.

I re-entered this place right after closing time because we had just eaten there and we forgot one of our items so when we entered they had a really bad attitude and they said that there were no items left but after looking for a few minutes and them saying repeatedly "we have nothing" they pulled my item out and said is this it. I said yes and this leaves me thinking poorly about this business. The food was decent but the attitude is not great.

I called for a delivery order and was told because I am one block over from ardmore in havertown, they would not deliver to my house. When you food is mediocre at best, its really in your businesss best interest to have good customer service. There are too many great restaurants with great food and stellar customer service in this area to settle and eat or order food from Mikado.

The first time I came here was as a kid with my mom and Ive been coming back for years. The food is almost the same as the first time I came here over 15 years ago. The sushi is the best in the area and I honestly will not have any sushi unless it looks as fresh as Mikados sushi. I love that theyve merged the two restaurants together because it creates a unique atmosphere.

Mikados version of the spicy tuna roll--called the Ardmore--is my favorite item on the menu. Its a beautiful presentation of a standby sushi roll. They also have a unique dining area where you feel as if you are sitting at ground level without the discomfort of actually sitting cross-legged on the ground.

PLEASE READ Last night I ordered takeout from this establishment. Once I arrived home and began eating, I saw mixed in with my food A DEAD COCKROACH. I called the restaurant and they did apologize, however this is unacceptable for any restaurant.

This place has really good food. I visit Thailand a few times a year so I have a pretty good idea of what Thai food should taste like. This is one of the best Ive found in the area so far!

Sushi is the best weve ever had, and barely any more money than the run of the mill sushi places in the area. The panang duck is phenomenal. The other curry dishes weve had are great too.
