This place is amazing! I brought a large party of around 10 people and the waiter, who was extremely nice, paid attention and every time someone said what the wanted he wrote on his order pad. I was very happy to see someone actually paying attention! The orders were extremely varied and almost every burger was customized from simple changes like no tomatoes or cooking it well done to extra cherry pie filling and more. This was all intermingled with bad jokes from the waiter and questions about their crazy selection of burgers. After it was all said and done, he read back the order to make sure it was correct. After verifiying that all was right, he handed me the paper he had written on and read and instead of an order... there was a drawing of every person at the table, all rather well done and cartoony. I could not believe that he could get every detail right, interact with us all and when the food came out... it was perfect and delivered to the person who ordered it. If that was all there was to it, Id come back just for the service. However the food was AMAZING! Everything was good, even the Hot Fudge burger was good... I had to take my nephews word for it... Im not that brave. My burger was the Black Bart, Trail Boss size. One pound of hamburger (pre-cook weight) and then add on cheese (cheddar and pepperjack if I recall), it also had Jalepenoes and spicy link sausage. The veggies were the standard lettuce, onion and tomatoe. I am not a fan of fruit on my sandwich so I ordered no tomato. I also had their Raspberry Lemonade and an order of their fries. The fries are GREAT! The raspberry lemonade was good but was clearly from concentrate. I didnt come for the drink though! Oh and one more thing that I thought was cool. Missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints get 1/2 off their order! I dont care about religion, but what I do like is a company that takes care of these kids who have no money other than the allowance that is sent from mom and dad. I know of places owned by people of other faiths that dont discount food or services for thier missionaries. I love that about the Mormons, they take care of each other and everyone else as well. So go to Calamity Janes and get a great burger. The restaurant may be run by a Mormon family, but you will not be approached about their religion and you can order a beer without anyone looking at you funny for doing it. I only mention the missionary thing because theres a TON of dollars on the celing and a lot are from missionaries, all of them are written or doodled on and that created the question and hence why I have the info. Apparently they take it all down every once in a while and donate it all to a local charity. Good food and great people. I really cant ask for more. Its America as it was intended to be... at least while youre there. The bad part? Parking. The parking is horrible.

So I just moved to the Sandy area and was looking for a place to be my local burger place. So seeing the reviews I decided to give it a try. That was my first mistake. First there was only one waitress, but a million employees from what I observed. The menu comes on newspaper, and I think is supposed to be part of the shtick of the place. The variety of burgers is ludicrous. Literally some of the weirdest combos I have ever seen in my life. First the prices took me back, I think they live off the tourist coming through, because for what they serve, the prices are high. The burger I ordered came with two eggs, the waitress never even asked me how I wanted my eggs. And let met back up, I was seated, and finally brought the menu, and never even asked what I wanted to drink. Someone came in after me, they received their beers right away. The burger, was decent. Nothing special at all. The fries were fantastic! Those would make me come back, well almost. The waitress never once came to refill my drink, I had to get up finally and ask a woman sitting on her phone for a refill. And lastly, I sat there done for awhile before being asked if I wanted my check, this again by the woman sitting doing stuff on her phone not by the waitress. So lastly, not going back. I eat a lot of burgers, and am very loyal to a place, but never here.

Was getting great service when we would order to-go. However, recently there seems to be some new staff that doesnt know what they are doing. Ordering is a nightmare, having to repeat everything ordered at least twice and not getting a correct confirmation. Two trips ago, were told we could substitute a different side for fries. When we arrived to pick up the order, it took 10 minutes longer than we were quoted, and the server waited until he brought the food out to tell us they couldnt substitute the other side, and would we like to wait for it to be made? Last time they completely left off the second item ordered out of three, they said that we never ordered it, and then were going to charge us to wait and make it, when we had already waited almost 15 minutes longer than the 15 minutes we were told it would be to pick up. Asked for a refund of the entire order and had to wait an additional 10 minutes while it took four people to process a refund. Also when paying, they dont give you the total, just hold out their hand for the card. Will not be going back, despite having received stellar service in the past and loving the food there.

We went in at 7:30pm, were served water right off the bat. Waiter gave us MORE then enough time to orūder, I specifically asked how many jalapeño poppers I would receive for over $5, and was told 8. So I ordered them! We ended up getting our meals before the appetizer, and then when Makenzie the waiter brought them out she stated "I dont know why these came out after but here ya go" and never noticed our two empty waters. We sat there for over 5 minutes trying to eat hot meals, with no drinks. Makenzie then never checked on us until AFTER I had requested to talk to a manager. Never once was I asked if everything alright. After the manager came out, she promptly took the uneaten 6 poppers, and my entire plate of food away from me leaving me to sit at a table with my partner eating. While I had nothing. I will NEVER step foot back in there again! Manager didnt give any sort of real apology, and frankly, looked like she had a corn cob stuck up her ass. VERY disappointed since we were told it was a great burger place, terrible service, salty ass food, and way overpriced appetizers! Will NOT be seeing us again!

I dont mean to rate the the staff specifically bad for service in terms of service, but more towards a matter of policy. Their food is awesome and i love stopping there after every ski trip. But what gets me is their deep fried mushrooms. I love their mushrooms but i am always forced to choose between getting a burger or just get the mushrooms. I would love to order both, but the portions given are ridiculously huge. When i asked if they could just give me a half order and charge me 5 dollars, they said they just could not do it because the everything is portioned a specific way. I really dont understand how hard is it to take exactly half out and just fry half of what you normally serve. if theres 10 mushrooms, give me 5. I would love to order both, but i do not wish to waste food and these things dont store very well. I would just like to have an option to have a smaller appetizer. overall, this place is still awesome.
