I absolutely love the cupcakes here. I never used to eat cupcake since they tend to lack flavor, texture and most of the time too sweet. These cupcakes are the best I ever had. I found them because I was looking to have cupcakes for my wedding base on wedding planning reviews of using cupcakes instead of a traditional cake. I tasted many before I decided on Love at First Bite and I have to tell you it was a "Big Hit" at my wedding. Everyone still talk about the great cupcakes to this day. I love the mud pie and the red velvet best and so did my husband. For the bride and groom cupcakes I chose the red velvet and he chose mud pie. It was just so beautiful. Their service was great. We got the cupcakes at the time we wanted delivered. They do offer cupcake set up for an additional charge but my friend volunteered to display them. Everything turned beautifully! If you havent try their cupcakes I highly suggest you give it a chance.

Un-friggin-believable!!! Hands down one of the best cupcakes Ive ever had. I know this is a very bold statement with the likes of Karas, Sibbys, and Cupkate as competition, but these are some of the best and original recipes Ive ever had. We had Love At First Bite cater our meeting and it was a hit! Ive never seen so many unique flavors and combinations. My personal favorites were matcha green tea and lemon kiss. Sadly we didnt have any milk, but that didnt matter because the cupcakes were moist enough on their own. Each bite was a burst of ecstasy for my deprived mouth...it was like Love at First Bite. Ha! :)

Tucked in an alley around the corner from the original Peets Coffee, youll find Love at First Bite. Ive worked with them on a few weddings and I ordered from them for my birthday in April. Definitely the red velvet and cookies and cream are guaranteed to make your mouth dance in delight! The green tea cupcake and pistachio cupcakes are on the novel side of the spectrum and are good but if you are ordering for a party the first two are sure to be the most popular. The prices are average, about $3-3.50 for a full size cupcake. You can pick up cute party supplies, confections and toppers here too.

For her birthday my daughter ordered a two layer vegan chocolate cake with chocolate icing. It merited 10 out of 10 on taste, appearance, texture and beauty of decoration and satisfied 20 people with 1 slender slice per person., . The cocoanut butter (?) vegan icing was marvelous; I think non vegans would choose it over regular buttercream if they knew how good it is. This was a memorable cake. I initially helped select a vegan bakery and was given good information and suggestions by the owner. Thank you "Love at First Bite"!

I keep thinking something new is going to replace the cupcake train, but until that happens, Love at First Bite is rocking it out! The Pretty in Pink (strawberry buttercream on strawberry cake) is ridiculously good. Actual fruit blasts in every bite, good crumb, and not too sweet. Definitely coming back to try their matcha green. Located in the Walnut Street nook, which is basically a slice of Carmel-by-the-Sea grafted onto Berkeley.

Love!!! I come here when I have a deep craving for cupcakes. Their black bottom, peanut butter cup, and red velvet are pretty amazing and their cupcakes overall are oh-so-cute. I always come here just for one cupcake, but end up leaving with a flight. Note: theyre not actually on the street, but theyre in the alleyesque complex. Shouldnt be too hard to find though.

not sure how anyone could call these bad... they are simply the most delicious cupcakes ive ever tasted. they have loads of interesting flavors to choose from (i highly recommend the green tea) and even vegan cupcakes! a little pricy, but definitely worth it.

Very very good strawberry cake and chocolate cupcakes. I ordered on the phone and the worker was very lovely and helpful. The strawberry cake was three layers. Very moist and looked perfect and simple like a cake Julia child would have made!

Dry, bland and overpriced. They werent even overloaded with sugar like from supermarket bakeries. They were just...there. I literally didnt finish a red velvet cupcake. That says everything!
