We came here for supper based on the reviews on tripadvisor and were surprised at how different our experience was by comparison to the reviews. Many of the items on their menu were out of stock. The prices were somewhat higher then expected for the quality of the meal we received. My partner got a sandwich that was a half order but at $12. The chips are really chips, not fries. I got a dry sandwich with a slaw with nothing on the slaw. When I asked why there was no dressing on the slaw, the server responded that it was lightly dressed with a vinegrette. They must have waved the bottle over the slaw because there really wasnt anything on it. Go down the street, go anywhere but do not go here.

Crab cakes were good but pricey and it took a long time to get them. Food came on little saucers except the sweet potato fries which were overcooked. We had to ask for silverware and napkins. The place was dark and didnt seem particularly clean and its.never a good sign when you have to shoo flies off your table before you sit down. Dont know what the problem was but the couple next to us left without eating their meal also not a good sign. Food appeared to be prepared mostly Asian/Indian style which isnt really to my taste. Clam chowder is made with bacon which seems to be the norm here. We dont eat red meat so we had to pass on the chowder. We didnt hate it but wont go back either.

Great food and great atmosphere. There was a sign posted asking for patience since they were understaffed but I really didnt notice. The manager was friendly and knowledgeable about the food. My husband had the Brazilian tacos and we highly recommend them. Very good. I had the crazy cranny, which was good, but I would have liked a little more sauce/creaminess. However, thats just personal preference. :) The seafood is really what you go there for. The child had Mac and cheese, which was a small kids portion and was only so-so but better than other places that obviously pulled it out of a $1 box. The garlic fries were tasty and the whole experience was a fun one for a seaside town.

This place was just perfect for our coast trip. We stopped at a cafe not to far from the bistro and had to walk out from lack of service, kids menu, gross sounding dishes and no atmosphere (yeah yeah, picky). The barnacle bistro was a great save for our hungry, grumpy, tired crew. The server was amazing and bright, the inside was pleasent and comfortable. The chef has "got it going on" SD my mother said. They had coloring stuff for the boys, and when we asked for coffee, W were brought fresh, yummy coffee. It was the best way to end our day on the beautiful Oregon coast. We are definitely coming back and recommending this little jewel.

Great Food & Service!! My husband had the Polish Beer Bomb, which he loved. My son and I had the Fresh cod & chips. The sweet potato fries were fresh and the coleslaw was very tasty. My other son had one of the specials - Seafood Lasagna and loved it! I had a bite of it and was impressed. The serving sizes were very generous. My husband really liked the beer selection. The dining room and what I could see of the kitchen was very clean. Our server was great - she had a happy personality and sense of humor and made our visit there all the better! The food was not overpriced for the quality. Great place to go!

We were passing through and had a couple of nights in Gold Beach. We visited Barnacle Bistro courtesy of other Google reviews and were not disappointed. Our first visit was great and the kids, hubby & I enjoyed burgers, crab cakes and fish & chips as well as local brews on tap. John took great care of us and the food was such good value we decided to return on our second night. We were well taken care of once again and would highly recommend the Barnacle Bistro for its great food, wonderful service and awesome music!

Great fish and chips. This guy (the owner - Evan) knows food. I had a little bit of a problem when they first opened, a service issue, but I gave the place another try. There doesnt seem to be many places in Gold Beach to get good fish and chips -- the beer battered kind that is. So I gave this another try and Im all too happy to say...ITS AWESOME! The way beer battered halibut and cod should be done. Not too greasy, crispy beer batter and tender, juicy, done just right fish accompanied by tasty, seasoned curly fries.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for some dinner. I had the fish and garlic chips. The battered fish was nice and seasoned the garlic french fries were something to remember (fresh garlic!). She enjoyed the steamed clams, cooked nicely served in a bowl with a nummy white wine and garlic sauce with toasted sourdough bread on the side. Service was great, price was good, we would stop in again should we come through town.

Pass thru yearly and always stop for the best Fish & Chips in the USA. We travel both Coasts yearly and at no price have we found Fish with such a melt in your mouth batter texture and the tarter sauce is one of a kind. Service is great and prices reasonable. Wish we has someone in Scottsdale, Arizona who could cook Fish & Chips this well. Yummy!! Hurry up...pop in if you are passing thru or live close by.

I went there after not having done so since they opened. I found their food not to my liking then nor recently. This time I had a salad that was drowning in dressing. I could have soaked up the rather tasteless dressing with bread if I had gotten any with an on the small side salad. It was a huge disappointment for an over the top price. Save your money and try another of our good resturants.

Garlic fries were the perfect amount of garlic. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was meaty but the batter was a bit too thin. My girlfriend ordered the honey mustard burger but it seemed like a regular hamburger so she asked for the sauce. It was still good. Service was outstanding, personal and welcoming. We will bookmark this spot if we drive by again.

Ive been coming to Barnacle Bistro for several years now, and have always been served a great meal.. The Bistro is always serving fresh and tasty food, and the attitude of those working there has always been upbeat and cheery! We always invite visiting friends to join us for lunch at the Bistro as we know theyll always have a memorable experience.

3 employees working and terrible service. The food was not worth the wait and when we asked the server to bring some more ketchup, he took our empty bottle and never came back. It was an unorganized chaotic mess. When we left, they were hanging a sign saying closed because they were out of food. Ill skip this next time around.

We ate here for lunch. My husband ordered the chowder, which was exceptional, and a fresh, green salad with Caribbean dressing. My hamburger was tasty and grilled perfectly. I am going to have to figure out how to make the ginger coleslaw. Dont skip the French fries. Great beer selection. Have I persuaded you yet? This is a gem.
