Today was a rough day. After work my mom and I went out to lunch at American table in Oregon. During lunch Landon started to cry because he was hungry so I went to the bathroom to breastfeed him. When going into the bathroom I saw a wet floor sign between the men and womens bathroom in the little hallway. I walked into the bathroom and instantly slipped and fell on the floor. I wrapped my arm around the back of Landons neck to brace him for impact. He instantly started to cry and his hair was wet so I couldnt tell if he had bounced his head on the floor or not. I stood up and slipped my way into the stall. After he fed for a few minutes he started to fall asleep and I couldnt tell if he had a concussion. The floor was completely covered in soap, not water and so I slipped my way back out into the dining room. I told my mom what happened and she told me I should tell the waitress so no one else Falls. I told the waitress what happened and that the floor was covered in soap not just water and she went to get the owner. The whole time I was examining Landons head and trying to see if he had a bump or not. The owner came out and told me I should have noticed the wet floor sign and accidents happen he never once asked me if Landon was ok. He also said "did you really want to go across the Street?" Meaning st. Charles Hospital. at this point I just told him I wanted my bill and we were leaving right now. So the owner stands there as I grab my gift card and throw it on the bill and then he takes the bill and crumpled it up. At this point I didnt care about the bill so we went over to st. Charles and had him checked out. Hes okay I am sore but Im an adult so Ill be fine. But the owner couldnt have cared less that I fell with my three month old. I went back to tip our waitress because this had nothing to do with her and mentioned reading about a girl who got fired there over her appearance its funny everyone knew exactly who I was talking about and didnt say a word I questioned her story before but I dont anymore. For being family owned what a piss poor owner at best. Just so everyone knows american table has now blocked me from tagging them on facebook. I heard a word from them.

I was extremely disappointed in my last visit to American Table. You go into an establishment like this expecting the Mom and Pop diner feel and in fact it is the exact opposite. The host was rude as soon as we walked in the door. She shoved menus into my hand and told me "up the stairs". When I looked at her in disbelief she again in a louder tone stated "up the stairs". So I take the menus and seat myself. The server comes over. Poors me coffee. Says nothing else. Looks at my husband and says "what do you want to drink" he says "coffee" she then rolls her eyes, Im guessing because he didnt have his mug turned over. Asks us "what do you want to eat" we order a skillet and she snatches our menus and is asking what kind of bread I want as shes walking away. Just felt super uncomfortable. Definitely wont be back to be treated like that. Completely disrespectful and ridiculous.

Great value for the money. Portions are huge. Sanitation is awful. On our last visit, the bus person was observed several times clearing tables, using his bare hands on dishes and inside of glasses and cups, then going directly to the set up station where he proceeded to set napkins and silverware on the tables using his unwashed hands and touching the eating parts of the silverware to set the tables. Never should the eating parts of the silverware be touched!

Terrible place. Awful service. Poor sanitation. Poor hygiene of employees (smelled like straight cigarette smokes. Made me want to cough!!). The good isnt that great. We have tried to eat here on occasion and we just cant stomach it. Bathrooms are nasty. Plus there are a lot of stories about them treating employees and customers bad that has been going around town. Not surprising... Just avoid this place and go ANYWHERE else. Save your money.

Waited for 50 min and never had our food brought to us. Took 10 min for someone to come and take drink order. Then 15 more to get drinks brought to us. Should have realized that they are not capable of getting food made in an appropriate amount of time. They told us that our food would be right out 15 min later still wasnt out. So after all that time we left. Still never had our side salad yet which was going to be out before our food.

Oh no you didnt make me wait 45 minutes to have the waitress tell me our order had not been entered into the computer. The four tables around us all had complaints like missing food, wrong orders, no silverware, and cold food. I would never go back...this is definently no Cafe Maries. Save your money and drive past the east side to somewhere nicer. That is all.

We enjoy this place mostly because its family friendly. American Table has great fresh tasting food, large portions (you can usually take half home for another meal) and reasonable prices. There is rarely a long wait and the staff treat you great every time. We almost always take our out of town guests here and they have always seemed to enjoy themselves.

I would give it 41/2 Stars. Star Diner was our diner of choice for many years but, they continued to go downhill by cutting quality and serving smaller portions. We decided to try American Table (Oregon, Oh) and we loved it. The portions are big and the food is consistently very good. We go there at least twice a week. Their menu is huge!

We went in Sunday morning at 11. Got seated in less than 5 minutes!!! We thought we would be waiting awhile but that wasnt the case at all. The staff was very friendly and prompt. I seriously could not believe the size of portions you get!!! So. Much. Food. And all fresh! We will definately be back even though its across town!

This place is ok and does have good food a little pricey but overall not bad but the one big problem with this place is they close very early and if u get a nice waitress awesome but if u get one of there rude ones well there goes a lot of money down the drain thats why me and my wife only give them 3 stars

The food there is very good especially breakfast food. There are large portions as well.. the only thing that sucked for me was there are no booth seating just tables and chairs basically, but other than that the waitresses are really nice and the food is fairly cheap so I will go back there again!

Great place. We were looking for a breakfast stop while traveling and found this place. Our waitress was fantastic. Quick, discreet service and great food. In and out in less than 45 min and an excellent breakfast. This will be our go to stop while traveling in the Oregon area.

Large serving portions and an affordable, extensive menu were unfortunately coupled with poor service. I asked twice for silverware, the food took a while to reach our table, and the cashier certainly wasnt people friendly by any means.
