I found it hard to know how to rate this place. I could have gone with 5 stars as well as 3, so I picked 4. Heres the deal... Let me start with reasons for 5 stars. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. The cooking area is impeccably clean (maybe the cleanest Ive ever seen at a Greek restaurant like this). The food was well seasoned. The staff was very friendly. Now let me explain 3 stars. From the descriptions I had read and from seeing the menu online I "assumed" this was a sit down table service restaurant. Its not. In fact, its hard to spot, tucked into the corner of a two-story multi-day building. You order at a counter and pick up your food at a window. They have no fountain drinks, only cans and bottles. While the gyro meat was tasty it was not hot. Hardly even warm. I paid for extra tzatziki sauce but I got very little. So I would say that if you come with the right expectations it would be great. For "Greek fast food" it was very good (just heat the gyro meat a little more). :-)

I currently had my first visit at The Big Greek Cafe, and it was not disappointing. I have clearly been introduced to horrible versions of a gyro, but the owner generously allowed me to sample the food before making a decision. The service was friendly and the food is SPECTACULAR. They only serve bottled and canned sodas, so I would have appreciated fountain drinks.

We were passing through the area on our way from Chicago to Lexington and found this place on Yelp. We were immediately impressed with how clean it looked and how friendly the owner is. We had the falafel, salad, and peppers stuffed with meat and rice. All were very fresh, authentic, and delicious. We are sorry this place is not closer to home!!

Stopped in to try something different than the fast food and was delightfully impressed. Having not eaten there before, I ordered my gyro with extra meat. Whoah! Definitely generous portions, no need for the extra. Clean, well lit restaurant and very friendly owner running the counter.

OMG it is the best food in town! Servings are HUGE and I always end up bringing half home for dinner :0) And the greek fries are the best with feta cheese crumbled on them....yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
