I normally dont complain, but tonight my family went to Sunset Harbor Bar And Grill Fair port. My dad was super excited to try it, since the view of the water was awesome. Well, that was about the only good thing about the place. We wanted to sit outside, but they informed us they werent putting out any umbrellas today, so since we had the baby, we decided to sit inside. We were lucky enough to sit right by the kitchen. My dad and I witnessed the waiters taking handfuls of fries from a bowl for plates of food. They brought my food out 30 minutes before every one elses. Finally, when every one elses food came out, my dad took a bite of his burger and it was rare. So he asked a waitress to send it back. I heard the cook complain about how it was medium well and my dad was an idiot. So they took the burger that my dad took a bite of, wiped off the ketchup, threw it back on the grill for a minute and brought it back out. Super sanitary if you ask me. And it was still rare. Needless to say, its a shame how terrible this place is considering the amazing view.

This was possibly the absolute worst meal we ever have eaten in a restaurant. Food was tasteless, expensive with an arrogant chef who refused to deviate from the "picnic" menu. Beware, this is Salmonella central. We were a party of 10 and most of us ordered burgers which arrived tasteless and totally undercooked. Macaroni salad was like eating toothpaste. I had to avail myself of the washrooms which had me walk past the "kitchen" where the chef and his minions were verbally abusing each other in front of customers like me. If he wasnt so rude and disgusting I was going to ask him if he ever tastes the food he is serving. Even the waitress knew how awful everything was and never asked us "How is everything" She knew what the answer would be. Horrible, disgusting place. Oh and by the way all of us were up all night sick to our stomachs after eating here. DONT GO HERE EVER.

What an unfortunately awful experience! No one acknowledged our table after we had been seated for 20 minutes. After finally getting our order of lobster and margharita flatbread, I would have rather just stuck to drinking out of their ridiculous red solo cups (plastic by the lake? Is that really a smart idea?). Both flatbreads were flavorless, soggy, and cold. Our waitress did not bother to return for our payment after our checks sat for another 20 minutes, and when we finally personally took our checks in ourselves, the staff member rolled her eyes as if this is something that happens quite often. No apology or offer to discount our meal. Frankly terrible service. We were there for almost two hours just for one drink and lousy flatbread. Do not bother!

Showed up. It was packed! The wait wasnt terrible. Even though it was 15 mins over what I was told beforehand. It was the fact, once seated. Nooooooo one came over to ask my girlfriend and I if we needed drinks, been waited on, or that they were busy and it might be a bit before we could order. In short, we waited 20 mins at our table. While we watched every single server and hostesses walking by us while waiting on partys of 4 or more. My suggestion. Go alone sit at the bar. Or make sure you bring 5 or more people. You seem to get better service that route.

Located directly on the shore of Lake Erie in Fairport Harbour, Sunset Harbor provides a prime view, interesting and flavorful food, and small town soul. I really enjoyed my portabella mushroom burger with mozzarella cheese and marinated in balsamic vinaigrette. We sat in the bar/outside patio area with a view of the lake, which was a fabulous experience. Sunset Harbor has a diverse, gourmet menu, you are sure to find something new that youve never eaten before. Combined with a fantastic view and local charm, I will surely return.

The views are spectacular but the bar area is pretty small and its tough to find a seat. No worries...you can sit on the break wall and enjoy your beer or cocktail. Parking is even harder to score...on the weekends youll need to plan to drive up the hill to find a spot with a short walk to the bar (remember, youve got to walk up that same hill to get to your car). We ordered a couple appetizers: mussels and cajun shrimp. Both the taste and portions were good.

Terrible! Id Ive zero stars but it wasnt an option. My boyfriend and I were told the wait would be 15 minutes, which was fine. But we ended up waiting 30 minutes. Finally got seated and sat for TWENTY minutes with no service whatsoever. We sat there and watched probably every server there walk back and forth multiple times and pass us by.....we will not be coming back.

Love sunset all the food is amazing and all the staff are extremely nice! If you havent been there you should definitely go! And if you have then come back again and enjoy amazing food with an awesome staff and a great view of the lake and the sunsets are always beautiful as well!

Went here on a locals recommendation and it far exceeded expectations. Are outside on the picnic tables right on lake Erie. I had the burger with the egg and peanut butter and every ingredient on the burger was perfection. Lobster bisque soup and shrimp also top notch.

Valerie is the BEST!!!!! She needs a raise! All other waitresses blew us off around kithen closing. She was more than happy to help!! Definitely a keeper. Amazing setvice from her. Will be back solely because of Valerie!!!!

The food was pretty good. Service was excellent! There is a really bad bee problem. There were bees everywhere outside. It seems they are not doing anything to try to get rid of the nests, they just put sugar traps out.

Probably the worst meal in a long time. Pulled pork tasted fishy and was luke warm. Expensive for the portions and quality. If it werent for the views this place would not do well I suspect. Wait staff was erratic.

Crappy service. Food was not cooked fully. Could hear cooks swearing and yelling. Food is way over priced. The only thing they have going for them is the view. Definitely not a place Ill go to again with my kids.

Been there many times. Always a good time to be had. Live music an lake erie an beer make for a wonderful time. Service is usely very good. The food is not 5⭐ but is solid an good. Overall a 4⭐ experience

Bar and dining with extended pier and lakefront views. looking at about $4 a beer due to the views. If you dont like seafood dont order any fried food without asking if its cooked in the fish fryer.
