I will be the first to admit that I am a creature of habit. Living downtown Columbus sometimes its difficult for me to choose to go to suburbs or areas that are driving distance away. Friends were together the other night and we went to pick up all of our credentials for the Memorial tournament volunteering efforts and then we chose to do dinner. I had never been to the Dublin Village Tavern until that night. Its such a neat little area and do I say its in old Dublin. The small intimate exterior patio that you see as you walk up is sort cool. And then you walk into what to me felt like an old house or an Old Tavern truly converted to this high energy exciting vibrant attractive environment. Let me tell ya that I was blown away with service. I believe service is the key to beginning a great experience in any establishment. Okay, so you know that I like the service now let me tell you about the Irish drinks/beers and Foods. I tell you that you want that little Irish twist and I thought it was really definitely that Irish vibe. That food and the conversation that we had with the server about the food definitely indicated to me that the servers wanted to do a good job and the servers knew what they were doing with what was on the menu. The presentation of the food was one thing and then you open your mouth and you take that first bite. The food to me was like where did this flavor come from. Id suggest that you just look at the taste. Now I know saying look at the taste doesnt really make sense but when you feel like youre eating a piece of art and you get that excited that is something that doesnt always happen in any given situation. The other night maybe it was that we were all together as a group of friends...maybe it was that our server made us feel like we were in his home...maybe it really was that much of a big shift...who knows but it really was nice. Im not a fan at all I guess of big corporate chain restaurants, bars or establishment. I cherish real true service nd it is one extremely important aspect to my experience. Im a real supporter of local small business entrepreneurs and I know nothing about the business background or the business acumen of those that own and run the Dublin Village Tavern but I would like to because this is one cool place. I dont know about anyone else but I found old Dublin parking to be easy to find and accessible. Now I will tell you that new round-about that is at Route 33 and 161 is a mess. I dont like that but you can get into Old Dublin a lot of different ways. Its well worth the drive from downtown Columbus for those of us who live there and dont necessarily go to the Dublin area to shop. Thanks for a great night those of you that make the Dublin Village Tavern so attractive and inviting because I sure appreciated it.

Typical Irish pub like you would find just about anywhere in the world. Staff was very pleasant. Being from out of town, we asked our server for a place the locals would go for a good breakfast. He had a few suggestions and a few more of the staff stopped by the table and gave their suggestions. Shepards pie and The Irish Dinner Kettle were excellent. I asked where they got the bangers as they were some of the best I have had. They stated they were imported from Ireland. Nice selection of beer. I strayed from my typical Guinness and was not disappointing. (but still had a pint of Guinness for old times sake ;-) )

Enjoy the quaint, rustic, picturesque, old-world atmosphere in beautiful historic downtown Dublin, Ohio, while indulging decadently the Irish, sybaritic foodie in you with a visit to the Dublin Village Tavern! Imbibe a pint of your favorite brew, select from the many wholesome delectable dishes of local and international favorites, or just simply order the best Fish and Chips in town! Regardless, either way, a respite and retreat at this gastronomic gem wont disappoint!

This restaurant is excellent. The cozy atmosphere is complemented with the historic building, friendly wait staff, and the wonderful food. The fish and chips is wonderful- fresh! and the coleslaw is wonderful My husband hates most coleslaw but LOVES DBT. Now whenever we go to a Irish Tavern we always compare to DBT and have yet to find a Tavern in Columbus that even comes close. OH and Jennys icecream is across the street- what a GREAT way to end an awesome meal!

The appetizers were great. Got the fresh pretzel bread and it was soft warm and good. The salmon wontons with chili sauce were great, and my son enjoyed the humus plate. I ordered the fish and chips and I did not really enjoy it. The fries were okay and the fish was heavily battered and fell apart. I would come back for appetizers, but would not order the fish and chips again.

The tavern is one of my favorite food places around town. The fish and chips are absolutely solid, and the Mac and cheese is perfectly baked (most of the time). I have rarely had to wait more than 15 minutes for my food even though its usually busy around lunch time and especially on the weekends. Bottom line, if youre in Dublin, the Tavern should be on your food list.

We went to this cozy spot based on the amazing reviews online. As typical fashion when testing a new place, we asked the wait staff for their recommendation and went with it. The Shepherds Pie was not all I expected. Perhaps we are food snobs, but my shepherds pie needs to be more than bland mashed potatoes to get me interested in coming back.

Would highly recommend. Went there as a party of 4 , had no problems getting seated. The wait staff was very quick and paid close attention to levels of the drinks while we were there. Good was outstanding. Meatloaf and Turkey Rueben ,were our selections. Also tried the Rueben Eggrolls, they were very good!

The food was really good here. The irish atmosphere, the pints. All very good. We visited as a family and as out of towners the staff made us feel welcome, but there were mainly locals as patrons. Their food reviews that are found online are on point. Their chef and cook staff prepare unique and tasty dishes.

Gets the full five due to top notch food and the wonderful historic venue. Cant miss on this one. Smallness is part of the charm. Sit outside on a warm summer night and enjoy Dublin. Get a bartender to tell you the history of the building and you will understand why this place is worth the stop.

You might have to be far more into fancy beer or "pub food" than I am to really enjoy this place. The atmosphere its supposed to feel historic but just feels very cramped and odd to me, the food was just OK and the beer was...beer. Nothing that has drawn me back for another visit.
