Although we had fun, and the food was good, we were delayed waiting for two people who were over one hour late from boarding time (the ship should have left without them - their delay caused us to lose cruise time). The atmosphere was also a bit disturbing and needs to change. Once seated, there was music playing throughout the ship... and as an example: one selection was "Big Ole Butt" - which really didnt fit with the dinner cruise theme I was expecting - I thought this would be a little bit classier for the amount we paid and what their website presented. There were MANY inappropriate songs playing during dinner - although we laughed at them being played, it set the wrong tone for a cruise like this. The dress code is NOT ENFORCED. I think they would let you board in a g-string and a sports bra... a bit disappointing that our family got all dressed up (their website says business casual, no shorts or jeans), but they let everyone board. I swear there was a group of prostitutes sitting across from us - wearing lycra dresses with chests and butts hanging out. Nothing classy at all about the cruise. A bit disappointed for the money.

This was my second time on The Nautica Queen. My daughter took me a couple of years ago for my birthday and this past birthday of mine I received two tickets to take my fiance for a ride. We went for Sunday brunch and everything was marvelous. The food was delicious. We at first got a table that we had to share with another couple, but my fiance asked for some privacy and our table was exchanged for a two seater. I believe there are only a few two seater tables, so if you want to sit alone, ask for one ahead of time. The ride was great, the boat was clean, and the food was fantastic and the DJ played nice music from the past that we could relate to. We will certainly go back again and this time for the ghost trip. Extra costs...Be prepared to pay $5.00 for parking. Coffee, oj, and ice tea are free, but anything else you order from the bar is extra. Also before you get on the boat, they take a picture of you and if you want that picture, it costs $20. You get two larger ones and two wallet size. Overall, we had a great time.

Rode the Nautica Queen for the first time Sept 4th on a family vacation to Cleveland and what a NIGHTMARE!! The waves were very high and it felt like we were on a roller coaster. The boat tilted from side to side and people were falling on top of each other--not to mention that a couple of people got sick from the excessive motion!! And we docked at the port 30 minutes late. I would have been satisfied if they would have rescheduled for another day when the wind was calmer. Now onto the actual cruise...After frequently riding the Spirit of Norfolk cruises in Virgina, my expectations were high. Considering this was a dinner cruise and people were dressed in suits and dresses, I expected the wait staff to be dressed accordingly. But they were dressed in blue shirts and black pants that seemed like hadnt been washed in days. The boat was old and not clean; the food was so so. The boat had 300 passengers and it was obvious they were understaffed. I would not recommend this cruise to anyone--try the Goodtimes III instead!

After reading some of your reviews AFTER I had already purchased tickets, we were a bit leary that we would not have a great experience. We were wrong. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the food was very good and HOT. There was plenty of it and the desert (key lime cheesecake) was superb. Our waitress was very attentive, our drinks were always filled, the alcoholic drinks were not watered down and were good as well. Sure the boat is old, but it doesnt advertise to be a brand new boat, therefore, you should not expect it. It was clean, and the upper deck was freshly painted, table and chairs were clean and our wait staff followed us to the upper deck for drink orders. The view was amazing, the sunset great and the waters clean, no debris or anything gross floating around. We truly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this trip to anyone.

AMAZING! i was afraid with the bad reviews that i would not like the cruise but they must have updated the boat and employment since those people rode the nautica. Service is awesome! Waitress comes and checks on you consistently, and if you leave your table to go to the upper deck, dance, etc she will find you and make sure she can get you what you need. The atmosphere was great, DJ played upbeat music that kept the mood light. (i rode during the Thursday Dancing through the Decades cruise) Food is buffet style and of great quality! They served chicken, beef, and salmon, with cheesecake for dessert:) The ride around the shoreline was very smooth for a cruise ship. Dont expect the boat not to rock slightly..ITS A BOAT. Overall this is a great place to take someone on a date, birthday or special event. Definitely will return on future occasions

A great and unique way to experience a dinner date! The Captain, Crew, and the Caterers were all at the top of their game! Very professional, and accommodating, and the atmosphere light and friendly. The cruise was very pleasant and relaxing, and the meal was very good. My date and I both enjoyed the experience immensely! This was the first time Ive experienced the Nautica Queen, and definitely not the last! This is definitely worth a repeat performance!!!

I am giving it a 4 instead of 5 because the lunch menu was horrible! Crisp dry fried chicken watery stuffed cabbage, terrible mac & cheese, and just about to expire salad. This was our family reunion cruise. So we were happy to be together and truly enjoyed the cruise. The wait staff were very attentive and we really appreciated that. Our tour guide and the music was very good. Will go again for a dinner cruise where I am told the food is much better!

Went on a charter cruise with my church. The first floor was an oven. My party sweated for at least 2 hours. The manager said the heat was due to the food being kept hot. It had to be at least 85 degrees in that room for 2 hours. It did not cool off until a half an hour before the cruise ended. The food was so-so and only beer and wine were served. It was not a good experience for us. I will not be going any time soon.

John was my server and he was awesome! Very friendly, very attentive, and very knowledgeable! My fiance and I really enjoyed the Nautica Queen. Only problem was the buffet style order they served everyone. By the time it was time for my table to go we were all starving. Also the ship is a little dated but its a part of the wonderful history of Cleveland. I look forward to returning!

Took a cruise down the Cuyahoga river and out on Lake Erie. We went on a wine tasting night and received a free glass to sample. The food was OK, nothing too fancy. The boat is older, but still a lot of fun. There is music playing and seeing the city lights at night add for great atmosphere. It was a nice cruise and would recommend it.
