We had a group of 20+ go there for a Sunday brunch. This was the tail end of a 50th anniversary wedding for our parents. Thought this place would be a great place to relax. WRONG. They knew we were coming and only one server, who happened to be the bartender, took our food and drink orders then never came back. Not once did anyone come by to see if we needed anything. If they would have they would have seen most of us had empty glasses (could have used more drink), some wanted coffee, others didnt even receive their food. But since nobody came at all to check on us we were on our own. Since the gratuity for parties is already included there was obviously no need to have a server. The tables didnt have salt or pepper shakers. I asked the hostess. She said she wasnt my server and I told her we dont have a server. I then asked another server for them. They said they would bring them by but then never did. THEN when most people were fitting up (except for the two that never got their food), the bartender brought by A pepper shaker and said that all of the salts were taken. SOOOO in a classy way I yelled all the way down the tables in our group to see if anyone needed/wanted the one pepper shaker and that salt was not available at the moment. Awhile later another server came by with one full set of salt and pepper. No bussing of any kind, no asking about after dinner desserts or drinks, nothing. Absolutely nothing. Then when the hostess was asked to get the manager, she wouldnt. She said i would have to talk with the server!!!! AND WHAT SERVER IS THAT. TO TOP EVERYTHING OFF, I LIVE OVERSEAS, GOT BACK AND SAW THE RESTAURANT CHARGED ME DOUBLE. WAS THIS A MISTAKE ON THEIR PART? I WOULD LIKE TO THINK SO BUT I AM ASKING MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO REALLY FIND THIS OUT. IN THE TIP SPOT ON THE CREDIT CARD RECEIPT I PUT ABSOLUTELY NOT IN THERE (EVEN THOUGH KNOWING THAT IT WAS INCLUDED I WANTED THEM TO KNOW HOW TERRIBLE THINGS WERE). SO, DID THE SERVER WHO SAW THAT PURPOSEFULLY ENTER IT IN AS 288.00 INSTEAD OF THE BILL WHICH WAS 144.00? THERE WERE TWO OF US WHO SPLIT THE BILL BUT HIS AMEX WAS CHARGED, I HAVE A COPY OF HIS RECEIPT FOR THE 144.00 SO WHY MINE WAS CHARGED 288.00 WHEN MY COPY IN FRONT OF ME CLEARLY INDICATES 144.00 WITH MY SIGNATURE, QUESTIONS ARISE. IF THEY DID CHARGE IT WRONGFULLY ON PURPOSE I WOULD SAY THAT IT IS MORE OF A CRIMINAL ISSUE THEN. WE WILL WAIT FOR THE INVESTIGATION BY THE CC TO DETERMINE THIS.

Ive been bar-hopping in the area multiple times, and Market Garden is without a doubt my favorite brewpub in Ohio City: the space is large, the atmosphere is shadowy yet somehow inviting, and the prices are reasonable. Most importantly though, the beer is sublime: with a stunningly diverse menu and multiple rotating seasonal choices, theres something for everyone here. Furthermore, the various types of beer remain true to their stylistic guidelines, unlike at some other American brewpubs where regardless of whether you order a maertzen or a Koelsch or a pale ale you invariably find yourself served a hop cone in a glass. (At the same time, Market Gardens beers have just the faintest touch of what could be termed a "charming, personalized homebrew" quality about them, something that cannot be said about the beer at Great Lakes brewery, which comes across as homogenized and over-refined by comparison.) Admittedly, the one thing I havent done at Market Garden is order food, so I cant speak to the quality of their kitchen. However, the opportunity to experience heaven in a glass easily makes Market Garden worth a visit!

I always give restaurants the benefit of the doubt when it comes to service... maybe someone was a no-call no-show, maybe they are just understaffed, etc, but the service this day was pretty bad regardless. It took roughly 15 minutes from the time we sat down to the time someone came up and asked if wed been helped yet, it took another 15-20 to get 3 beers, and when we asked 3 times for a side of guacamole they just forgot about the guac and we ate the tacos anyways because they were getting cold. Our chicken sandwiches didnt include all of the ingredients listed (maybe they were out? if so, let us know). The second round of beers took another 20 minutes. I hardly ever review so if someone messes up bad enough to warrant a review from me, they screwed something up. The only thing they had going for them that night was the fact that the beer was very good. Ill give em another star for that.

We just held a wedding "welcome" dinner at Market Garden Brewery in the Ohio Room and it was an AMAZING event! Mike Berkowitz was fantastic to work with from the planning phase to the event day. He was so flexible, accommodating, understanding to the stressors of the grooms parents, and all the while, he never seemed to get ruffled, upset, or short with us when we changed something. He made sure the evening ran smoothly, and the staff was equally as excellent! Super Customer Service aside, the food was remarkable. Our guest just gushed about the pork tenderloin, and salmon, and smoked turkey. And the craft beers just topped off the menu! The environment in the Ohio Room was perfect for our 95 guests. Everyone moved around with ease, and hated when it was time to go!! Again, great job by Mike and his crew for helping us kick off our wedding weekend in an amazing way!

If you like great bear and great pub food then look no further you have found your little slice of paradise. This place most definitely deserves to have a 30 out of 30 rating here. For appetizers try to duck sliders, they melt in your mouth and are great and can be paired with some spicy tortilla soup. For the main course try one of their burgers, I got the Ohio beef burger, and it was by far one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. And if you are looking for beer you have come to the right place. Their selection is fantastic and I can say that every single microbrew I have tried here is by far better than anywhere else in Cleveland. Where else can you find the same selection of beer and fantastic gastropub food? No where, at least not in the Cleveland area, so go do yourself a favor and try this place out you wont regret it.

Very nice place with a cool vibe and good food. Lots of rich wood without giving up the casual atmosphere and clever details like the "Guardians of Traffic" tap handles. In addition to their own brews, they offer a dozen or so other local brews, such as Troegs or Thirsty Dog, and another dozen locally-distilled spirits, such as OYO or Buckeye Vodka. The prices seemed a couple of bucks high, $7 for a pint of beer or a shot, $11 for sandwiches, $15 and up for entrees, but I understand that good food (and beer) doesnt come cheap. On the weeknight I visited there were plenty of servers and bartenders to keep things moving, and they were very accommodating of several large groups, as its the height of "work party" season.

Held a corporate event for 40 people, and even though they knew we were coming, they had two servers on our table and the food came out in lapses. One group would get their food, while others sat and waited for hours. They ran out of a certain food that three people had ordered, and they never bothered to come back and tell them! Wait staff just kept saying "they would check on it" they never ate! Manager refunded their meals but that did not make up for the slow service, cold food and the inability to handle a group of that size. The next day, I left a VM for the GM and I am still waiting for that call back. Poor customer service ALL THE WAY around! Pick another place!
