Mad Stone is a gorgeous restaurant that elevates the neighborhood surrounding it. On first arrival I was impressed with the obviously artisan crafted iron and stonework outside. The interior lives up to the high standard set by the exterior. The bar area and 1st dining room are sumptiously wood paneled, decorated with beautiful murals, and floored with intersting tiles. The back dining room is a bit odd, brightly lit and set up in a style remiscent of a 20s era cafeteria, flanked by an interior Bocce Ball court. The wine and beer lists are quite impressive, and the menu, though quite small, is well executed. Prices are quite a bit lower than one would expect is such surroundings. I would reccomend the Mussels, a fellow diner raved about the Ovenbaked Brie, and the bowl of assorted pickles offerred gratis were exceptional. The star of our meal was the Burger, honestly the best I have ever had in a restaurant. At 12 oz. it was absolutely huge, came with a choice of gourmet toppings, and was cooked to temperature. We chose blue cheese and sauteed onions grilled medium rare, and my dining companion insisted that the quality of the beef was such that the addition of further condiments would only detract. At $8 this sandwich is a bargain that cannot be beat. Service was friendly and executed with flair. Drinks on the stone patio after dinner by the unique firepit with chimney made this visit an exceptionally memorable experience. According to our server the proprietor, who also owns the Treehouse in Tremont, has plans to add a Bed and Breakfast, a Wine Bar, and a Martini/Cigar Lounge on adjoining pieces of property. Treat yourself!

My daughter and I stopped by this charming restaurant and couldnt get over the attention to detail by this restaurant, and then to learn that so much of the wood, glass lighting and ironwork were done by local talent! You have to see the downstairs mosaic work...wow! And the celtic gates! Its a feast not only for the eyes. Our server was attentive and helpful with choices, the entrees were served piping hot, fresh from the kitchen...even though we were dining outside. I had a great chicken dish with an artichoke cream sauce paired with orzo in a balsamic vinaigrette tossed with cool tomatoes, basil, red onion.....a great pairing and so tasty. My daughter had probably the best burger we have had in this town, and no french fries here....a heaping plate of hash browns....ooh so good, and such a nice change! They have this fountain on their patio like nothing I have seen, the owner was happy to stop by and tell us the story of how it is modeled after one in Ireland.

Definitely some of the most delicious food that weve had. The Brusselsprout pizza was delicious as was the chef special sandwich and soup that day. However, they must have been understaffed that night because our lunch took 2 hours and it was about an hour from the time we ordered until we actually got our appetizer/order. The pizza was also missing some ingredients it was supposed to come with. For the price I expected a little better from the food, service, and drinks. Again, maybe just not the best day and the patio was blazing hot for the servers. We will be back though because its definitely worth the experience!

The bar is beautiful and the service is wonderful!!! Denise is an amazing server with a great laugh, you cant get better company. Robert pours a great drink and is down to earth. Eileen (one of the owners) is so personable and has a sweet helpful demeanor, and my gosh can the woman decorate. You cant go wrong especially if youre from out of state like us. This place and its people are a prime example of the people in the Midwest being kind and awesome. If you want Cleveland, you found it.

I was in Cleveland for the RNC and decided to find a good place for lunch outside of the main convention area. My friend brought me to Stone Mad Pub and I had a fantastic meal! We sat on the outside patio which was made completely of stone. I had one of the best burgers of my life - the Black and Blue Burger along with a Black & Tan. Our server was Nina who was absolutely charming and offered exceptional service. A great dining experience overall - Highly recommended!!

A trip to Ireland right here in Cle !!!! No place like this, all the stone and artwork are beyond incredible !!!! Everything thing is unique and the food is delicious!!! My favorite appetizers are the chicken paprika dip with the two big soft pretzels, and the soups. I had the 4 cheese penne pasta for my main course.Wow It was sooooo good !!!! The people who work there are friendly and helpful......Already want to go back !!!!!

Cool patio. A little pricey. On relatively dead Sunday night, the hostess told us we could not sit at a certain table because it was "reserved for larger groups." There were two tables like the one we wanted to sit at. No one ever sat at those tables the entire time we dined, but we werent allowed to sit there. It was ridiculous. The funny thing is, they had four place settings just like the table in which we were seated.

Dont support this business. Owner of this bar also owns Shamrock Carriages which is and has been in the past the subject of animal abuse cases due to their poor treatment of their horses. Now currently being investigated by the CPD Mounted Unit. Here is a photo of carriage horse, Fredo at his "stables"; underweight, living in a dark warehouse downtown.

Great food. The lobster mac and cheese is great. Same goes for the burger and every desert on the menu. Great beers and an awesome patio in the summer time. Theres a fireplace thats probably the best in Cleveland. Highly recommend this place for lunch, dinner, or just hanging out for a few drinks.

Im from Michigan, so it was great they had my favorite local beer on tap. Also their burgers are massive (13oz), and their patio complete with fireplace was really nice. The staff was super friendly, and ticket times were short. Would definitely return next time I ride through Ohio.

Food is great, decor is good, beer selection is great. Only problem I had is with one of the bartenders, Jay. He was so damn sexy I couldnt keep my eyes off him. I kept missing my mouth on the bottle because I was too focused on that sexy stud. I only go back to see him!

Just ok. The decor was great. Definitely sit outside if you can. Good drink selection but on the high end for pricing. Food was good. I got the brisket and was happy. The burgers looked pretty good too. Wings looked bland. Not was inherently bad, just wasnt blown away.

I cant believe this little gem, it is a great place to go, especially when it is nice out. The food is great and the cheesecake is flown in from NY, you cant beat it. While you are there, the downstairs bathroom is also a must see - weird but true.

Beautiful decor inside and out. However, theres something about it that makes it cold. Maybe because of all the hard surfaces it needs some fabric or greenery. And I dont mind at all that it doesnt have a fryer. It can also be a bit pricey.
