My wife and I are big fans of Sushi. had a stop over in Cincinnati so we checked in at the hotel and then walked across the street to get some Sushi. being very aware of how sushis preparation, freshness and taste varies from town, city, state and even country. We always try to go in with high hopes. Tokyo Japanese Restaurant we give 4 stars. Its a nice place, what you would expect, Service was good everyone was nice and friendly we did go in at 1:30pm so its was not busy. The Sushi was all fresh and tasted great. We had 2 orders Maguro(tuna), 1 California roll,1 order Tako(octopus),1 order Unagi (fresh water eel) and two Spicy tuna Hand-rolls and 2 beers. everything was average or what you expect it to be with the exception of the hand roll.It was not the classic delicious Spicy Tuna Hand-roll you get at 80% of really good restaurants. It was crunchy with little favor. If youve ever had a good one with Alfalfa spouts and cucumber this is not that kind of roll.Other then that Not a bad place. We paid $48.10 plus tip. We would go back.

We actually came here because another restaurant we were going to had a 2 hour wait. The food was absolutely delicious. Not a single other person in the restaurant- we had one on one experience with the grill, and the waitress. Food was expensive but absolutely worth it. We ordered two servings of the Nasty Nati sushi rolls- probably the best sushi I have ever had in my life. They were big, flavorful, and and had amazing texture (a crispness in the center that was a pleasant surprise). I ordered lobster and shrimp at the hibachi- the hibachi chef was funny, friendly, and overall pleasant to be around. The food was grilled amazingly and the atmosphere was worth it. I am writing this while still at the restaurant because it was so good. Definitely try it!

What a gem. Had Spicy Tuna roll and Chicken Pad Thai, work partner had General Tso Chicken. Sushi was tasty but average tuna roll. Pad Thai was exemplary. Spicy Sweet with the highest quality fresh chicken, jalapenos, peppers and perfectly tender noodles. I was sweating and smiling. Portions are large with enough for breakfast tomorrow if I can hold off tonight. The boss/cook came by to see how the food was and presented an individual who takes great pride in her food and efforts. Her team is working hard and she is doing a wonderful job. Ill be back when I come through Cincinnati next time. My partners General Tso was claimed to be the freshest Chinese special plate she has ever eaten.

This place is killer! The all you can eat sushi lunch special for $20.95 is a fantastic deal. The sushi is fresh, and despite not being able to select from the "special rolls" menu, a great selection. Ive never orders from the regular menu, but my mom had the shrimp fried rice and its the best shes ever had. Only $9.97 and they give you a huge portion. Enough for dinner and lunch the next day :) Service is quick. No one has to wait long for their food. The servers are all extremely kind, helpful, and attentive. Theyll answer any questions you may have and even help you personalize the special sushi rolls if you cant find one you like. Truly a gem. You wont be sorry!

Definitely a great restaurant. Friendly owner and very pleasant staff. I would high recommend the Chinese menu over the Japanese menu. The dishes we ordered which were the Three Cup Chicken and the seafood soup. Id say the chicken dish mostly resembles Ga Kho but slightly sweeter in Vietnamese cuisine. Would come back again. Update: The hibachi here probably the best tasting one that my family has had in this area. Im not sure how or why people havent heard of this place. Its amazing! Would be in my Top 10 places to bring friends and family to.

This place is easily missed for its unassuming exterior, but give it a chance and you wont regret it. The all-you-can-eat sushi is well priced at around twenty five per person, and the quality is excellent. The staff was very quick and friendly. The sushi chef was quite skilled and made my order with rapid precision and care. The quality of the fish was good, and better than many other sushi restaurants in the area. Overall it is an excellent choice for sushi in the area, and I will make sure to return often.

I thought the "all you can eat sushi" menu was sparse since it is a limited menu. You must sit at sushi bar even if you gave a kid in high chair which I thought was lame. Our son was anxious sitting so low, starring at wall and waitresses still didnt want to accomodate so we ate quickly and left. I wouldnt say service was great unless you like a little attitude with your Uni. Will not return. For two beers, large sake, veggie tempura and two all you can eat sushi was $91. It wasnt worth it- too much rice!!

Better than expected! The exterior of the building could use some TLC, but the food and staff are excellent. The eggdrop soup was authentic and flavorful. Sushi is half price, but you cannot take any with you when you leave. I dont understand the logic of this policy, as Ive already paid for the food. There is at least 1 hibachi table, and a separate room of standard dining. The standard dining area is small and can feel a little cramped sitting right next to other customers. Staff is very nice.

I have eaten here about 6 times over the last year for lunch with groups of 2 to 8 from work. I havent eaten sushi many places, but theirs is outstanding. Try the spider roll, I usually have a couple! The all you can eat deal is great. We have also done the hibachi a few times, it is also delicious and more than enough food for me (Im a big guy). I usually have the filet and shrimp, I think its about 11 for lunch. The crab rangoon is great too, but I think its called "crab angles".

Tokyo is a great Japanese Restaurant. I have been there on several occasions and enjoyed my experience every time. I would recommend Tokyo to anybody. The service is great and the workers have great people skills. Recommendations: Whit tune tataki Dynamite roll Pink lady Green gentleman Sweet potato roll Avocado roll ---I honestly feel that all of their sushi should be listed, but these are a few of the exquisite kinds of sushi that I have eaten there.

Taste great 12 hours a month! The food is absalutly awesome. However the horrible schedule to get it at a price that is down to earth is silly. Only Thursdays 5pm-8pm is it 1/2 off. Oh. And excludes takeout, that is full price all the time. Throughout the rest of the week. This place is dead. Come in Thursday between 5 and 8 Youll be lucky to get a seat. Wish better management would hire this chef! Unless things change. Ill get my sushi elsewhere

I work right next door and will tell you that I have partaken of the all you can eat sushi many many times! It is always awesome and I always eat too much. But, they have it all and it is all very fresh. Plus the all you can eat is 19.99. I like the tuna, spicy tuna, spider crab and some of the more exotic works of art as well. Enjoy - maybe I will see you there... SJF
