Dusmesh is flat out the best Indian food Ive eaten in the Cincinnati area. Its not that its just slightly better, or that they have some gimmick that makes me want to go here more. The food is vastly superior to all the other Cincinnati options. I was made aware of just how much of an upgrade Dusmesh is to all the other Clifton choices from the moment I pulled into their parking lot. There is ample parking space. You dont have to park on the street and walk a half mile, or fight to fit your car into a postage stamp parking lot. Just park and walk in the door. I showed up on a Saturday night around 5:30, hoping to beat the dinner rush, and had no trouble being seated instantly. I was advised that Dusmesh had a policy of "bring your own beer" so I decided to put that to the test. I pulled out my bottle and my waiter then proceeded to ask me if I would like a frosted glass for that. Impressive, and a great way for me to beat paying for overpriced drinks somewhere else. The service here was fantastic. At most of the other Indian restaurants Ive been to the wait staff seems slightly robotic and a little frigid. At Dusmesh the hostess and our server were very warm, friendly, and seemed to be genuinely enjoying their jobs. Its a refreshing attitude and very much adds to the overall experience. When our food came out I was struck by the just how nice the presentation was Its obvious they spend time making the food look appetizing. The taste and overall freshness is where they really shine. Its not just a little bit better, its WAY better. The currys were not overly salted or greasy. Very creamy and fresh. I got the Chicken Shahi Korma and it was amazing. Lots more raisins and nuts that I am accustomed to expecting. The chicken tasted obviously fresher, not like it had been simmering in a stew pot all day. The cheese cubes were firm, not squishy at all. The naan is by far the best I have ever had. A huge portion that had just the right amount of crispness. For 2 entrees, naan, a mango lassi, and some other extra my fiance ordered, the bill was $30. An amazing deal. Dusmesh really made me rethink what I thought was good Indian food. From now on, 100% of my Indian food dollars will be going here. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

I went there last night for dinner. this was not my first time there. I always go there. I did not know that aj, maya and their mom is not there anymore. I miss them. now its all new faces. before as soon as I walked in they always greet me and my friends with big smile and hug. last night I was not greeted at all. there was old black lady in the front standing around doing nothing and did not say hi, or hello to me. she looks very rude. compare to Ms. D. always smiling and greeting us even if she was busy. but this lady was not doing anything. could have greeted me but "NO". service used to so great and friendly but now with these new ownership no good at all. food was great. server did not ask me for rice refills. I took my left over with out rice. no water refills, before aj and maya used to be on top of everything. I asked my server whats the new owner name. she said, her name is janet. who is very rude and not good personality at all. she seems to show off a lot. this was my first horrible experience with service and new owner janet. she needs to learn how to treat customers right.

Ive been going to Dusmesh for years. One day, suddenly, I went in and everything was wrong. I didnt recognize any of the staff, and my food was not at all the same. The menu was the same but the recipe had changed. I figured it must have been a fluke. Maybe the owners were on vacation? I came back three more times and have been equally disappointed. The new Dusmesh is not that good. They used to be the best Indian in town, but now the are just OK. But, have no fear. If you miss AJ and Maya as much as I, head up to Swad Indian in North College Hill. It is their same old menu, the same staff, the same cooks, the same BYOB, the same chicken mango that will change your life, and the same service you expected when you ate at Dusmesh. Dusmesh is still OK, dont get me wrong, but why settle for that when the best Indian food in town is just a couple miles further up the road. Dont take my word for it, read all the old reviews here. It makes me sad to see that these new owners can piggyback on such an amazing history and most people will never know.

First of all, doesnt provide tasty food, I didnt like a single item except the Mango Ice cream. I do not like this restaurant but I may not want to blame them for that because the waiter himself said for better tasty food go to Kadai Indian Restaurant in Cincinnati itself. You wont find any spicy food here that matches with Indian taste because most of the customers are local and they may not like the spicy food. After couple of days I visited this place, when I checked my statement, I saw they charged a couple of dollars more than what I see on my receipt. When I called them, they could not provide me any valid reason, started arguing with me & very roughly said me me "dont you know the courtesy of paying tips to the waiter? dont you know the rules in Ohio ?". I stopped him by asking to keep the amount to himself - I am going to treat it as being pick-pocketed. My life doesnt stop for a couple of dollars, but I hate someone asking for tip when I dont like the food, dont like the service. I will never go to this place.

Tried this place for the first time and am completely in love with dushmesh . I myself have worked in 3 local indian restaurants in cincinnati (newkrishna , apna india and royal taj) and have never seen a more organised place than dushmesh , the food quality was excellent , service top quality . the buffett is so well maintained i was quite amazed just by the way it looked , if you are looking for good QUALITY food and service and a clean place to have a meal , than with dushmesh you would be really happy with. Been to every indian restaurant , ambar still rates higher for me than any other indian restaurant and i liked amol a lot too but they are not as clean as dushmesh . am totally in love with this place now .Will highly recommend this place to anyone and being in restaurant field myself for about 10 yrs i have always found it hard to rate anyone else higher than the restaurant i work at . but cant hide my love for this place anymore. BADAL :)

I am sitting in their restaurant and writing this and their waitress have asked me over n over to make something else for me so I have to say SERVICE IS GOOD! Service was excellent! But the food was sooooooo disgusting. I ordered Dusmesh House Special Tandoori Chicken and it was super DRY, they put too much vinegar to make it sizzle. Now Lets talk GOAT curry.. Cooked may be a month or so go and freezed it (good call) now serving time, so the chef dumps a whole can of Tomato sauce to do the TADKA and serve. It was cold and I had Zero taste. I go to a lot Indian restaurants and being Punjabi girl I love chicken and goat but I am disappointed in the Chef. Waste of MONEY. By the way, lassi is served Pink not white
