My wife has encouraged me to start this review with some positive aspects of my visit so here we go: ordering on the website was very convenient and our entrees (chicken with garlic sauce and kung pao chicken) were mostly fine. On the other hand.... let me start from the top. First, I cant imagine dining in here -- every table is covered with in-progress jigsaw puzzles, theres a small, dingy tank with a (hopefully) live turtle inside, there are boxes stacked everywhere in, under, and around the guest spaces...etc. Suffice it to say, the interior is bad. Not a big deal, I took my food to go and it was ready pretty quickly (another positive!!). We had combo platters that came with fried rice and an egg roll and I can honestly say this was a bad egg roll which is a real tragedy because it should be one of the easiest things to at least do adequately. When I took my first bite of my chicken with garlic sauce I was reasonably impressed but that faded after the first (of many) bites containing a cold piece of chicken. If my food had sat around at all between cooking and eating that would be understandable but I watched the man behind the counter finish it. All I can figure is that this was frozen, pre-cooked chicken thrown into a wok that did not get all the way heated up. Saddest thing of all was after our meal when my wife tried and failed to eat a fortune cookie that was apparently disgusting. I know those arent made in house but something must really be wrong if your fortune cookies are going bad. Despite the convenience of going to a Chinese food place less than 5 minutes from my house, I will definitely NOT be returning to China One.

This place is great for takeout, but I would not recommend dining in. The food is good and I am extremely picky about the quality of ingredients, freshness, visual appeal, etc. Ordering online is convenient and delivery is usually pretty fast even with the wide area. They dont skimp on the protein either and if you ask for extra veggies, more peas in your fried rice, whatever, theyre accommodating. Its my favorite Chinese takeout place. That being said, when you walk in, the atmosphere doesnt exactly say "eat here." Theres a turtle tank that doesnt scream "clean" and its apparent that most of their food is eaten as takeout. Thats okay though, as long as their kitchens clean, and I have yet to experience anything that would lead me to believe otherwise after about a year of dining here periodically, I recommend trying this place.

Theyre pretty darn good. Sometimes they set something in the middle of the table for everyone "on the house," which is nice. Last time it was a bowl of edamame. Yum. Theyve started doing a really cheap sushi lunch deal-- $7.95 for 2 rolls and a miso soup. Ill definitely be going back for that. Theyre really nice folks, and you can tell theyre invested in their place and love what they do.

The people are great there. Ive been getting the vegetable Mai Fun with extra vegetables and it is great. Ive also had the general Tsao chicken and beef lo mein. Both of those are really good as well. Im also very picky about my egg drop soup but theirs is fantastic

Only ordered takeout, but every time theyve been very friendly on the phone and in person. Very accomodating and have offered me drinks while Ive waited. Food is very good and flavorful. Broccoli beef was very, very good and always hot!

Hated it... First of the the customer service is terrible, no greetings,didnt feel welcomed at all. When I asked to buy a sweet and sour sauce I was asked what for. Food was hot but had absolutely no flavor chicken was rubbery .

I love this place. I used to work right by it. Ate there quite often. Mei Fun is not something all Chinese places have. Theirs is the best. Staff members are very nice.
