Ok so went here for breakfast on a Sunday arrived at 10:40am. There were 3 of us we all ordered breakfast as we sat there for 40 minutes and I watched other tables that arrived after us and to go orders go out the door. I finally ask the same lady about our breakfast that made a joke on how they had to go to the farm to get the eggs, she said she didnt know she was waiting on a to go order. 15 minutes later our food finally arrived. Then when were leaving the same lady tried to make an excuse that the one table that I brought to her attention that arrived later than us but received their food before us, only had eggs. I informed her that it was not just one table she said oh I didnt know that. They took $4 off our bill for our wait. Total time there 1 hour 20 minutes!

My family and I recently ate here for the first time. We decided to stop in because they were advertising fried perch at good price. I love perch. The perch was fantastic, 100% what I would expect fried perch to be. Aside from the service, which was also pretty good, everything else was lackluster or worse. The coleslaw was terrible, I ordered a side of it as an extra because I really like coleslaw. Ive lived in several parts of the country and coleslaw is a bigger deal in this region than in any other Ive been in. So, youd expect it to be good. Here its from a GFS or similar company carton. It takes like cardboard and plastic. To keep things short, well eat here again because its local, but we wont really go out of our way to do so.

to start off, this is not a gormet resturaunt. you come, you eat, you leave. nothing special with the food, common staples being freeze dried meals and hot coffee always ready to go. the decor is poor, as the place has nothing remarkable or outstanding about it. the place is almost always empty save for a few other locals who might show up at different hours of the day. its your average "truck stop diner" which makes it all the more convenient for starving travelers traveling along "new 82".

Ive been stopping here occasionally for the past 2 years. Every time I stop I get the grilled sirlion steak salad and it is one of the best salads Ive ever had! Every time i get a steak salad at other restaurants I compare it to Brookfields, i havent had a better one yet! You cant beat the price neither!

This place is really good. I was moving my grandparents into the area and we went here several days in a row for lunch. Good burgers, good breakfast, good prices. Cant ask for much more in a nice little diner like this. They are doing things right. Keep up the good work!

A very friendly place to eat good home cooked meal and very pleasant friendly people with a nice country setting. My husband and I eat here at least twice a week and feel like were at home the waitress know just what we want to drink when we walk in. Wonderful service.

Best little diner. Good food and prices. Need more of these mom& pop diners around. Looks isnt what makes a place. Its the people and there food. Prices you cant get anywhere else. Plus better home cooked food. Bests fast food any day of the week

Great homemade food. Cannot beat it. I loved their potato and dumpling soup. Also the staff are very nice and friendly. I would also like to say the tall brunette is a beautiful woman. Do not see many like her around here.

The staff are always friendly. Its almost impossible to get in there on Friday nights for their fried/baked fish specials, which I think is the best in the area. The potato dumpling soup is the bomb!

Food is excellent and you get a lot for your money. Nice atmosphere and family run. Nice place to eat and on a nice sunny day a nice day trip for a dinner out.
