I was eating here on 06/28 around 1pm, and they started serving a group of menacing looking people armed with guns on their waistbands and bullet proof vests on. They were bounty hunters, not cops. They were all very sweaty and some had sunglasses on (inside...). I got very uncomfortable and left, and I wont return to this restaurant where they serve visibly armed thugs in bullet proof vests. Theres no signage on the doors saying you cant carry concealed inside, either, so who knows who else in this Akron neighborhood is packing a gun inside this restaurant. I used to come here several times a week with my family, and they have lost my business.

Ive been here twice with coworkers and we all love the food. Ive always ordered breakfast items, so far Ive had an omelet and German fries and both were delicious. The portions are generous but doable. Cant wait to go back and try more of the menu! I rated it a four because weve always had slow service and problems with the waitress not being very present, which is annoying when youre on a lunch break and have to get back to work. Its nice to have a fresh new lunch option in the area!

The first time we went here as a couple and the breakfast was amazing! The second time we went as a family so the kids could try it. The food was good but halfway into the meal, my husband found short (like a beard or mustache) hair in his hash browns; I found hair a longer (someones head) piece under my omelette!! The kids didnt find anything. Needless to say we were totally grossed out and disappointed because we wanted this to be our new go to place for breakfast!

Honeymoon Grille is your home away from home. The staff is so welcoming and kind. The food (and price of the food) cant be beat. Its always a pleasure going here and breakfast is served the whole time theyre open. The breaded mushrooms are GARGANTUAN! The chicken salad is a personal favorite and their pancakes are so big and delicious! Cant go wrong with anything on the menu and the staff wont disappoint either. Family friendly and kids are welcome and accommodated.

Some menu items are better than others, my wife loved her pancakes but the peppers and onions on my omelette were canned and the coffee was so weak that it could be better described as dyed hot water. Also the layout of the restaurant leaves something to be desired - we sat at a table near the door and had a small crowd of people waiting surrounding/watching us the entire time we were there since there isnt any kind of waiting area.

I stopped in here with a girlfriend for breakfast today. Once a week we like to try new breakfast places. WE like to support the small businesses around us and in our neighborhood. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very nice, attentive and happy. The food was came out quickly, hot and it was great. There arent many places like Honeymoon Grille that I have run into. I will definitely bring my family back!

This place is GREAT!!! Fresh food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. BEST fried mushrooms ever! Breakfast portions are generous and the omelets are particularly delicious. For lunch, the hamburgers are fresh ground beef and taste fantastic. I am so glad we FINALLY have a place to eat so close to home this good. Only open for breakfast and lunch, so go early and go often. You wont be disappointed.

Wonderful! My husband and I came here the morning after our wedding and are here again the very next morning. The staff is delightful, the food is amazing, and you have to try the homefries! They are out of this world! So good. We never once had to ask for refills on our coffees, as all of the servers carry around pots of coffeee and ask each table, even if the table isnt theirs. We love it here!

Honeymoon is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood, desperately needed. I have been there 20+ times already, and it is consistent and excellent. Service is amazing! The review about the mold isnt the restaurants fault, as a previous restaurant owner, that is the distributors mistake and rarely happens. By far the best breakfast/lunch in the area. I cant wait to go back!!!

Theres just something special about places like Honeymoon Grille in todays world. Only open for breakfasts & lunch, but what they do, to they do marvellously. You WILL leave stuffed and happy, unless youre some kind of commie. These are the kinds of places that make a town a home. You will love it.

Our party of 10 folks was visiting the area for a wedding. A busy Saturday morning but the staff orchestrated a table after a short wait. The folks working here were amazing... Friendly... Fast... Fun! And yup... the food was awesome. Thanks Honeymoon !!!

This is our favorite breakfast-lunch spot. Everything is always perfectly cooked. Fresh, real ingredients. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. My favorites are the spicy biscuits and gravy and their burgers are dynamite. Highly recommend!
