Love this restaurant. Ive been going to this restaurant my whole life with my family. Im 24 now and its still to this day, family owned and operated. This is still the best, most authentic Chinese food I know of. Almost every item on the menu has stayed the same price for years. I love how its NOT like every other strip mall Chinese foods. Great decor, atmosphere, and its usually quiet. I will keep going here as their doors stay open. And sooooo what if your soft drinks come in cans. Would you rather them some from syrup in plastic bladders in cardboard boxes mixed with tap water and Co2? The canned soft drinks are much better for you than fountain dispensed ones anyways. Wish I could afford to eat out more and that I lived closer to Pagoda so I could go more often.

I work in the business park behind Pagoda and ordered lunch from there for the first time today. I got the Chicken Chow Mein Cantonese Style. This has thin deep fried noodles, rather than the American style with thick stir fried noodles. Very, very tasty. Lots of chicken and fresh vegetables. My co-workers ordered the Pagoda Combo Fried Rice and said they liked the flavor. Call ahead if youre ordering to-go, because it is cooked to order and may take a while. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend this place. There is no smoking in Florida restaurants anymore, so you wont have to worry about that.

Well, I am not sure where to begin!!! I asked for water to begin with. Waitress came with water in the glass. I could see that there was so much dirt/sediment/something on the glass. Then I ordered a chicken + rice dish. I could feel the chicken was uncooked. And yes, I forgot to mention that I was the only customer in the restaurant on that beautiful saturday afternoon. If FDA inspects this restaurant I am pretty sure this restaurant will go down. and yes, I left the restaurant that day, leaving more than half food behind, though I was still hungry.

Anyone who has lived in Jacksonville for any length of time knows there are not too many restaurants that provide edible Chinese food. Fortunately, Pagoda is one of them. If you are just into traditional Chinese, not Szechuan, Mandarin or Hunan, this restaurant is just like the neighborhood places we had growing up. The quality of the meats (chicken, beef, etc) is much better than most so forget those reviews from 2000, 2001 and 2002 and get over there and make up your own mind. The spicy dishes are also good but they do specialize in Cantonese.

The food was amazing!! Best Chinese food my husband and I have found in Jacksonville! The customer service is top notch as well. The family who owns/runs the place is very nice & very attentive to anything you may need. The place is very old, it seems to have all original decor from when they opened it, Im thinking at least 20yrs ago, but it is all very well kept... and aside from the older appearance, this place is fantastic, Id recommend it to anyone looking for delicious authentic Chinese food, at a fair price!

Worst General Tsos chicken ever! The sauce tasted like a combination of sweet n sour sauce and Franks red hot sauce. Waitress didnt know if carrots came in the beef n broccoli. Huge carrot chunks in beef n broccoli. Restaurant was dead and we were rushed out. Weirdest part was that the beef n broccoli actually tasted ok. Gold painted Buddha beer bottles were cool. This place has been here forever. First time going. Never again. I have no clue why theyre still in business or have been this long.

Went here for lunch. Cons- Outdated decor, and at first it smells like an old closet. But it did remind me a little of Grandmas house. Definitely 70s decor. But lets get onto the important part the food. It was fresh, and good. Not AMAZING, but it was good quality chinese food. Seemed very authentic. I will go back. I thought it was a win. Most of the negative reviews are from a while back. So glad I went despite dome poopy reviews.

We love this place! Havent dined in yet, just ordered take out...but its always ready quickly, the portions are awesome, and the quality/taste is great! We picked up our order tonight and it looks like they are remodeling inside. The new Tiki Bar looks cool and will be a lot fun for us! Cant wait to have a drink and sing some karaoke there :) The staff is always super friendly, too! Definitely worth checking out!

My friend and I went this evening not quite sure what to expect. When placing our order the woman was very kind and accommodating. The food was amazing! This is not what I expect from a run of the mill Chinese restaurant. The food was home made, but still inexpensive, and the sweet and sour chicken is a family recipe. So. Good. The inside of the restaurant was also pretty cool. I will definitely be returning!

Food was awesome. We bought take out and the gentleman who i believe was the owner was very polite. My order was some what difficult and most places get it wrong however everything came out just right. Fried rice was fresh and rest of the food came out great. The food is real chinese food and we are going back today for New years diner. Highly recommend.

The Best Kept Secret and One of the Oldest Chinese restaurants in Jacksonville. Tried many Chinese restaurants all over this city before and after I moved here. This is True Authentic Chinese food. Not fast food Americanized garbage. The owners are wonderful people. If you dont like the food here you need to have your pallet checked.

This was one of the best meals I have ever had. The service was amazing and not pushy to bring all your food at once. Meals are sizes that you never felt like you had over eaten. Will be coming back for more. My son and God daughter where even treated as adults. If you are in the area must try.

First the Pagoda is about the best Chinese decor I have been in. Looks great from outside and inside, cute tiki bar in other room- will go back at night for a cool tropical drink. Food is very good, hot and fresh. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgable and helful. Love this Jax landmark,

First time eating here and it was awful.all the meat in the stuff we ordered tasted spoiled. The fried rice was just plain rice fried, it had no other ingredients in it. The quality of the good was very poor, and small servings for the money. Would not recommend to anyone.

Oldest Chinese restaurant in Jacksonville. The pu pu platter had burning rock salt in the middle which was nice put the meat was under cooked, long wait for our food. General Tso Chicken was bland with too much ketchup, fried rice was good, subgum lo mein was good too.

This is by far the worst restaurant in all of florida...not just the worst chinese restaurant but the worst over-all. The food was dry, the food was insufficient for the money and the presentation was awful...wont recommend anyone eating there.
