This deli definitely has a wonderfully warm and cozy atmosphere, like coming to a family members home for a meal. The staff was very friendly and our order came out very promptly. I, myself, had ordered the vanilla iced coffee (normal flavoring, not the sugar free) along with the sweet daddy sandwich which was a wonderfully savory chicken salad accompanied by crisp pieces of celery, generous pieces of walnut, and cranberries that added the perfect touch of sweetness, all on a pretzel bun. Normally pretzel buns are very chewy, and hard to bite into, but this wasnt the case with Moore Street Deli as they seemed very fresh. Normally I have to add some sort of creamer to my coffee to offset the incredible bitterness of some roasts, but the particular roast they used merited none. It had a wonderful strong, slightly bitter but wonderfully sweet, coffee taste and went down very smoothly. I also had a bite of my partners Gobbler sandwich (which he orders just turkey and bacon). Im sure with all of the accompanying dressings such as tomatoes and lettuce, that sandwich would have been amazing, but even with simply the meat and the plain bagel bun, it was absolutely wonderful. It was actual carved turkey pieces, and not the pressed turkey lunch meat, with bacon that tasted freshly made on the skillet on a Sunday morning at Grandmas house. I gave into temptation and also purchased a brownie from their register, and was glad I did. I enjoy brownies with a rich fudgey, chocolate taste, and wasnt disappointed, as it was just so. Not too sweet, as to make you stop halfway through (though Ill admit, I saved half to have later at home as a treat. It was that good). The price was very fair as we purchased two sandwiches, drinks, chips and the brownie and it only just tipped over $20. We immensely enjoyed our meal at this place, and will absolutely be back to try out their other sandwiches. This is a MUST TRY for anyone visiting Southport, or any locals who have not yet tried them!

As newbies to Southport, my husband and I discovered this place by accident! It was the best accident we ever had! Although small and a little cramped, the quaintness of Moore Street Market makes up for it! The staff are ALWAYS super friendly, the food is ALWAYS super fresh, and of course - delicious. I have never had a bad meal from Moore Street Market in the four years I have been dining here. We love the breakfast Reuben! Also to the man from NJ, who apparently didnt get his coffee fast enough - Dude! Give me a break! Folks come to Southport to slow it down a bit, relax, and take in the salt air and sights. I, too, agree that if you cant at least take a chill pill while in Southport, you should probably just stay in NJ. Besides, who DOESNT want fast, impersonal coffee served without a smile? (Said no one ever...) Next time, while the coffee is brewing, take a moment to stop and smell the roses. It will surely make your wait a little more tolerable, and it might even ease the pain of that stick up your a**.

Our FAVORITE place to eat in our hometown of Southport! From the first time we visited to every time in between, they always welcome us with friendly faces, and make us feel like its a place where everybody knows your name. The atmosphere is casual, down to earth, vintagey cool...a place where you sit there and wonder, where did this or that come from. Sitting on mixed/matched chairs maybe inside to be warm and cozy or outside on the front porch to feel like youre eating on your very own front porch. Ohhhhh and the food? AMAZING, we have never ever had a bad sandwich...and the sandwiches are made fresh and to your liking. Maybe on a pretzel roll or maybe on toasted white. My favorite is the Smithville Club, but then again...my favorite tends to change because everything is so darn good there! Moore Street Market IS THE PLACE to GO!

I have been going to Moore Street Market for over 4 years now. Lately they have been absolutely disrespectful. I have given them the benefit of the doubt because of the busy season BUT I am DISGUSTED with the way they have spoke to me and other friends and family. I just placed a call to find out what their special was today and the lady I spoke to was nasty and bitter and than hung up on me. To the owners of Moore Street Market I think it might be time to find other employees because you have lost my business. I dont normally write bad reviews but I am beyond pissed off. I have never been disrespectful or rude and always left a tip. I work in customer service and I would NEVER treat a customer the way I have/was just treated. I wouldnt even be giving a Star but unfortunately, I cant post this without a star. Thank You Tara

While visiting Southport for a local fair we stopped in for some coffee. The shop has a sign over the counter the says "Good food takes time" -- honestly it seemed that any food takes time even a cup of coffee. Another local place with poor staffing and management especially on a weekend with a local fair bringing in a lot of traffic. Yes, the coffee was good but if they took 15 minutes to make a coffee in New Jersey they would be out of business in a week. My suggestion -- the workers should drink some more coffee while on duty.

Some truly awesome sandwiches and out of this word potato salads (try both of them seriously!) Emily and the gang are truly the friendliest staff in Southport. To the gentleman from New Jersey complaining about speed I would respectfully ask he go back to NJ and not return. But please try this place, take your time and savor some great food and even better people.

Continue to be disappointed. Last time they refused to honor a coupon they emailed me, unless I printed it out. Now they charge $.52 for a cup of water (because their cups are biodegradable). Problem is exasperated by lack of prices on menu boards. Seems like they milk the tourist trade and leave local, return customers with a bad taste.

Just had a wonderful lunch at the Moore Street Market. Fabulous egg salad, as well as potato salad. Everything was so fresh and nicely prepared, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Very friendly people working there. I went with some friends, and they all raved about their meals, too. This place is a winner!

Oldie type place, thought I was in an antique store, but the counter was busy, so I ordered a Cafe mocha. She rang me up and made it quickly. Nice and hot, milk was not burnt! I think Id eat here as the staff behind the counter was making sandwiches and plates very quickly and sanitation was great.

An excellent place for sandwiches and coffee! Also, the atmosphere and antiques inside are a cool bonus. Probably the only negative are the higher prices, and the overall lack of room and parking. I recommend the Smithville Club sandwich and the mocha, thru are both great!
