Downtown Cafe Carolina & Bakery is consistent with the high standards of the other CC&Bs that Ive visited. The pastries look delicious and rest of the food is fresh and delicious. This is a very nice meeting place as they staff is generous with their space whether one purchases a meal or not. Thank you for this service. This CC&B has a nice plaza outside with tables and chairs; a nice escape from the towers of downtown.

I usually get coffee or a bagel from this place and frequently order coffee for my work staff meetings and they are fantastic when dealing with catering orders or even when I stop by for a coffee and bagel. I typically only love their breakfast offerings as Ive found their lunch items rather average but their bold roast coffee is divine! Check them out for breakfast they have a lot of great offerings!

Been walking past this place on my way to work for months. Stopped in for some breakfast and a coffee this morning. Their "dark" roast is more of a medium, but its incredibly delicious. Robust without a hint of bitter. Got a breakfast harvest muffin too, which was outstanding. Obviously it was fresh, but very moist and rich without the crunchy bits getting soggy. Well done. Ill be back.

Great, light lunch fare for a reasonable price. Although the ordering area is a bit "tight", the menu boards are easily read and the staff gets your order to those preparing the food pretty quick. The food (itself) is chocked full of fresh ingredients. The dining area is spacious, well lit and clean - and its traffic flow doesnt interfere with those dining-in, per se. A great repast.

Went for the first time yesterday for lunch as it is close to office. I do not eat meat and asked for Cafe Grilled Cheese without any meat. They just put cheese on bread and grilled it. Just lots of cheese and bread. They did not even put tomatoes in there although it says so in the menu. No other veggies. Terrible taste as well. Waste of money and I am never going back.

The food is excellent and the staff is friendly unfortunately it is extremely busy and its hard to find a seat as there is no hostess. They also dont clean off the tables often so you have to bus the table before you sit down. However. The atmosphere and food definitely make up for the few flaws

Got to the City Club Raleigh after breakfast was being served so I went down to Cafe Carolina and found that Cafe Carolina serves breakfast till 11AM. Nice assortment of breakfast options. If you change the order they seem to get a bit confused.

Today we had lunch. Food was great and the service was excellent. Our menu: Fried Green Tomatoes, pimeto cheese fritters, egg burger, Fish Tacos, spinach, mac and cheese. Everything was good. The fritters were my favorite.

Atmosphere was pretty cool (we ate outside and my dog could sit with us). Waitstaff very friendly. French onion soup overpriced for what you get, but the portobello panini was incredible! Ill go back.

The food is tasty and reliable. Service staff is always pleasant. You can purchase a delicious baked good for $0.99 with a purchase of an entrée. I recommend the chocolate croissant.

The food is meh, has that frozen / microwaved kind of feel. While theres plenty of seating, and its quiet outside of the lunch hour, I ALWAYS find the Wi-Fi to be malfunctioning
