I have driven past this place many times over the years and always pass it to go to the Italian Restaurant around the corner. Tonight I thought I would give it a try and Im glad I did! I got the ACP Tex and it was great! Fast service, great food, and the price was what you would expect. Will definitely visit again!

Let me start by saying I dont like Mexican food. But this place makes some amazing dishes! The prices are great (they have a $10 family meal option!), and the food is flavorful and well prepared. This is my favorite place to eat in Avery and Watauga counties.

Chips and salsa- horrible, Margarita- horrible, Polo Loco, smelled like its been dead for a week. We only tasted them , but been charged for full price , had to argue with the manager to take any of them off the bill. Would stay as far away as possible.

Worst Mexican restaurant ever. Salsa and caso like water, Polo Loco stank from feet away. Stay clear of the chicken if you dont want to eat a bacteria called Salmonella. The manager literally grab the chips with his bare hands to service to guest.

Great service and staff, we surpriswd them on a saturday with 20+ diners. The service was very accomodating, the food is typical of "far-from-the-border" mexican cuisine. Over-salted to compensate for lack.of real, latin flavors.

Good service and friendly staff. I like its menu because of the way is arranged. I recommend this restaurant. Its very close to Blue Ridge Parkway. So you can enjoy beautiful vistas once you have filled your tummy.

All the food was pretty bad: salsa from the bottle, queso and margarittas waterred down, but the pollo loco stank from 2 feet away and i dont understand how could somebody have served that.
