I knew itd be good as soon as I walked in the door. I took a deep sniff and remembered my favorite chinese restaurants back in Michigan. It took longer to get my food than I wanted but thats because it was the lunch rush and I was really hungry. I ordered a full size General Tso chicken dinner and a quart of shrimp fried rice. It was about $18 but fed me from lunch until breakfast the next morning. The chicken was crispy but not overcooked and the sauce was delicious. The rice was soft and slightly sticky though not mushy. It was GENEROUSLY populated with shrimp that were firm and not mushy. After being in the fridge all night and reheated in the microwave, the rice was still soft and the shrimp still firm. It tasted just as good the next day. I will not hesitate in the least to eat here again. Ive eaten at dozens of chinese restaurants in my life and this easily makes the top 5.

I placed an order and drove to pick up my meal. The Singapore Chow Mei Phun. This place has a website that is active, features a full menu but THEY DO NOT HONOR THE PRICE. They claim someone else posted the site 18 years ago and that it isnt theirs. Hmmmm? Its their menu, their phone number and location. All that being said , a simple "sorry Mr. Customer, the site isnt ours and doesnt reflect our pricing but we will honor it this time". So at least, now I know and wont make that mistake. OR. While ordering, mention it over the phone if your looking online (like 90% of us) that the site isnt theirs. They actually blamed me for not saying I was looking at a menu from their website. What I ordered was $10. When i got their they wanted $14. I said no, they said too bad. Obviously this isnt the first time this happened. Why screw me? Its my fault??? Ok. Never again

This was my first time and I was craving mei fun. I had called 3 other resturants and none of them carried it. Saw this one and it had 5 stars and now I know why. It was the best I had ever had. Singapore Mei Fun is rice noodles with shrimp, chicken and pork. It is a curry sauce. Most places curry sauce is heat but not much flavor. Here had just the right amount of spice but mostly just great flavor. The portion was HUGE. It is enough for my family of 4. I just ordered for lunch for me. My husband ate a large portion too and we barely made a dent in the container. My children will have a great snack when they get home! I will most definately be back!

THE BEST CHINESE FOOD in the TRIAD...Ive been going to the Golden Wok for 13 years since it opened. I travel far to get this food and I eat in.. then I order & the staff knows me by NAME..(♫♪ you know where every body knows.. your name..♫♪) and bring some home to the hubby!! Theres enough in my Sesame chicken for me & my grand daughter to split plus I get a free tea for lunch!! As for it being crowded during peak hours.. well.. guess what?...then you KNOW ITS good if its packed!! Its worth the wait. It wins my vote OVER PF CHANG!! Have you ever waited for a table there?? Were talking HOURS!!! Well keep coming guys!! LOVE YOUR FOOD!!!

Best Chinese food in Greensboro. Call ahead they are always busy and you will soon realize why after eating their food. The Hot and Sour Soup is great anytime but especially on a cold day. The vegetables are always crisp and perfectly cooked. The ice tea is good. And, my favorite General Tsos chicken is incredible. The portions are generous. My family of four and $33 worth of food can make 2 to 3 meals. Polite staff and it wont hurt to let them know youre a Jets fan. BTW, to the prior reviewer: What kind of numb nut complains that a Chinese Restaurant doesnt have French fries? You have to be kidding.

Golden Wok has the best Chinese food in Greensboro and the area. Not only are the staff friendly and courteous, but shockingly, they know your name and call you by name if you have been there several times. Not many places bother to learn your name and face, but that is one of the things that makes them outstanding. I am sure that they actually know what you are going to order also, if you go there fairly frequently, since we are all creatures of habit. The family that owns and runs this restaurant seems to be a hardworking, community-oriented family. They are an asset to our city.

We live on the opposite side of town and do not even think twice about the drive when we want Chinese. They are mostly take out but they have some tables for your convenience if you choose to eat in. The quality and freshness here is what I measure all "take out" Chinese by and so far no one in Greensboro even comes close. They always remember you and what you order which shows their amazing customer service, especially when you consider the number of people that come through here.. they are always busy but extremely fast. Just wish they would open a store, perhaps on Battleground.

Outstanding food, and even better staff. Ive gone there for years and have tried many of the entrees; every one is served fresh, piping hot, in generous portions and always delicious. Moreover, the team is second to none. Every patron is warmly greeted, expediently taken care of, and sincerely thanked. In spite of the large number of customers they see, an effort is made to know each - I am always greeted by name, as is my family, colleagues, etc. Cant say enough great things about Golden Wok - love the food and the people behind it.

Theres a ton of places in Greensboro to buy Chinese food, but theres only one place in Greensboro, in my opinion, to buy really good Chinese food! My family used to eat at this place all the time, and only recently rediscovered it again. Same staff, same friendly service, same awesome food. Be warned, this place gets crazy around meal times, so expect some waiting. Also, its not a huge place and seating can be hard to come by. Definitely worth any waiting though. The portions are big and the prices are reasonable.

Best Chinese food in Greensboro. Ive seen a few one star reviews talking about food being cold and having to wait. If you go to a five star restaurant you need a reservation months in advance and expect to wait! Everyone knows this place is the best, so naturally at peak hours it will be busy. Ive never had cold food and since its busy the food is always freshly cooked and hot off the wok. The only way to get bad service is to tell Eddie the Jets suck, which he obviously knows.

THE BEST!! Was my first time here(Sunday, 01/15/2012) for a to-go order and it was so good!! The staff is very friendly and I got my order quickly. The portion sizes are generous and just as good as a left over meal as it was fresh! I had the Sesame Chicken, Shrimp/Broccoli, both with great fried rice, srimp eggroll., and regualar egrolls. I also ordered the Hot and Sour soup that is the best Ive had at any Chinese place. This is officially my favorite place now.
