We have been coming here for years. The coffee has always been "okay." However, this year, when I asked for a medium black coffee with an added shot of espresso i was given a black coffee minus the shot of espresso. When I asked the woman who was working there and who had no desire to talk to me or the three others I was with if this coffee has included the shot. She insisted that it did. It is hard to justify this when I didnt see or hear the espresso machine turn on as I was standing there the whole time. I also have a problem with the bottled water thing. Cafes do and should offer cups of water to their paying customers rather than force them to pinch more pennies on a purchased bottle of water that also enforces the plastic to end up laying on the ground for the next million years or so. I love supporting the local guy but the local guy needs to ensure that his employees are doing the right thing.

Weve been wintering here now for 4 yrs. and were here a half dozen times before I retired. If you love a great cup of coffee, there is no better place in the OBX, seriously. Wes roasts his own beans to their peek flavor and it is reflected in every cup! I usually get a red or black eye, & it is perfection. Why settle for a cup of regular coffee when youre have the best tasting coffee EVER right here in Corolla - sure puts Starbucks "burnt" coffee today shame - thank you, Wes Steve Heinz

Coffee was very good. Couldnt get a cup of ice water with it though. She wanted me to buy a bottle of water. I didnt want a bottle of water--issues with the mindless waste of resources and landfill space used for something that comes out of the tap thats presumably good enough for them to make their coffee with and is essentially free and no waste. Service was nice and friendly but again, got a little uncomfortable when I asked for ice water.

The owner is extremely errogant. I stood in line and watched him burrade and belittle his young employee who made a mistake in front of the entire shop full of customers. There is a time and place to correct/coach an employee and in much more constructive ways. He was also extremely rude with the customers. Lead by example- after all you are the OWNER. Sadly I am no longer willing to support him and his business.

We came in and got milkshakes and they were just okay. The barista was really friendly and accommodating, but the shake was more milk than ice cream and just wasnt that great. I wish we had come back for the coffee, because they had a pretty big selection...maybe next time!

Really wanted to like this spot. Owner was rude to customers and his staff. As others have mentioned, he openly berrated an employee in front of customers for getting an order wrong (and it was his fault). Drinks are okay, but nothing worthy of stopping.

Milk was scaled, over priced, & the Chie latte had no real Chie flavor to it. Tasted like I was drinking straight milk with a tad bit of flavor..... Plus no option of soy milk. Local customers down here a lot & will not return!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decent coffee but definitely not the best I have had. Staff was super friendly. Has only outdoor seating so check the weather if you are planning on hanging out to read the paper. Not a big selection of food.

Well first off the old man in there is nasty. Secondly, I got a medium iced drink for $5 and they didnt even fill it up to the top. Clearly trying to rip you off. Lastly, the coffee tasted awful.

The service here was terrible. The manager was rude to the customers as well as the employees. The black coffee tasted cheap. I would never recommend this place to someone.

I ordered black coffee and my wife ordered a white mocha. It was expensive and neither was very good. I ended up just tossing my coffee. I wouldnt recommend it.
