Well, the Belvedere has been here for a long time and I was lucky enough to find it! This hidden treasure is wonderful, the old-fashioned way that diners are wonderful. With the yummy smell of coffee and maple syrup and bacon hitting you as you walk in, a lovely view of the ocean and the warmest, kindest staff I have ever met. Not to mention, that the food is so yummy! Great coffee, my daughter loves the Mickey Mouse pancakes, and everything is made to order. Just a few of the fabulous staff, Chris, Cindy, Brenda, and Chuck. Thank you for your excellent service! I look forward to dining at The Belvedere for many years to come.

Walked in at 2pm after a long drive because some friends from the area told us how good it was. Immediately after being given the menus, she asked for our order because "they were closing in 20 minutes". Then the waitress proceeded to tell us how they had been there since 7:30 and were ready to go home! Really?? We just got up, paid for our drinks and left. Didnt exactly feel like we were welcomed. BTW...I hardly ever leave a bad review. But I own a restaurant and other businesses and feel the way we were treated was uncalled for. It may be good, but unfortunately Ill never find out because Ill never go back!

Cozy coffee shop with a few booths and a lunch counter, right on the boardwalk. Mirrors and big windows with wide views of beach keep it bright and roomy-feeling. Ate lunch there three days in a row, to the great satisfaction of us all (2 adults, 3 kids). Basic lunch food (chicken & tuna salad, rueben, BLT, crab cakes, fries, etc.) was consistently fresh, well prepared, good portions. Very friendly attentive service. I didnt eat breakfast here (served until closing at 2:30pm), but they seem to pack them in all morning.

The Belvedere Coffee Shop has been a longtime favorite place to eat by many locals and visitors of Virginia Beach. I have not been here in years and my visit today reminded me of how much I liked this place except they are much busier than before, which is a good thing for them. And, the coffee shop has kept to its quaint charm, hospitality and great food! Plus, the view of the beach is spectacular! By the way, the corned beef hash is so good too! :-)

I ate the crab cake omelet at the Belvidere Coffee Shop on 6/4/16 & 6/5/16. The omelet was prepared excellently; the crab was abundant and the omelet was well seasoned on the 4th. I complimented the staff and told others how much I enjoyed it. BUT I didnt have the same dining experience on the 5th. The crab meat was skimpy and the omelet was not satisfactory. I intended to return on the 6th before leaving Virginia Beach but changed my mind.

This hole-in-the-wall adjunct to the Belvedere Motel is a great place to grab good quick breakfast. You wont be having eggs benedict here (or shouldnt at least), but everything is well prepared and prompt. The staff is friendly and attentive but not oppressively so. The place is small and cozy bordering on cramped, but the large windows and energetic atmosphere more than compensate. It stays packed in the morning, so get there early.

Great little spot! Was going to the pancake house up the street but there was a line out the door so gave this place a shot. Nice view of the water. Service and food were great! OJ cup was small but everything else helped kick off the day in a great way!

I ordered it with the crunchy peanut butter and it was good but not mind blowing. Im also not a big fan of the brioche like consistency - I prefer a more chewy, bread-like texture.

The place is very small 5 booths and a bar, food is ok but the portions are small. Took along time to get our food for such a small place. Was ok, nothing to go back to though.

This has been my favorite breakfast spot for the past 3 years. Anyone who comes to visit me, I always take them here. I love the corned beef hash and the monte cristo sandwich!
