I love the herrings on Thursdays. Mom loves the buffet on Sundays. The old building needs to be rehabed. I appreciate the old rustic look but the warped uneven floors make me feel like Im falling over and makes it difficult to sit comfortably. And I dont think the ok artifacts have ever been dusted or the floors cleaned. It could be a wonderfully quant old restaurant if they would just invest in the place. For the price they charge for a meal they can afford it!

I spent my summers nearby as a kid, but we didnt eat out much back then. Now as an adult, this is almost always the first place I stop when I get back to NC! Their food is excellent. I dont think Ive ever had a bad meal. Youll swear your grandma is in the kitchen! They have some of the best eastern NC BBQ youll ever eat, and you cant get enough of their hush puppies! They offer a great buffet on Sundays too!

Love their Herrings and the rustic decide but could somebody dust and do something to fix the supports under the floor boards before someone falls through. The floors are so uneven it feels like youre gonna fall over. Just uncomfortable trying to sit comfortably.
