I went there for Valentines Day 2009 with my wife. We had the Coconut chicken skewers as an app. They were just chicken tenders on a long toothpick sprikled with a little coconut shavings. As far as chicken tenders they were pretty good but there was nothing special at all about them. Both of us then had Caeser salads which were good, they put tomatos in the Caeser salad which is diiferent but the tomoatos were not ripe and we didnt eat them. By the way the side Caeser salads were $8 each. I had the country chicken. It was chicken breast, sausage, peppers, potato, and onion in a brown sauce. I have had this before at different restaurants and it is one of my favorite dishes. The dish had alot of potential but the chicken was overcooked (dry and tough) and the sauage was bland. It really ruined the whole dish. My wife had the chicken parm. with a side of rigatoni bolognese. I have had much better chicken parm at my local diner. I couldnt believe that it had no taste. The melted mozzarella on top was a square of cheese. I would bet my life savings that the bolognese was right out of a jar, it was horrible. For desert we shared a cheesecake fried in a tortilla with ice cream and caramel. It was bad as well. The service was poor as well. Twice we asked for refills of our drinks and both times they sat on the bar for ten minutes untill we reminded the waitress and then she went over and got them. BTW they charged for every refill of soft drinks, I hate when a restaurant does this. I was extremely dissapointed after reading the reviews here. The reviews are a couple of years old and I think that the ownership has changed. It was a little odd that the staff was mostly Asian in an italian restaurant. We took most of the food home and it will probably end up in the trash.

I wish I can give this restaurant less than one star. This was the worst dining experience of my life! My colleagues and I recently went there for a going away dinner. The minute we walked in, we noticed that the place was extremely warm. The fans were on so we figured it would get cool soon. We notice that the tables were not together and when we asked our waiter if we can put tables together, he got snippy and stated hes never put that many people together. So we decided to stay with the four tables separated. We ordered drinks and when one of us asked for a glass of ice for wine, we were told that he only had two hands. We had to ask for everything.. they brought out pitchers of soda with no glasses. When they did bring out the glasses, they were dirty and the waiter seemed to be annoyed that we kept asking for ice, considering how it melted 5 minutes later. Then after an hour of not being served, he stated that it was our fault because we werent "settling down." He called one of our colleagues "Grandma" and told her to move her cup. It was just terrible. The dinner took 3 1/2 hours because of the terrible service. I ordered salmon cucina and when mine came without potatoes and others did, the waiter said that we had to pay extra and that if you got it, you were lucky and to share. The people who ordered the fish became ill later on that night. Then as were leaving, he grabs my colleagues arm and asks her if she paid for the drinks... He was just so rude and everyone was just upset about how we were all treated. They were not busy at all. I think there were only two other couples in the place. This was the first time Ive ever eaten here, and I will never return nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

Five Stars Plus Plus - I Have been eating good Italian food in Bronx , butt that is to be expected given the wide choice of Italian restaurants. I found Pasta Cucina by accident after purchasing a vehicle at Intersate Toyota and asked for a place to eat and i was told to try Pasta Cucina. Went there with my friends and since then I have eaten at Pasta Cucina more three dozen times now. I tried every item on the menu with friends and Buissnnes partners and every single time me and my company are convinced that its worth driving from Bronx to eat this delicious Italian food . The food, atmosphere & service are all outstanding. The wine list is very nice and the prices are very reasonable . Me and the people that are with me always agree the food has always been the freshest, best prepared and delicious. Now i make a habit of servicing my car at Interstate Toyota just to have a nice diner in the way back to Bronx . Bravo Pasta Cucina for the best Italian Food outside NYC

This place has been by far the worst experience Ive had at any restaurant in a very long time. Id rather go to taco bell before giving my money to this place ever again. The service was more than horrendous. I called for an order for pick up at 9pm and was told I needed to be there in 10 minutes, meanwhile the restaurant does not close until 11pm on Friday night. After placing my order, Im told to pick the food up in 20 minutes. I was called TWICE from the restaurant letting me know the food was ready. I get there, nobody was in the restaurant and 2 people who barely spoke any English rushed me out the door. They didnt even have my full order!!! All the food in the to go containers was open and spilling onto everything else. The food was also cold. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PATRONIZE THIS DISGUSTING PLACE OF BUSINESS EVER AGAIN! Id rather eat at Wendys before going back to this place ever again.

I was shocked to see poor reviews. I found out that that there were three different owners for the history of the restaurant. The present owners, who are the newest owners really know how to prepare Italian food. My wife and myself had dinner for the first time here with friends who brought us. I was skeptical because I cook myself and Im very critical on how Italian food is prepared. To my pleasant surprise, the house salad was prepared in the traditional way, the way my Italian grandmother prepared years ago; it was very enjoyable. The pizza is the best in the county hands down, freshly made like in my own kitchen. And their recipe for marinara sauce was very tasty. I enjoyed the red wine because they picked out the best ones they could find. And I enjoyed the the tartufo for desert. I will defiantly frequent Pasta Cucina of Suffern. Hats of to the chef..

STAY AWAY!!!! NOT LIKE IT USED TO BE!!!! I have not been here in a while. Used to be a great place. Walked in with a friend and first hint should have been at 8:00 on Friday night only 5 tables had customers. Floor was very dirty. Friend ordered Eggplant Parm over Pasta. Way TOO much melted cheese could not find Eggplant. It looked like a blob and tasted........ I had SPECIAL pasta with seafood. Looked like it was dumped in the plate over pasta and then crab meat sprinkled on it. Did not look or taste appealing. Worst part is we both HAVE NOW SPENT 2 HOURS RUNNING TO BATHROOM. yOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Should have went to diner.
