We placed an order for pickup on Friday night for 2 pizzas and mild wings. When the girl told us our total it was a different price than the menu listed so we just figured we were viewing an old menu. Then she told us CASH only even though in the past they accepted cards, I have never been into Popes but we wanted hot pizza and for the 1st time from there wings, so we were picking it up. We got home and opened the pizza which was ok, as it normally is and then the wings. The wings just looked like baked chicken. There was no sauce anywhere. When we called to question it the girl who answered the phone stated the sauce went on before they went into the oven, that would be fine but there was no sauce as I pointed out again to her. At that point a guy in the background started getting loud and stating I put the sauce on myself.... well there was no sauce, no apology, they were rude, and hung up. We order every Friday religiously and sometimes 1-2 other nights a week..... NO MORE.

Where do I begin.... 1) The service and manner in which they treat their customers is terrible. 2) I asked for a grilled chicken sub, since it said chicken as an option on their menu, and the woman laughed and asked what "grilled" was. 3) They have a cold sub option on the menu yet when I asked for mustard with my turkey sub, I was informed that mustard was for employees only. 4) We also ordered a soup and salad which took 30+ minutes to prepare. When we asked for our money back, the food miraculously appeared within a minute. Warning to all, do not eat here. We havent tried the food yet, but honestly were a little afraid to. Youd have a better meal getting bagel bites from the Price Chopper.

Gave over a weeks notice for a large order of 13 pizzas for a graduation party. Pick up time was 12:30 Saturday. Was assured that it would be no problem. Even told someone would be in early to make sure order was completed on time. Arrived to pick up the order with 50 people already at the party to find a hand written closed sign on the door! No call that they wouldnt be filling the order! Sorry to say that after over 20 years of going there, no longer giving them my business. Thank-you to the pizza place down the street that was able to fill the order in 40 minutes with no notice!

This place is super local, you really feel like this is for local, forget the fancy look, the super service, the nice ambiance. This is pure hard core nothing exciting good food. Ozzy Osbourne playing on the radio, the wife ballistic about screwing the romantic dinner. Drinking her brisk directly from the bottle. Best place to really feel the real life of locals. The service was super nice, the local lady with no other option but to work here. Shutting down the fan because were cold and saying: I like to climb every once in a while. Dont come here for good pizza...

Went on a Saturday night, there is no air conditioning so the 1 waitress working will be sweating her ass off when she serves you and everyone else in the restaurant. Absolutely no ambience. Pizza is mediocre bordering on bad...no flavor in the sauce or crust. Pasta tasted like a TV dinner. Look elsewhere, youve been warned.

I dined here with friends on a weekday night. The pizza was greasy and the toppings (paid for individually) were used sparingly. The water had a moldy taste and was served in paper cups. Our server swore several times to other workers and had a poor attitude. I will not return here again.

Ive gone a couple times hoping for a different out come all 3 times and I just cant go back. I went here because I was told by a friend who said when they lived here 5 years ago Popeso had great pizza. Everything Ive had here has tasted like plastic.

Take it from a local Saratogian and pizza snob, this is by far the best pizza you can get in Saratoga. The antipasta is quite good also. The service comes with a bit of attitude, but that makes it more fun. Indeed, it is the best pizza in town.

Popes is our Favorite Pizza!! We have been getting Popes Pizza for over 20 years!! We dont live in Saratoga, but go out of our way to get it there. Perfection...every time!! Perfect balance of sauce and cheese!! YUMMMMMM!!!!

Had a large ($12) and a small ($9). Enjoyed both. Good value. Even the small was pretty big. Thin, crispy crust. Sauce had good flavor. Will return - that my best compliment.

Havent been here in years, but this was my favorite pizza place when I was at Skidmore in the late 80s/early 90s. The pizza was excellent then and I hope it still is today.
