Roam Cafe should JUST be a bar/event venue. The moment you walk inside you get this airy quality of being in a up-scale cafe. However, it is NOT a cafe, but a restaurant. I do understand the "theme" of what they were going for when designing this cafe restaurant from the inside. The bar is beautiful with top notch cocktails, and a huge wine selection. The restaurant interior includes beautifully marbled tables, and seating covers. The bands that play here create an intimate atmosphere with the Park Ave. locals. I enjoy mingling with my friends outside by there bar stool table patio area. While most have complained about the poor service, I never seemed to have an issue. I am going to be realistic when I tell you, the food portion of this restaurant is a SCAM. I do not believe ANY of the food that I have tried here is actually fresh. I wandered in back to see many FROZEN boxes of food in the kitchen area. For the price you pay, and the actual quality you get, you are getting ripped off. I will be very surprised to see if this place will still be opened in the next couple of years. I do however want to try out their brunch sometime, to see if they can partly redeem themselves in the food area. BAR DRINKS: The bar drinks taste amazing. The Belly Up Cocktail takes the classic dirty martini, and makes it ten times better. It uses Belvedere Vodka which is top notch, with BLUE CHEESE STUFFED OLIVES. I could of eaten a dozen of those olives alone. The French 75 gave my champagne the boring twist it needed. It was combined with vodka, fresh lemon, lime, and a cherry finish. This cocktail will knock you over real fast if your not careful. APPETIZER: we went for the Arancini Balls. While the blush marinated sauce tasted great in flavor on top of the Aranchini, it was very watery in texture. The Arancini was dry, and flaky which is a sign it was sitting in a frozen cooler prepared days before. ENTREE: The Grilled Ribeye steak looked like it came out of dryer machine. Nothing about that steak was marbled like a ribeye. It looked like the life was squeezed out of it, leaving you a really dry piece of meat. I never saw a ribeye so poorly cut before, since i was at Texas Roadhouse. All the flavor was shriveled, like a sponge. Its an insult to the people of Rochester, making them feel like they dont know what good quality food is. SIDES: This was the biggest disaster, adding insult to injury. The Tomato and Cucumber salad was FROZEN...literally. I really couldnt believe it, and overly peppered and salted. It was not edible. The marinated artichoke hearts came directly out of a can, and you can tell. The baked mac and cheese tasted like the Kraft kind you get from the dollar store. To be honest I dont believe in the food quality here yet. Overall: Nice interior, Awesome Bar/ Bar Cocktails, Live Bands, Outdoor section, Fake Inconsistent Food, Multiple frozen/can products, Great service, and one heck of a beat up Ribeye...I will be back to try the Brunch.

To start off this disappointing experience we waited to be seated for an hour even though there were a few tables that just sat with dirty dishes on them. I ordered eggs benedict which came with home fries and a salad, or at least it was supposed to. The eggs benedict was flavorless, instead of home fries they gave me about 6 French fries that were cold, and I found a few pieces of black rotten lettuce to top it off. When I told the waitress about the rotten food she gave me a dirty look like it was my fault the food was rotten and said "Sorry" in a very condescending manner. Overall, I couldnt decide which was worse, the service or the food. Honestly save yourself the hours that it would take to have a "meal" at Roam Café and just go to McDonalds.

My wife and I went here just for a quick date night dinner. My meal was ok. I had the salmon, which was cooked nicely, but not quite seasoned enough. My wife ordered a steak well done, and it came out medium rare. They took it back no problem and cooked it longer. It took a while, and it just didnt turn our great. BUT I am giving a very positive review, because the owner came over, and even though my wife said it was fine, he could tell she was just being nice, and took her dinner off of the bill. He didnt have to do that! On our way out, he said "I hope you guys will give us another shot". We definitely will.

Finally a REAL Italian Cafe on Park Avenue, right down to the owner!! My Girlfriend and I love this place. Not only do they have great authentic food but they know how to make a Real Italian Latte. Everything is so reasonably priced here you will not believe it.. They charge ladies $4.00 for any glass of wine and all of their premium beers are $2.50.. are you kidding me???? A must go if youre visiting the Park Ave area or Rochester for that matter.

I travel all over the northeast US an average of three nights a week for work, and this is by far one of the best places Ive eaten. The owner is super cool, the steak was cooked to perfection, the sweet potato mash was so good it was like eating dessert for dinner, and the fact that there are paleo options is a nice bonus. Even if you arent "paleo" its a good option for healthier eating, especially when you travel!

Food was good. Crab cakes and a pizza it was chicken artichoke. It was tasty! The reason they fell short of stars was we waited a really long time for our menus and drinks they literally forgot about us. Other then that it was good we sat outside and on Park Ave its the cool thing to do I guess haha... it was a little embarrassing to be over looked like that. I may go and give them 1 more try

We tried out Roam as a part of Restaurant Week, and even as busy as they were on a Friday night, our food came in a reasonable amount of time and was utterly delicious! We enjoyed a delightful cocktail at the bar while waiting for our table, and all of the staff, including the bartender, were quite pleasant, despite the busyness of the evening.

Stopped in around 9:30 on a Saturday (perfect time, no wait) and ordered the Hobo and husband had a skillet breakfast. Both were delicious with local breakfast sausage and local bakery bread (sourdough was delicious!) They serve Finger Lakes Roasters coffee as well! Large portions so come hungry!!! Staff were so friendly and accommodating;

My wife and I had one of the best experiences here for our weekly date night. The food exceeded our expectations (hummus is delicious, pasta and clams was very tasty, and the Roam Pizza is just right). The price is reasonable. Please, go support this local business and keep rochester a great place to live.

Went there once for lunch and once for a networking event with Fitness Edge Media. I was very surprised with the menu options and the roast beef sandwich I had came with an amazing side of au jus and a flavorable salad. This place strikes me as a perfect business lunch location.
